Although, I pretty much agree whole heartidly with your point you fail to take into account the amount of time the state funds a worker to be in the home with the family analyzing behaviors and relationships to determine if the home is fit or not, is minimal. I feel that if we are asking social workers to take on the huge responsibility of determining wether or not a child is being abused or neglected and ultimately the childs placement - we should make sure that our tax dollars are paying for it. States are funding these programs way bellow the neccessity - therefore children fall between the cracks. The state is repsonsible to at least provide enough resources to allow workers to make the best and most accurate decisions? Many social workers are carrying 50-60 cases at a time - 50 - 60 absued children that they are asked to visit bi weekley some monthly and make detralied assessments. In other words they have atleast 15-20 huge emergencies a day. While they visit one child they know they have to drive across town and meet with another child with only 1 more hour of the day left and no alloted overtime and mandatory furloughs creating inevitable backlog .. That backlog at times proves to be deadily. Its easy to blame a worker; its easy to blame the entity. But if we want to make change and help protect these youth we have to point the finger in the right place. The Gov in California just cut 80 mil from the CPS program forcing higher caseloads and the inevitable backlog will grow worse. This is where the problem lies- at top. If we can collectively join forces and look for reform at a national and statewide level we will save lives. If we continue to blame to trench workers who are streched beyond emotinal and physical capacity we will never solve anything. ens - its the workers fault; if they do remove the child and something goes wrong yet again its the workers fault.

What about vindictive neighbors who apparently have influence with the Police Department (on the big island).

Information is getting back to me that he's been calling the Police Meth Hotline and reporting I've been dealing. I work in Law Enforcement myself (diff. Dept) and for the last two days I've been under surveillance 24-7 with what I believe is a Vice crew of approximately 10 to 20 spooks watching my every move. I finally put up a large sign inviting them to shake down my house and get behind the fucken TRUTH.

A year ago I exposed this asshole neighbor (informally of being a sex offender). I know personally, he tried to violate my wife

Please direct me to the right place for some help.

Thank You,

A SECOND AMEN TO THIS ARTICLE. THIS IS ONE ARTICLE I AM KEEPING WITH ME BECAUSE IT HITS EVERY POINT, MOST IMPORTANTLY THE OVERBURDENED SOCIAL WORKERS, NOT TO MENTION THE OVERWORKED COURT APPOINTED ATTORNEYS, WHOS JOB IS EVEN MORE IMPORTANT DUE TO THE SEVERE NEGLECT THESE CHILDREN RECEIVE FROM CPS. UNFORTUNATELY, UNTIL THE DEFINITION OF THESE KEY WORDS...ie: ABUSE, FAILURE TO PROTECT AND IMMENENT DANGER, BECOME MORE SPECIFIC, THERE IS NO WAY TO LEGALLY FIGHT ANY OF THESE LOSERS. I AM THE NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR TO SACRAMENTO COUNTY, WHO MIND YOU, IS FIGHTING A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT, AND AM WATCHING CLOSELY BECAUSE THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I AM FIGHTING HERE.
OVER WORKED SOCIAL WORKERS AND APPOINTED ATTORNEYS, THAT GIVE LITTLE TO NO REPRESENTATION, ABUSE THESE CHILDREN WHICH ALL LEADS TO A SEVERE "FAILURE TO PROTECT"
hmmm....NOW THAT SOUNDS FAMILIAR (300b) I believe..
THANK GOD FOR THIS WEBSITE....IT HAS KEPT ME FOCUSED AND FROM GOING CRAZY; AND FROM THE MOUTH OF "YES, MY PRIVATE ATTORNEY....HONEY, YOU SHOULD BE PARANOID IF CPS IS IN YOUR LIFE, I'VE NEVER SEEN A MORE CORUPT AND EVIL GROUP IN MY LIFE" HE USE TO BE A CRIMINAL DEFENSE ATTORNEY, AND STATES THAT "THOSE MURDERERS WERE A CAKE WALK" COMPARED TO THIS AGENCY!!
