If provinces (and states) can’t keep children safe, how can they take children from their parents?
There are hundreds of incidents of children being killed in foster care. It is proven that government is a terrible, abusive “parent”. The government should have parental right removed, permanently! Any caseworker that places a child in an abusive foster home should lose his/her job immediately!
The family of a three year old boy who was killed in Canadian foster care in 2007 are suing for $400,000 – hardly enough to compensate for their loss. The foster ‘mother’ was convicted of manslaughter.

Well I feel for all of you dealing with these a holes. Yes they are uneducated morons 3 Weeks to be a social. Worker a 5% success rate of been right. This is crap. I have iam dealing with these dicks. I will tell you all now there not cops they dont have that much power it sure seems that way in crappy justice system.
Dont bother talking with these people never volunteer any info. And go through every single peice of disclosure line by line your self if you can prove the lies and false allegation you will be ok. get your self a psychological test use yoyr lawyers referal for that youd be surprised who cps has in there pocket. Swrkr1, CPS social workers try to play God but aren’t up to the task. They are mentally, spiritually unable to really protect children, as the article you linked to shows. Instead of helping the children that needed to be protected, they target other families, many of which are not truly harmful to the children. Here in the USA it is a money-grabbing game … how much money can the county get from the federal government and social security fund? It has little to do with actually helping endangered children. In fact, if the parents are scary enough, social workers won’t want them as clients. Like any bully, a CPS social worker will prefer to pick on easy targets that pose no threat to them personally. Poverty stricken young parents without any understanding of the legal system are the ideal victims.
I forgot to mention that we never even got the apprehension paper and it was given to the police June or July 15th of last year. She was born February 9th of 2010. The oldest son July 3rd, 2007 and the second son January 22, 2009.
I am dealing with CPS and have been for 3 years and my two boys went PGO without mine and my fiance’s consent. And were refused a chance to even parent. We are close to losing our daughter to PGO. They took her from us ilegally and we are doing what we can to get her back but the caseworker is absolutley REFUSING to return her. We have not seen the boys since aug.20 last year. Our daughter was only five months old and were wrongly accused of abuse. I was accused of running up and down the stairs, in and out of the house which is all lies. WHAT CAN WE DO? PGO trial is in January and I want her back and them out of our lives for good!!!! She was left in a vehicle in the parking lot before leaving screaming for two hours unattended. Is that NOT child abuse right there?
I need all the help i can get. I am an aunt, a perfectly capable and loving aunt who had my niece and nephew taken from me by cps last month. I have had no answers or no instructions. the same social workers that took my little ones are responsible for a lot of pain and ripping apart of families in Alberta, including a loss of a child in one home. i was told they don’t need to have sufficient evdence to take kids out of homes. they just need a reason. social case workers think we are all guilty of things and are told by officers what ever they want to say to have these kids ripped out of loving homes and placed with people they don’t know. placed in homes where foster parents have no idea what these kids are like. nor how to care for them. case workers do not even meet with foster parents to see how the kids are coping or offer a reason why they are not with mommy and daddy. i have my kids ripped from me with “accusations” of wrong doing. not by evidence but by what a lying officer had said. i got a family lawyer to deal with this. Caseworkers will lie ad make u believe they are doing this all for the “safety”of the kids, but really, they work with the cops. social workers use a whole lot of jargon to mess with your head. i truly feel for any parent who is going thru this. but remeber if they have no reason to take these kids , FIGHT for them to get them back. god only knows what some foster homes are like. they do it for the money.

cps is NOT government, but only government funded.Certain monies have to be used in that year or they dont get the same the next term.Is that anyway to run a country?Although there is many children out there that need saving I really believe cps is overstepping the boundaries in some incidences.Some need to justify a paycheck and use anything against the parents to do so.Some parents are branded for life without justification.I for one strongly urge something to be done about them.Foster care people get a sizable amount every month to care for a child..why not use that money to help a family because most problems center around money issues.

I’m happy to hear that the parents have taken a stand to make the government responsible. I am currently advocating for 3 families in Red Deer, AB whose children are in care, or being threatened to be taken into care — or should we say, carelessness.
A few weeks ago Minister of Child & Youth Protection (or should we say persecution) was called on not receiving a report from the Child Advocate in Alberta. She was on the news being exposed for her neglect. There are atleast 1200 unsubstantiated cases of child in foster care, and 80,000 children in government custody. Whoa….it’s a crime. We’re forming a group and going all the way to the top with a letter going to Ed Stelmch, the Premier of Alberta as we speak. If there’s anyone in Canada, or in Alberta who would contact me, please feel free to give out my email address.
