Child Protective Services laws and agencies are abusive to families and children. This site provides support and information to parents falsely accused of child abuse by Child Protective Services.

FightCPS does not advocate or condone violence or illiegal activities of any kind.

FightCPS is intended to help people learn enough about the law to be able to successfully defend themselves and their families against false accusations using legal documents and strategies that put parents in a stronger position when they go back to court.

For more information, see the FAQ.

Child Protective Services, CPS, has devastated and destroyed hundreds of thousands of families in America during the last thirty years leaving a trail of broken hearts, broken dreams, and shattered childhoods.

Rather than helping families, government agents have used unconstitutional laws in Juvenile Court to rip children away from their loving parents, break asunder God-given, natural, parent-child bonds, and adopt the children of the grieving out to others who profit financially with large monthly adoption subsidy payments.

Child Protective Services must be stopped! The law that started this, CAPTA, must be repealed. We must work tirelessly to inform the public of this very dangerous travesty of justice. We must keep faith knowing that if there is a God, there is an answer and a way to end this heartache.

Child Protective Services Agents - please come to your senses! Family destruction on false or trivial grounds is wrong, reprehensible, and inhumane.

Fosterers - be aware that for the money you get you are holding much-loved children away from their grieving families while the parents are forced to perform a service plan that is anything but a service to them. I call this hostage holding for the government. This is not kindness - to help misguided government agents destroy family relationships and break loving bonds.

CPS workers and fosterers - I ask that you now let the children of the innocent return to their homes where they are truly valued, adored, and loved by the parents God gave them.

Family rights are God-given rights. And they should not be ignored or postponed. Every moment these loving parents and children spend separated from one another is a torment beyond what anyone should ever have to bear.

It is unworthy of human dignity to allow this terrorism and torture of families to go on without saying something, speaking out, and trying to make a change.

Site mission: To provide information and support for families attacked by Child Protective Services and child welfare agents, especially those families facing false or trivial accusations of child abuse or neglect; and for researchers working to protect natural family rights.

Change is needed…

A few days ago a grandmother left a comment here that I think is important enough that we should all be aware of it.

She directed our attention to the Change.Org website where there’s a section for us to write about changes needed in the child welfare system. Her suggestion for change: Investigate and Revamp the way Child Protection Services Runs their Business.

You might also want to see what you can do to request change at President-Elect Obama’s site, Change.Gov.

  2. Regarding the comment above by the grandmother regarding change,
my suggestion would be to put a petition on the Care2 website, stating that the CAPTA law needs revision and accountability! If this is done, a lot of problems would be resolved.

  4. I am so glad that I found this site. My ex boyfriend lived at my parents house for 9 months and he did nothing but turn my family against my new boyfriend and me. My ex and parents called cps and told them a bunch of lies. I have cancer and I am on pain pills for the pain and i am trying to stay alive for my children. They called cps and said that i am a drug addict and neglect my kids and just kept calling in lies to cps. My 7 year old came home from a visit from my parents and his dad because they all live in the same house and tells me that his dad whom is the ex choked him. I told this to the cps worker as well as my son and she just rolled her eyes. Then my boyfriend I had at the time beat me up when the kids were not at home well here comes the cps worker again saying that she is going to take my kids away as i am lying in a hospital bed. How can they come after me when the one who beat me up is in jail and my ex who is also the father of my kids choked my one son and she sits backs and does nothing but threaten to give my kids away to my parents who teamed up with my ex to start all of this and my parents abused me my whole life and over this summer kidnapped my children. This is crazy and something needs to happen to the people who are doing this to others for money or jealousy or any messed up reason.

  6. Children are our future, yet it appears they are being alienated, used, abused, discarded, maimed, exploited and even murdered all in the name of power and money! I will do whatever I can to stop the abuse of innocent children, including my own, who are being emotionally and possibly physically abused, thanks to our wonderful system! Please help me in my fight to reform CPS. They MUST be brought in line with lawful investigation practices, to maintain civil and Constitutional Rights. Stop the war against Americas families NOW! Injustice against one American is injustice against ALL Americans. Please sign my petition. Feel free to share your story. And by all means, please, spread it around…

  7. I am a single father of two boys and someone called cps on me. They came to my house and did their initial investigation. I didn’t realize what my rights were, so I let them in. CPS said they received a complaint that there was no heat in my house and I didn’t let them near windows and they weren’t in school. The heat was self explanatory, the intake worker commented on how warm my house was. The window issues is because I have two low lying windows that my boys try to hang from, I only keep them from those windows. And as for them not being in school my children aren’t even compulsory age, an I have decided to home school them. they had me sign papers giving them access to our medical records, before I signed they told me they could get a court order to get them. I must state they did not take my children they said it was a non founded report. The way they acted bothered me. So I educated myself quickly on my rights when dealing with cps. Where I live it was big news when a girl died in cps care, so they instituted a complaint procedure which I followed. I told the woman taking my complaint what rights were violated in detail I even included case law that supported my claim. I also gave them the provision numbers of the education laws that protected me. I contacted city counsel, they referred me to county counsel and they are looking into the matter. I also filed with the aclu. I am waiting to here back from them I’ve made appointments with my childrens pediatrician and have convinced her to do a home survey. I also have appointments with my childrens psychologists. The local media is investigating it for a story. I have also been keeping a log of all activity and correspondence with cps. I contacted all locale agencys that dealt with my family and all are mandatory reporters. They all have agreed 6 in total to write reports show that I am a fit parent. I told cps the only way they can enter my home is with a warrant absent my consent or exigent circumstances. I am also in the process of sending out flyers to people to complain about cps if they have violated their rights too. Do you think I should do anything else.

  8. So much for freedom in America! There is no freedom for children nor is there any for parents who fall in the traps of CPS. Three beautiful girls were taken out of the arms of a loving, caring mother I know. The father was on the road driving truck, working hard to support his family. That was 2 years ago, the parents have been put through the ringer, I mean the CPS system made them virtually penniless, homeless & hopeless. This is taking place in Fresno County, CA. The social workers lie, the therapists are biased, the foster parents are rolling high on the dole driving around in Mercedes bought & paid for by the money they get from taking care of these children and others, the judge in this case is spineless twit who gives an order one day and sets it aside the next week and there is no end in sight for these parents who love and wait for their children to come home someday…IT”S ALL ABOUT THE GREEN NOTE! not the children’s welfare…

  11. Hi, lets call me spade, My crappy older sister has 4 kids, cps came in and took all of them and put them into my mother’s care over a year ago. They sent a letter about 4 months ago saying that they were not to return to her because they found her unfit and she didn’t comply with what they put forth for her to do. Which is not my complaint at all cause those kids desesrve better my complaint is CPS told my parents this and then turned around and told them they could not help them anymore, they were to pay 5000.00 per child to get adopted in court to them. I guess I don’t understand why if parents or grandparents take care of the little ones that have been abused why they don’t get the same treatment as foster parents do. I understand what foster parents get because my best friend gets it for fostering, not all foster parents are just in it for the money, but they help her with care money, medicaid, if they adopt they get all expenses paid, and a college tuition for the child. What the hell, because people volunteer to help the babies in the family, they shouldn’t get the same treatment as taking the kids to someone they don’t know and put them in there. . CPS is a joke is what it has turned out to be, they treat inoccant families that don’t do anything like crap, but ignore situations for some that deam unfit….

  12. I have 3 children and I am due in a month. We have had problems with our 2 grader. We have tried to get her help. She told a long story to the principal and counselor to get out of trouble and the principal said she was very convinsing. Yet I am at the school all the time and have never had anything to hide. The principal called the police, who called CPS. The cops came and looked at my house and my 2 year old. The next day CPS showed up, and I have been in shock. CPS could not find anything, but wrote out a managment plan. She stated it was not legally binding, but at the bottom of the letter it states if I dont get my daughter into a pschatrist or help they can take my child. I want to get my daughter help, but I don’t like the way me and my husband are getting treated when we have done nothing wrong. What do I do next.

  13. Jennifer,
if you read this, contact me on myspace. I have an 11 year old very similar to your child. What I can tell you is be greatful they are only telling you to get her into a psychiatrist.

I can also tell you that for your families sake, I recommend the psychiatrist as well. But YOU pick the doctor. Do your research and then get a hold of me.

  14. I posted to change.gov, but I doubt it will ever be heard. There was a lot of people who wanted more adoption and foster assistance. Obviously they have never followed the money.

  15. I do agree change is needed. If you have changes in mind you should definitely write in the section that is available to us about changes needed in the child welfare system.
