Fosterers - be aware that for the money you get you are holding much-loved children away from their grieving families while the parents are forced to perform a service plan that is anything but a service to them. I call this hostage holding for the government. This is not kindness - to help misguided government agents destroy family relationships and break loving bonds.

CPS workers and fosterers - I ask that you now let the children of the innocent return to their homes where they are truly valued, adored, and loved by the parents God gave them.

Family rights are God-given rights. And they should not be ignored or postponed. Every moment these loving parents and children spend separated from one another is a torment beyond what anyone should ever have to bear.

my daughter graduateds in 2 weeks and I bet my exinlaws probably will try to stop me from going I do have the right to go to her graduation they probably go and tell county attorney /attorney general that they do want me there so far I havent gotten nothin saying I cant go a they probably try to get a order so that I cant go it is my right I cant get laywer to help me they will make a sence like they did on my son graduation back in2007 I want to bring my daughter back home with me I know my son doesnt want anything to do with me because my exinlaws and the courts system brainwashed my son but I want to know if they brainwashed my daughter against me to I am so nervous I am afraid my exinlaws will try to pull astunt from me going to my daughter graduation I need help on what to do

I really really want to write a book on my experience with DHS/CPS and my evil exinlaws but I need help I can write it I just need to find a publisher I thunk everybody needs to write a book on their horrible experience with these crooked Judges and the court system I got me a good book it is called behind the black robes failed justice by Barbara Johnson she use to be a laywer she names all the crooked Judges people need to get that book it is so good you wouldnt believe the stunt these Judges courts DHS pulls on poor people.

I am looking for somebody to represent the alledged ‘victims’ in the Desmond Rouse et al case. A terrible misconduct of justice happened here. The men are still in prison after 16 years and the traumatised children who were abducted and traumatized by social workers are looking for somebody to represent them and their interests. i went to my daughter graduation she turn 18 last month I havent seen her since 2006just like my son whose is now 21 I gave her a hug she told me she wasnt suppose to talk to me I told her she is 18 adult and I wanted her to come back home with me she did hug me back where marching back from the graduation I cant remember all what she said I had my arm around her then she told me to leave her alone that really hurt I stop right there and went back the other way and of course my exinlaws as always made a scene holloring at me telling me to leave her daughter alone I said said she aint your daughter you fat b—— my exinlaw as always threating me with the police imagen that telling me to leae her daughter alone I tried to tell my daughter that she is adult now my exinlaws are going to keep my children away from me even if they are adults the Judge put a no contat order on for me on my exinlaws or put the no contact order on my exinlas against me either way why does she come to my work and she was yelling at me making a scene they are always making a scene so now both of my children dont want anything to do with me I was hoping to bring her home with me then maybe my son would follow but I guess I didnt get my dream that I wanted for so long I hope DHS and the Judges AG are happy what they accopmished as well as my evil exinlaws at least I got to hug her I couldnt even do that to my son because when he reach 18 they hurried and put a no contact order on him against me I probably be getting getting a police knocking on my door and probably go to jail now and the exinlaws will probably will now put a no contact order on me against my daughter now I dont force my daughter or nothing when she told me to leave her alone I did just that I stop dead in my tracks and turn the other way the nerve the exinlaws telling me to leave her daughter alone its my daughter not yours she snatch her from me i feel so hurt and numb and depressed I never will get to see my children again because that evil family will never have my children break away from them.

Terri, you did the best thing – you let her know you still care and want her and always wanted her. She may have PAS but maybe she’ll come out of it, knowing now how much you care. Keep the faith, don’t give up. My PAS daughter is now 29 years old and hasn’t reconciled with me. But her older sister has. So you never know when your children will wake up. I suggest you put a website up explaining everything that went down from your point of view. I want to start a website for parents to write letters to their missing children. Will you help me get it started?

Hi,my name is rose well i was in cps not to long ago and got out in December ever since then my three little brothers are still in and have an horrible new worker who likes to start convertation with me and then lie about it. and she is doing every thing she can to keep the family away from them. she stopped all family calls and visitation me and my other sister can only see them once a month now she says we are a negative influence ect. and that she had talked to the boys and they told her they didn’t wish to talk to any of us anymore when they always tell me to get them out of cps because its horrible. i could really use some legal advice on what to do if anyone can help i wish to get my brothers and become the legal guardian if possible or at least get to see and talk to them more.

Rose, to get your brothers you would have to start by being fully employed and setting up a home with beds for all of them. Then take photos of the home you created for them and go to court to ask the judge to place them with you. As you can see it is a huge process. I wish you luck in being there for your brothers and respect you for all the love and concern you’re now showing them.

Is there legal precident involving a non-biological father that wants custody of a child he has been taking care of since the childs birth there needs to be something we can do the systems ignores us even the child has stated under oath I have always been with my dad right there. The biological is unkown from another country.

My child is staying with her aunt to avoid her being removed because of false accusations or assumptions. CPS told the aunt to apply for temp. custody which she applied for July 23 in the county she lives in & has been keeping child from me. We don’t even have charges or a case & this began June 22, 2010.How can they keep her from me without filing charges? Single mother, on a low income. His family has money & are partial. What do I do?

As of late may I have been in a world of blurriness. My ex took my daughter in 04/08 and never brought her back and I have her full blodded sister still in my custody. anyway CPS took my daughter into protective custody and immediately placed her in foster care. While they were literally in that process I was calling and leaving messages on the supervisor’s and the workers vm and I kept calling because i had gotten word that her father was in jail and the gm that is not capable of taking care of her was and I (living out of state) wasn’t sure who exactly to contact or what i was trying gather but I was extremely worried about my lil girl.
I finally got a call at 6:45 or so stating that my daughter had been placed in foster care and so on. Now I talked to the worker and was telling him I would be there just give me 1 day and he said well the court date is monday but you don’t have to worry about being present blah blah. Well I was telling him that I will be there I will be there sooner so they could just release her to me. He told me that the judge would be the only one that could release her to me. He asked for all kinds of info a history of my and my ex’s relationship. All the while refusing to tell me why my daughter had been taken. and Every time i asked the ? was ignored.
well it turns out that I too had allegations against me and I feel that these unsubstainal allegation are not enough to keep my daughter from her sister any longer that they have suffered enough. But yet they have not told me what I need to do to get my daughter home. they had ICPC send me an application to be a placement for her and they said once i am approved that they will dismiss this case. I feel that my rights have been completely and violently violated. Although I live in a different state. I should have had the chance before they placed her instead they came up with allegations against me. I don’t have a huge income and I have two children in my care but yet I have managed to get to the court hearings and of course they appoint me an attry but he never returns my calls nor emails. I really don’t know exactly why all this has happened and i have put all my financials towards this and I can’t even put the safety of my other two children as a priority because of it. So I don’t know what to do the judge order for dhs to offer assistance for travel costs. I have put 1500 or more into getting there and back and i am almost completely broke and I mean that physically, emotionally and financially and yet no one has yet helped me to understand what and why. If I am such an unfit mother why hasn’t anyone taken my children that are in my care out of my care?

Well, my kids have been in DHR custody since March. Recently the grandmother gave up the kids which consists of my step-son and my two daughters. I am able to see my kids less and less now. I have a good job and a good home. They show me indicated and on the registry. The mother is in rehab. I am trying for custody of my girls. My lawyers appealed DHR indicated decision and the judge dismissed the appeal without giving us a day in court. Now we are hearing “in the childs best interest” coming from the attorneys. We had a beautiful family. After letting in a therapist into our home and she sent us to DHR we lost everything. Now my 4 and 7 year old daughters are asking when they will be able to see me. They make the visits almost imossible and they do not return phone calls. They look fo the attorney ad litem who will work against you. I can’t seem to get anyone in this county to help me. Other counties seem very willing and seem convinced that we should get our kids back. Including therapists lawyers etc…I have seen every type of dirty trick used in my case that I have read about. They went from “not wanting your kids” to taking our kids and now making it near impossible to see them. I will start to keep a post current on what is happening to that I can be included in stats. one way or the other.

Bea, they’re doing it for money, and because they know they can take advantage of you because you live out of state and it will be hard for you to defend yourself. Learn from this site and others like it and defend yourself if your attorney won’t help.

My son was taken from me last year and it was agreed the mother of my fiance would take care of him.My fiance went to jail because he was home when the injury happened(broken femur bone).This year has been hell on me because his mother emotionally abuses me and blames me for everything.We lost our jobs,our home,my car..our relationship is over now and i am trying to get custody.I am living back with my mom and dad and they are willing to support my decisions .My mom is angry with his family and herself for agreeing to let her care for my son..at the time it seemed a great idea because we lived down the street from his mom.Then when we saw her true colors everything fell apart.I have been extremely depressed and am having troubles getting my life together without my boy.She only lets me see him and her house and then she puts me down and yells at me all the time.My ex lives with his mom and my son..why can this be…i am his mother and i was only accused of not providing a safe home for my boy..believe me had i known it wasn’t safe i would have never stayed..but my ex was never abusive..yet im finding out now he was abused as a child……im dying inside without my boy..my family can’t afford a laywer and neither can i..How can i get my son back?Please, help me someone!!

me n my wife just got our two kids taken away for a domestic violence that happend amonth ago all criminal charges were dropped against my wife but cps still took my kids n now bringing up a 5 year old dv case on my record we have not seen our children in 4 days we got them out of were they were at to a family members house the cps was soppost to notify us of our visiting rules but by coming to see us but they never came we fill really lost right now and dont know what to think or to exspect in court please help we dont know what we r facing

Tracy, this happens all the time. The CPS case is based on factors that don’t have anything to do with a drug conviction. Please settle in and read the site and message board here, and whatever else you can find on the web to help. You need to learn to advocate for yourself. It is a steep learning curve but one you’ll have to take to help your children.

Linda, Thank You, for your help, today another problem came up, my aunt had the kids , i got a paper from my lawer,[ he withdraw from my case, the judge said it was my conduct], the paper said that my aunts husband reported to the dhs that she misstreated the kids & made my son sit in the floor for a hour for taking a drink of water, he has ADHD , she as well took them back to dhs she said she couldnt handle them, they are 11-8&6 years !do you have any help for me on this ? thank you for your time

Tracy, I take it your children are now in foster homes? There’s not much you can do about that, unless you have a relative capable of taking care of them. Also I wouldn’t bother suing your aunt, if that’s what you’re thinking. You need to focus on doing things that will help you get your kids home again. Read: Who Will Help Prepare Your CPS Case?

Brooke, unless you can get those kids home again you’re unlikely to prevail in civil court or federal court. Focus on collecting documentary evidence and writing legal documents to take to court. Do everything on your reunification plan. Read: Who Will Help Prepare Your CPS Case? Also, write your declaration and response to social worker reports: Legal Document and Information Library.

After your children come home, you can find an attorney by going to the federal courthouse and looking for cases filed against the department of social services. Contact the attorneys that filed those cases. If they can’t help you, ask for referrals to other attorneys that might be able to do it.

Please help with advice or refer me to someone else. I was asked to do a psyche eval by the cps and learned my rights the day before and insisted that the evaluator let me write notes to explain my yes or no answer for future records since I had no yes or no and was thinking that I might as well flip a coin. I gave advice outside to another woman and the evaluator didnt like it.

I sat down with a powerpoint presentation from the evaluators college website for myself to read and the lady working for him said “thats ours, did you get that from the internet?:” I said yeah, I had to copy and paste and put into microsoft word and fill in the words with black because they showed up invisible and then i printed them out.

I got kicked out of the test room and now I am thinking I want to go to court against the cps.

the worker keeps trying to convince me to stay with their agency and not to have court involved and Ill get my son back from my parents, but I dont believe him. I want a fair hearing. I am worried that i might not be given a fair hearing in court, but at least it would be fairer than cps interpreting my mental eval for the court so they can do it first hand instead

this happened to my family, when i was a child a cps worker came and removed me from my family because someone called and lied on us. i spent the last few years of my childhood in a foster home before running away b/c i wanted to be back with my family and no cps worker was going to tell me different. We spent 4 years in court fighting these ppl. i live in new york state and ill tell you the people who call and lie should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The most painful thing ive ever experienced as a child victim of these angencies is the fact that i was wrongfully ripped from my family. It caused me years of therapy and working thru the emotional issues this has caused for me now in my adult years. Please put a stop to the liars who call cps

A woman i know called and made false reports about everyone in our apartment building. these workers came in and found no reason to comeback further. I suggest that when people call and use cps to harass and intimidate you should gather all evidence of harassment from that individual and turn it over to the police. Let socialservices know that the person who called is using their services to intimidate and harass. Many people i know cannot afford those large lawyer fee’s. Its costly, its time consuming. I have been ina situation like this before so i suggest revealing the caller/ harasser to the police andthe agencies so that they know that the person is using them to start trouble. more than likely charges should be filed against the false accuser

my son was taken when he was only 8 months old he is now about 14 months they claimed he was “emotionally damaged” because he was unhappy when TAKEN from his parents, even though at the tdm all the people who knew my son described him as an exceptionally happy baby who rarely ever cried and was always cherished and adored by his parents. That list included my pastor his wife my dad my step-mom (who are both foster parents) and the baby’s godmother those who spent the most time with our son. Our attorneys told us it is hopeless partially because the advice they gave us to “comply” aided them in builsding a case against us.

Before Steve and I go together he was with a woman for a few days and he broke it off with her because she cheated on him. In June him and I are already living together and in Nov we got married. I have known him for over 16 yrs prior. We used to work at Wendy’s together. Anyway in June we got a knock on our door by CYS for him to get a paternity test done, this is how Jayden came about. Jayden has never ever been in our home or in our care so therefore CYS has never had any grounds to keep him from us or to try to take Steve’s parental rights away. Second they are trying to use a juvenile case against steve which is illegal also. Due to the juvenile case he has had to take a lie detector test and was told if he passed his visits will go up. He passed the lie detector test with flying colors. Him and I both have been put through the ringer. They have broken a PFA I have on someone with third party contact stating this person’s full name in paper work, they have put my minor childs full name in paper work along with our address and phone number that people we do not even know are seeing. I have been made to go to non offending sex offenders classes in which I have passed and am done with. We have passed all of our parenting classes, acing them. We have gone through our own personal counseling on our own and they wanted us to sign releases for them to gather information on us to say that we are mentally unstable to raise a child. Mind you we have and they know been co-parenting Dawson together for over a yr now. Due to us not signing releases they say we have “secrets” in our home. We have now signed releases figuring we won’t add full to the fire. We have on our own went and got ourselves ceritfied in adult, child, infant cpr and first aide, paid out of our pockets. We have also been called retarded. Lies of things we have supposively said get made up about us also.We do nothing wrong at all at the visits and it is documented as such. Still they are saying we are unfit and will not put Jayden in our care and not only that our visits still remain the same at 1 hr a week. We go to all of Jaydens doctor appointments, we provide food, clothing for him to the foster parents plus bring our own diaper bad with his neccesities. Now they are trying to say that we do not take Jaydens needs in concern and that we have anger management. Which is not true and at the last court hearing we had 3 out of 5 people defend us on it. Its been a long, hard, drawn out battle and we are exhausted and stressed out. I have done so much research especially these past few weeks. There is a support group in our area that deals with situation like these. To sum things up CYS workers are stealing babies for no real reason, especially trying to take away the rights of fathers, and those of us that are having this happen to us are backed up against a wall with them, they abuse their power and justify it the sad part is most times they get away with it. It is a black market for babies and its legal. What most do not know is that the parents adopting these kids still get paid through government funding even after adoption and CYS receives more funding from each child that is adoptable (meaning babies) who wants an already “damaged” child. This is all sad but its true. The only way something like this is going to change is if more people are aware of it and we all stand together. Do not think for one second that you are a perfect parent and nothing like this could even happen to you. There is a court case going on now in Wilkes-Bare with 49 parents suing the county for the same reason. Please help my family and many others on Mothers Day by putting a Teddy Bear or doll out by the local court house with your story or someone else that you know attach to it. Stop this tragedy before its too late. Thank you anyone and everyone for your support. We know Steve did not go about things in a Christian manner when it came to conceiving Jayden but that is between God and him and he has and is trying to make it right. I sent my court appointed attorney the letter him the letter on this site and he told me he would be withdrawing himself from my case but not before he became upset with me and told me not to question him!!! He told me I would have to wait to see him in action in court. Since our trial date is approaching I do not believe she will approve his decision. In the mean time what other steps can I take to be proactive? What do I do next? What can I do next?

what do you do when you dont have money for an attorney. you dont have family dependable – actually you had to move across country to get away from physically threatening and emotionally abusive family (local moves in the past only made them drive a little further). You cooperate with their investigation, they tell you the find nothing – but now they want to come up with the conditions to hand to you. Written proof from the false accuser shows they lied. Medical records disproves the case. Financial records disprove their case. But I guess we are the new money making targets. Sorry – I cant help but feel anything less than totally unfounded is an admission of guilt. This includes any classes, they want you to take.

Hello, i have had my two baby girls taken away from my husband and I. My husband had a nervous breakdown the nigh before he had called the cops,they had came to the residents,I was asking please he needs to be admitted they said oh just tell him to go sit down,it was sicking.The reason he wanted us to leave when he was going through all this is to live a better life we have been together 5years! He is black im white since we have been together the people around this prejudice town we’ve been treated horriable. Every time we moved in an apartment we had to leave because of that we need justice there is so much to this case it is unreal i hope I can talk to someone about the whole incident that had taken place back to the day the children were removed. when the cops came the next day again at this point i was going too my parents that morning even before i knew the cops were on there way,so when they arrived they were going through all of or things they spilled pills on the floor that they took out of my purse and just kept saying i will get him for something looking for any reason to aresst him there is way more to that also. So 3 hours later caseworker shows up and says ok pack them up 5days worth of close hurry lets go and i started crying and saying why why are you taking them from me i just could not understand why police were telling me to grab clothes for all of us she said your homeless now scum.I was so hurt I don’t know what to do my babies are gone now for 6months They want to come home so bad and we want them home i never spent one night without them! i have so much more to say please someone can you talk to me so i can tell the whole story I just have bits and pieces!! PLEASE HELP US CONTACT ME BACK SO I CAN EXPLAIN AND ALL THE SUFFERING!

I was informed in 2009 that I had a child in cps custody in ohio. I took the steps to get my child down here Texas. My first court hearing I appeared in person the summer of last year, my next court hearing was by phone earlier this year. Ive had two lawyers who only finds it neccesary to inform me the week of my court hearings.
Now that my daughter passed away august of 2011, in foster care. Nobody wants to talk to me, yhe funersl home contactedthe mom the day of the funeral to inform us of hrt death.
I didnt get a chance to meet or say bye to my child, can I make somebody pay for my loss?

Yes, get a lawyer to sue them! A lot of parents win in cases like this.

Man it is time someone steps up for these children. This has been going on way to long. We have to all do our part and work as a team. Take reports of what is going on and don’t do anything thay CPS wants you to do. Find your own doctors and parenting classes and other programs then you will find people that are going threw what you are going threw. Fight Fight Fight I have been fighting over a year for my 4 boys. These evil people are money grubbing people that hurt children.

To whom it may concern, I’m in need of advice and help I have a open cps case in elpaso tx since 2010 and and i have had several problems with my case worker and my case was opened when my ex husband stabbed me I have done everything asked of me and more and they returned my children in February of 2012 but I’m monitored the issue has come down to this my fiance the man that my children call dad the man that supports us and keeps us safe was station in north Carolina and i was forced to stay in tx cause cps made me sign a safety plan stating I must stay but my case has bin drawn out past its allowed time so with no support system in tx and unable to work do to my injuries I inquired by my ex husband it was hard on my family and i was being threaten by my ex inlaws stating they wore going to take my kids and they wore stalking me i informed everyone but no one helped me so I made the best choice for my family and I,i left to be with my family in north Carolina and have just arrived and i called my case worker and informed her told her I’m not running or hiding and if I may get a cps work assigned to me here and now she is trying to get permission from north Carolina cps to allow her to come over here to take my children away PLEASE HELP ME AND MY FAMILY ! Today they took my kids my elpaso cps worker came to north Carolina with out a warrant or anything and took them.help please

The mother of my child was arrested and my son is now with her mother (grandmother) I went to the police to escort me to get my son because the grandmother will not give him to me. I am on birth cirtificate but police told me that the mother of my son still in jail has rights over my son. She told the grand parents not to give him to me while still in Jail. I filed for custody Is this legal

Alex, the best way to take care of that situation is to file for custody, which you already did. I recommend that you not try going through CPS to get custody because CPS is likely to investigate YOU and take your son into foster care even if they have no real evidence against you. See: Child Custody Battles and Child Protective Services (CPS) for more information on how this might work. And yes, I think the mother, when she has custody, can decide who her child will stay with while she’s away. Talk this over with the judge when you go to court and hopefully he/she will come to a decision that will be for the highest good of all involved.
