The county of Ventura abuses their powers. My kids were “kidjacked” as well and I too was there during the shooting at the juvenile detention center. I can in no way justify violence although. Making them squirm is a good, educated start. Document and call them on EVERYTHING and call the media as well and get a message out to the public and form support groups. I am in a situation where they have mandated me to ridiculous things and I am supposed to keep a job on top of all their mandates. I drank some alcohol one night and some food caught fire. A disgruntled roommate called the fire department and they took my kids, even though no one was harmed and had not even the slightest chance of being harmed. This same roommate filed false charges against me for terror threats against them because I kicked her out of my home and they changed my reunification plan and added mandates. Without giving too much away about me, they do in fact “withhold” evidence and I am willing to sell my soul and in the process of doing so to fight them with the best legal representation I can find. My situation was an isolated, unfortunate incident and they are treating me like the whore from hell and treating me like I have no rights to my children and I have 2 months sober, but they don’t care. The court appointed attorneys don’t give a damn about any of the clients, which means I am going to have to get rid of everything I own to get proper representation for them to take me seriously. I have no history of drugs, violence, abuse or anything of that nature and have been a business owner for some years. They are making me jump through hoops to reunify with my children and it is to the point of being completely ridiculous (for instance (warning, a little exagerated, but not too far off), take 200 parenting classes, test randomly for alcohol, go to rehab and get 1 year sober from alcohol, plus go to aa at the same time one year after that, see a shrink and a therapist, then see your children once a month only and we won’t tell you where they are at all because you are a potential terror, (hence the false allegations that were dropped by the DA). If anyone knows of a hard ball, ruthless, attorney in Ventura that can help me, please provide the information here. I knew of one by the name of “Gardner” but I think someone got angry and disposed of him, like seriously. Bottom line, if you don’t have an attorney that is paid for, you will be completely screwed, completely. If you don’t have any money because of the economy, sell EVERYTHING you own to fight for your rights and don’t give up. They get to sleep at night with their familes, while you sit and suffer and wonder about what is going on with your children and they really don’t care. They have to DRAG everything out to justify their jobs as social workers and I have spoken to too many others who have been in the same situation. I think most of these cps workers were bullied by the cool crowd when they were younger and therefore, they have some sort of wierd agenda for payback. I mean, have you not taken a good like at most of them? They all look like they need to be on the “special people” bus and we somehow remind them of the cool kids that pointed at them on their ride.

You bet the civil suit was filed! And so we begin the protracted adversarial process - and it is a lot of work -

BUT SILENCE ONLY BENEFITS THE PREDATOR - IT DOES NOTHING FOR THE PREY.

So even if it’s hard and daunting - and it is, I know - you are going to have to learn some law before you can parent…Chip up, shoulders out - and make friends with your local law librarian!

Also don’t forget that simply because they have ever taken a child at all - regardless of the outcome - they have the right to take that child again almost at will. I cannot and could not live with that.

Until there is reform, every avenue available must be pursued and exploited to right the wrongs and show the children we can’t be scared away from them.

I tried to file lawsuit but attorney general kept having the courts dismissed the person is Charles Phillips he is so corrupted I filed with the federal courts Mr Charles Phillips got something to hide.

Can you give me an update? Was the civil suit filed? The reason I am asking is because I was trying to find out how to file suit against San Bernardino CPS. They are holding my babies in “baby jail” (foster care) without good reason. They dont care that they have torn our family apart. They just dont care as long as they are able to make money from the kids they hold hostage. I am terrified that they will adopt my babies out because they can. I will not stop fighting…I dont want to have to learn the law, i dont want to have to go to court, I dont want to have to spend every spare moment doing research, I jsut want to be a parent. You keep fighting too.

I myself have had my child legally kidjacked by CPS here in Ventura County….legal aid will not help and most attorneys that Ive contacted wont take case because of lack of funding and fear of retaliaton from cps family courts judges…my child is now being held in a juvenile center that has been the target of a gunman who shot 4 shots at the center on monday the 19th of oct When cps came into my life I had a home, state benefits and a child..today I have been left homeless pennliess and childless due to a social worker named ester olifson. the system here is riddled with corruption and mistakes…do my child have to die before this will end…good luck if you have no money to fight…..the cps nazis will prevail unless we join together and fight this corruption.

May I respectfully suggest she might wish to look through Lawyers who take CPS cases pages, also?

Also for the daughter: Does not the Education Law Center in Oakland represent such cases?

Perhaps it is called the Youth Law Center.

There are close to 300 attorneys and groups on fightcps.com About 50 or so are Calif. attorneys.

Usually the paralegals can also steer folks helpfully, too.
