Suzanne, so sorry you phoned the wrong agency. You should probably follow the psychiatrist’s recommendation. You have to protect your younger children. I know that hurts, because I’ve had a child somewhat similar. Well, now with CPS involved you will have to follow the court ordered service plan if you’ve been to court and agreed to their neglect charge. Please join us on the message board if you want feedback on your case.

Why CPS charges you with neglect when you’ve done nothing but try to get help for your children: this is an agency that looks for people in distress then kicks them while they’re down. The caseworkers may not want to hurt you, but they’ve got a “one size fits all” plan (you’ll see, it is called a “service” plan) and they don’t make any allowances to help people in the ways they need rather than forcing them into their plan. This is because the laws and funding give them limited choices, due to corruption at the Federal level of government.

cps in Houston,Tx is not doin there job.I strongly believe that they do not stand for protecting the children,they remove children based on their own thoughts not taking into consideration what the real issue is.My children were home interviewd and my children expresse themselves from their heart of the abuse and neglet that their father does to them and NO ONE HEARS their Cries. I did what I could to protect them and CPS failed to their JOB!

i have been going through a tough time with my 10 yr old shes been to numerous institutions, several police reports made due to her physical abuse on me, psychiatrists recommendations for her to be placed in group home. i have two younger boys who are being exposed to her behaviors and that doesn’t need to happen i called cps to ask for help and they are charging me with neglect. why is it that i have not done anything and being charged with this. are they crazy what can we do to fight this organization something needs to be done at a national level and pronto. parents are suffering and being charged with false charges for their child acting out.why???????

Missy, have you been to court? Do you have an attorney? If no attorney, you need one right away. Please register at the message board for more feedback on your case. I am guessing you have other children that the caseworkers want to protect. If so, do not ever let your husband into the home or around them or the caseworkers will take your children. Why would your stepdaughter accuse the wrong person?

My husband has been falsely accused of abuse of my stepchild and has been made to be seperated from from our family too. Stepchild does not live with us but with her mom and stepdad. How long of a process is this CAC meeting with stepchild going to take so the right person is caught and/or my husband is cleared of these allegations. We firmly believe that my stepdaughter is still in the home with perpetrator and nothing is being done about it because someone accused my husband. This is very frustrating. My family is also being torn apart. Any suggestions from Linda M.

LC – first, please don’t use your name to write about your case on the internet. It is an unusual name and the caseworkers will probably be looking for it on the internet, using Google. Second, if you still have your kids you are luckier than most. Do try to do everything they request. Bucking them at this point could result in losing your kids so bear with it. I know it is hard to complete the services, but do your best.

August 18, was my arrainment. My children are still in my care. They have terminated my husband’s parental rights which I don’t like. ChildNet is involved, Children’s homesociety, and a mental health clinic. My children and me are being forced to take classes. I have to do individual counseling, parenting classes and family counseling. My children have to take individual and family counseling. On June 2, 2010, there was a domestic issue between me and my husband. CPS didn’t say that they were filing a dependency case, they simply said you and your children are court ordered to take classes and if you don’t attend they will remove the children. My husband and I are being charged with neglect. I don’t have a job and my van’s transmission is out, and I can’t go look for one because of these various classes that I am in, but they insist that we take these classes. I was homeschooling my children and the ChildNet advocate told me that I can’t homeschool them, I am very upset about that. I just started a new homejob on August 16th and I was told that if I missed my court hearing that me and my husband would lose our children so I had to take off from work. These people have nothing better to do and are wasting tax payers dollars. Every night before going to bed I am praying and every morning when I wake up I am praying because these people haven’t gotten to know us as loving parents, but they are just doing a job for a pay check. It’s crazy.

I am in arapahoe county colorado I am in the appeal process because they terminated my parental rights. I miss my baby. I did every thing these people asked of me it didn’t matter they refused to place my daughter with any family my baby was taken to abusive foster parents and there for it doesn’t matter that I completed my treatment plan. They say my daughter is in a perminate home and that’s all that matters. Well why do criminals deserve a fair trial and family court makes up what ever they want and that’s all that matters. I need help with an appelat attorney and someone to help me sue gal the county and foster parents for neglecting and abusing my precious baby. God please protect my baby and return her home safe!!!!
