Child Protective Services laws and agencies are abusive to families and children. This site provides support and information to parents falsely accused of child abuse by Child Protective Services.
FightCPS does not advocate or condone violence or illiegal activities of any kind.
FightCPS is intended to help people learn enough about the law to be able to successfully defend themselves and their families against false accusations using legal documents and strategies that put parents in a stronger position when they go back to court.
For more information, see the FAQ.
Child Protective Services, CPS, has devastated and destroyed hundreds of thousands of families in America during the last thirty years leaving a trail of broken hearts, broken dreams, and shattered childhoods.
Rather than helping families, government agents have used unconstitutional laws in Juvenile Court to rip children away from their loving parents, break asunder God-given, natural, parent-child bonds, and adopt the children of the grieving out to others who profit financially with large monthly adoption subsidy payments.
Child Protective Services must be stopped! The law that started this, CAPTA, must be repealed. We must work tirelessly to inform the public of this very dangerous travesty of justice. We must keep faith knowing that if there is a God, there is an answer and a way to end this heartache.
Child Protective Services Agents - please come to your senses! Family destruction on false or trivial grounds is wrong, reprehensible, and inhumane.
Fosterers - be aware that for the money you get you are holding much-loved children away from their grieving families while the parents are forced to perform a service plan that is anything but a service to them. I call this hostage holding for the government. This is not kindness - to help misguided government agents destroy family relationships and break loving bonds.
CPS workers and fosterers - I ask that you now let the children of the innocent return to their homes where they are truly valued, adored, and loved by the parents God gave them.
Family rights are God-given rights. And they should not be ignored or postponed. Every moment these loving parents and children spend separated from one another is a torment beyond what anyone should ever have to bear.
It is unworthy of human dignity to allow this terrorism and torture of families to go on without saying something, speaking out, and trying to make a change.
Site mission: To provide information and support for families attacked by Child Protective Services and child welfare agents, especially those families facing false or trivial accusations of child abuse or neglect; and for researchers working to protect natural family rights.

Terri, you can file a motion to contest the child support on the basis of double or triple dipping. Do whatever you can to get verification and documentation of their income sources first.

Terri, keep up the good work. Check around to see if there are any smaller weekly papers that would appreciate articles about CPS cases. That’s how I got my start, in a weekly. I was thrilled this week to see a local weekly has an article about a CPS case.
In any case, if you can keep protesting regularly – every week if possible – people will notice and more people will join in. Eventually the news stations may start to take your concerns seriously.
Also – try going to your county board of supervisors meetings and using your three minutes (or whatever they’ll allow you) to give your opinions on CPS and to recommend that CPS funding be cut to save the county money. If CPS funds are cut they’ll be forced to focus only on cases where children are truly abused, and to leave unabused children alone.
Also – write letters to the editor of your larger newspapers, and check with the local cable station to see if you can have your own program time slot – or if there’s a talk show host there who might want to interview people in your group.

IOWA follow KANSAS;
Kansas citizens have been successful in getting the media involved.
Citizens-for-change in KS, was spearheaded by one person.
What folks have done so far as the weekly throwaway papers has been to use the CLASSIFIED SECTION to pay to get their cause out to the public.
“DHS IOWA” DISCUSSIONS would be one keyword to use.
AAAAABUSED by DHS Iowa would be another.

WA State Closing Down CPS…It Has Already Started
There is legislation that is ready to pass but the rumor is that the state has not waited for the governor’s signature. (Or, the governor has not waited for the legislation.)
It is a very bad idea to transfer CPS services over to a nonprofit agency because there will be no openness or accountability.

My son was removed from our home by the police for attacking me. Months of drug problems with him and probation already. He claimed later in court that I had beaten him all his life when they were going to put him in a program. Court then placed him in fostercare even though CPS evaluated out his claims and emmidiatley closed there case. Never even speaking to us. My question is childsupport in the county we were in closed the case saying it was not legal to collect support from us when the child was removed for his violence. Now 4 months later we moved into another county and they are trying to get support and ignoring what the other counties childsupport attorney said. Can they have a support case against us?
Comment by Les — January 26, 2010 @ 10:52 am
Les, the child support laws are different in every state. You should go to your local county law library and ask to look at your state’s child support laws.

I had found refrence before but cannot locate it now. We are in CA. So strange for one county here to say one thing and another just ignore them. Thank you, I will try to keep looking.

Stay strong, Les…

wow…I am a stay at home mother and now they are trying to sue my husband and I for child support seperately. This just continues to become more rediculous. *sigh*
Comment by Les — February 12, 2010 @ 9:19 am
Les, that’s the first I’ve heard of separate child support for a married couple. Perhaps they think they’ll get more from the worker if the other person is considered a separate householder?
