Child Protective Services, CPS, has devastated and destroyed hundreds of thousands of families in America during the last thirty years leaving a trail of broken hearts, broken dreams, and shattered childhoods.

Rather than helping families, government agents have used unconstitutional laws in Juvenile Court to rip children away from their loving parents, break asunder God-given, natural, parent-child bonds, and adopt the children of the grieving out to others who profit financially with large monthly adoption subsidy payments.

Child Protective Services must be stopped! The law that started this, CAPTA, must be repealed. We must work tirelessly to inform the public of this very dangerous travesty of justice. We must keep faith knowing that if there is a God, there is an answer and a way to end this heartache.

Child Protective Services Agents - please come to your senses! Family destruction on false or trivial grounds is wrong, reprehensible, and inhumane.

Fosterers - be aware that for the money you get you are holding much-loved children away from their grieving families while the parents are forced to perform a service plan that is anything but a service to them. I call this hostage holding for the government. This is not kindness - to help misguided government agents destroy family relationships and break loving bonds.

CPS workers and fosterers - I ask that you now let the children of the innocent return to their homes where they are truly valued, adored, and loved by the parents God gave them.

Family rights are God-given rights. And they should not be ignored or postponed. Every moment these loving parents and children spend separated from one another is a torment beyond what anyone should ever have to bear.

It is unworthy of human dignity to allow this terrorism and torture of families to go on without saying something, speaking out, and trying to make a change.

  4. High point N.C My 5 children where taking from me because there step father was accused of sexually abusing them. It has been three months and i am not alloud to see them still one of my children came foward and said that the story he told was a lie, but they didnt care they still wont let me see my kids. Now they have my 10 year old daughter on adhd medicine and my 8 year old daughter on depression medicine. please help.

  5. I have no defense attorney but it may be too late or not. I will NEVER give up and the foster parents will NOT adopt my granddaughter because she is going to be with me! I love her and want to take care of her and not abandon her as her parents have. Regardless of the way they had to do it.

  8. I need an attorney to represent me in a federal civil rights law suit.

    The CPS Investigator aided and abetted in the kidnapping and child abduction of my 16 y/o daaughter by my ex-husband.

    After the scheme was discovered and medical showed my child had NO injuries past or present, my child was illegally transferred out of school by a third party the school new was not my child’s parent or legal guardian.

    Then the new claim was my child ran away and after she was in Texas, the CPS Investigator made a false finding against me with NO evidence.

    There was NEVER a court proceeding brought against me during this entire nightmare.

    This caused my child NOT to graduate from high school.

    After not being able to pay or get an attorney to take my case (too many City of Chicago Officials involved), I filed a law suit in Federal Court, but it was denied, I did not prepare the documents correctly.

    The Federal Judge stated I did not state a claim, which was bull, I stated numerous claims and proved the whole kidnapping scheme, which was my ex-husband way of using the cps system to evade and stop me from collecting on the $24,000.00 plus back child support I am still owed by him.

    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I am determined to re-file my case back in Federal Court, the UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT- NORTHERN DISTRICT OF ILLINOIS - EASTERN DIVISON.

    I have NOT seen my child since Friday, February 16, 2007, Domestice Relation Court on a Civil Writ Court Order for her immediate return and for the arrest of her father on state parental abduction and federal parental kidnapping charges and then they were gone.

My husband and I are looking for a lawyer in Virginia who would be willing to take a CLASS ACTION lawsuit against Arlington County CPS on behalf of at least four families who have had their children abducted from them by Arlington CPS on false accusations. None of us have much money, so we would like to find someone with a group such as the VA chapter of the ACLU that would be willing to do it pro bono.

  12. I am in desperate need of an attorney! I have went to see a attorney (free consultation) and at that time he named off just 5 of my rights not just as a parent but as a human that cps has violated along with the judge.This has been going on now for over a yr. I dont have a open CPS case but because my son does not want to follow mine and my husbands rules he kept makeing false alligations all of which have been unfounded by CPS. My 15 yr old is running our life as well as my other 3 children! I am willing to do what ever it takes to get vindication from CPS and the state who both have violated my rights!!! Please help!!!!

  13. And because my son knew he was gonna be grounded ( no tv, video games , ect) he refuses to come home nor is cps making him even tho they have no case!!! Mind you i still have my three other children at home. Whats wrong with this picture!!! There was a recent court hearing CPS never notified me served me nothing! I am desperate to get them out of mine and my families lifes once and for all!!   14. I have a set of twins, who were taken away, as they snuck out of my house and went to the park in the middle of the night, ever since then it has been hell for me. I need help on getting them back. My court appointed lawyer did nothing for me other than help keep my kids away from me, and i have no idea what to do, please help me.

  15. California CPS took our child due to a bruise on her face. They alleged that one of the parents(me or my husband beat her) Neither of us did though. They took her to some “shi shi” hospital that said it was a hand print….after 6 months of asking that the pictures be rechecked and they ignored it…..they are saying we are serious offenders. Now that I ask again they said….”Sorry I think it is too late to review this subject.” I think they are so full of themselves but we have tried al the classes and what not!To make matters worse we were in the middle of wanting to move cross country and had no place to go…..we got court approved to do so. We moved to North Carolina under the notion that they were going to have her transferred out here in 1 month! Its 4 months later and we are just now getting signs that she will be fostered out here! They keep saying things that seems so far fetched. Now I am due with my second child in North Carolina any day now and CA is pushing for Carolina to take him…..what do we do? Please someone, I know Ca is not doing whats honest! . Neither of us hit her……we fought and fought and they said I was a chronic liar or something……..The court appointed lawyers cant seem to even return a call!!!! Any opinions or people that have dealt with this. We need any help! The police report was filed incorrectly from the beginning making it very difficult…..no one seems to want to help. We need NC lawyers and Ca lawyers

  16. I think we have a problem here. Our state legal system is totally screwed up. My sister-in-law, Vicky, has had her kids taken away. Two girls have been almost “adopted out” to a gay couple. Oh and by the way, this is out in California, I forgot to mention that and I know that’s relevant, too. The point is, Los Angeles County won’t help her out and when she last went to court, CPS says they will not give her back her kids. One social worker went as far as to say Vicky “won’t ever see her kids again.”

  19. My wife and I were granted kinship custody of my niece and nephew from OKLA and have had them for over a year. We were licensed in IL and moved to IN so that out new kids could be closer to thier 2 siblings who are under the care of my other sister. Shortly after moving in our new home we were told by Indiana DCS that there was a “substantiated ” abuse allegation on me and we had to immediately send the kids to my sisters home as an emergency safety placement. The report and investigation state that in 2000 my alleged daughter and her mother stated that I molested her in 1997 and that she put me out of our home and so on. I explained that not only was this not true but that she is not my daughter and that we never lived together or had a relationship. The home that I was “put out of” belongs to her ex husband (who lives there with his new wife) A paternity test would prove i am not her father. I have signed letter from the ex husband stating this fact and other things. please help me get my kids back. lost in IN

  20. My dear friedn has been fighting for almost two years to get her son back. She was wrongly accused by a vindictive abusive ex that she was exposing her son to domestic violence in her home and not providing a safe place for him. She was investigated by CPS and the charges were unfounded but the courts still refused to return her son. He is 7 years old and cries every week that he wants to come home, he misses his mother and his sister - who still ives in the home. She was never allowed to provide any witnessess on her behalf to the court nor did she ever have her say. This is taking place in Greene county New York and this is not the first incident similar to this. Ironically this woman is a former foster parent and day care provider as was I and we have seen prostitutes and drug addicts get their children back and still not have a decent life! This is unjust and there is a growing number of us in the area who feel the county or someone in it is very corrupt. We have documentation to back these allegations, there are at least 6 families who i know would be willing to band together and take action if we could get proper representation from outside our county. In my friends case there is no reason she should not have her son. Since he has been living with his biological father - who is an active alcoholic with a criminal past who abused her in their relationship - the child has gained about 30-40 pounds and has had to have sevral teeth pulled due to decay. He gets no exercise and has a poor diet, in addition his father fills his head full of negative things about his mother. I know of others - me included - who have had adopted, foster or bio chidren removed based on false reports and unfounded allegations. Is there someone who can contuct me or we can contact to try to do something about this worsening situation? PLEASE!

    We are in the Randall County. CPS came took my grandson. My daughters ex-boyfriend was watching my grandsons. CPS called my daughter at work saying that she needs to come and pick the boys up from the house before they go with CPS. When we showed up to pick the kids up they arrested my daughter. I went to get the youngest boy (the oldest went to his dad) and they would not release him to me. It took them 3 weeks to get back to me about my home study. My daughter has passed her drug screen but CPS is saying that both her kids FAILED. How is it possiable that she passed but her kids did not? CPS was also saying the the kids also had head lice but they are around my daughter and their cousin all the time and they don’t have it. They were saying that the boys were at that house for 3 days straight which isn’t true. The oldest child stays at his dads on the weekends and the youngest boy stayed the night here with me 2 of the nights prior to the arrest. When had tryed to contact her case worker once they took the children. They never return my calls and they seldem return my daughters calls. My daughter is willing to go to the classes but we can’t get CPS to tell us when the classes are. They say that they are willing to keep families together but my youngest daughter (age 3) and my grand-daughter (age 2) ask when they can see the boys. You can see in their eyes that its breaking their heart not being able to play with them. We have tried everything we can think of. We even tryed to talk to the district office but they won’t return our calls either. CPS just isn’t working with us to get the kids back. WE NEED HELP!!!!! This is our last hope.lll

I am 21 years old i have a 11 month baby. and as crazy as this sounds i live at home with my parents i am trying to move out and do things on my own and they are threating me to call CPS and take away my child. they want to use everything from my past to keep my baby as theirs. I need help n anyway possiable.I cant live with out my son! am just making enough money to live I work 8 hrs a day @ 10$ an hr. and i have many bills.   24. I am a 26 yr old mother of four children. We live in Indiana and In the past two years I have been “investigated” by CPS about twelve times. The first week of December they were back. The left my home “with serious”concern. The basis of the report was that my two older children were not getting medical or dental care. My local school called. I at the time had waited for medicaid insurance and waiting for a dentist to take them. I got them in to a dentist shortly after my investigation by CPS. Almost a moth goes by and now Cps has contacted me and said that I am substantiated for medical neglect, Environmental life/health endangerment. and poor hygiene. I meet with the sup. at Cps yesterday and explained with documentation to back me that the dental issue was being fixed. The children are going to the dentist. I also explained that my home “inside the report” was listed as clean yet, I’m being charged with life endangerment, not to mention that on pg. 1 it states neglect on poor hygiene, on the second page it states that it is unsubstantiated, and in the written report there is no mention that hygiene was a concern. I need legal council because if I don’t stand up against these people I believe that they are going to finally take my kids. Over dental work. I am completely amazed that we the people of the United States actually give CPS workers this much power that they are clearly abusing. If anyone can help please email me.

  27. As grandmother I fought for three years to get guardianship of my granddaughter. My daughter was a substance abuser and arrested many times. My granddaughter and older grandson were put in foster care 3 years ago. THe foster care parents accused the grandson of sexual abuse to his sister. He was removed from that foster home and put in another facility. Grandson is not supposed to see his sister until all therapy is concluded. I let this grandson visit my home for three days while I had my granddaughter in my home. After the hell my granddaughter and I have been through to finally get together, the CPS is saying they will take her away because I am not “protecting” her. Nothing could be further from the truth. CPS has turned a blind eye to all of the problems my daughter had which caused the children to be taken away. My granddaughter believes I will be here for her forever. She is finally stable, has a beautiful home, and a grandmother who is a teacher. My granddaughter tells me many times daily how much she loves me and I am the best grandmother in the world. No matter what I have done for my family over the past years (working with CPS), they now what to take my granddaughter away because I allowed her brother to visit during Christmas. It is ironic that during a 9 month period when my daughter had unsupervised visitation with her daughter that she was arrested and I had to come to the jail to pick her up. CPS did nothing! Why wasn’t she taken away. CPS seems to pick and choose. Also, and please believe me, we have a power-hungry, wicked witch for a social worker. Time and again I have not understood her decisions. There does not seem to be any kindness for the family, or concern for the emotional pain that will caused to my granddaughter if she is taken from me. As a very small child,she was put in a terrible foster home. She still retells stories that make me cry. Could you please help me keep my granddaughter?   28. My fiance recently won a child custody case due to the fact the childrens mother tried to commit suicide. After a month of her being released from the hospital she has only had visitation. Due to the holidays she was able to keep the children overnight (court approved). Since she had them overnight on Jan 1 she contacted Cps saying that the father was Physically abusing the oldest. The same CPS worker that requested for the children not to be returned to their mother has now removed them from our custody. She has requested them to be with their mentally unstable mother with the restriction that the paternal grandfather must be in constant supervision of the children. They have come to home and interviewed my children as I have 3 from a previous relationship. Myself and my fiance have expressed our concern that his children are in eminent danger with their mother. The CPS worker agrees but insists it is safe due to the fact that the paternal grandfather is present. Even after interviewing my children, who told her that there was no beating of the oldest child, like their mother claims. We need help, we dont know where to go from here, we are very worried about what kind of emotionally abuse the children are being subjected to in their mothers care. The only thing the CPS worker has said is my fiance is to have no contact with the children, which he has done. Their mother filed a restraining order as of Jan 7, 2009. Over a week of the alleged abuse. If there is a lawyer willing to help we would be greatly appreciative. We are located in San Diego CA

  29. HELP these people are scary! Not only has my case worker misquoted me and my anger management teacher but also verbally assaulted my 79 year old grandmother. adding to that I’ve try 5 to 7 times to respectfully correct a misunderstanding only to have my attempt scoffed at and my statement never entered in any records. the power she has over me and my son, Aeryk being together again is very frightening in view of her actions. I haven’t been heard. All I seem to be able to do is deny her allegations, However, That makes me look like a crazy person who will not take responsibility for his actions. I can’t win for losing here! I have a moral issue with lieing on the stand to placate this woman. I am losing my mind with out my son and having this worker directly in my way even completing (the list)

    I’m a very forthright and honest person and the only friends I want or need will take me for who I am. I don’t have it in me to pretend to be some one I’M NOT for this person because I’m not a lier, and my son Aeryk deserves a father with solid moral convictions.

  31. In addition. although I have upheld all of my court appointed obligations i have been denied visitation by my mother, and her new best friend Any Leigh (CPS worker in Palmdale,CA). Ms. Leigh has spent the last two months repressing my Grandmothers life scan, and the day before court, tells my grandmother she has been denied as a monitor because of a DUI she had ten years ago and a speeding tick from when she was 19 years old (currently 79years old). I know Ms. Leigh is playing a game with the facts and trying to paint a picture of me as a unfit parent. and anyone trying to help me is worse than me. I’ve made some poor choices in my past and some things i believe in are currently unvalued by most people, but I still think taking a child from loving parents is morally wrong, a disregard of the U.S. Constitution, and a “hand in the face” to the U.S. Supreme Court.

  34. I have two daughters. My oldest is four and my youngest is two. I live close to Waco, Texas. My daughters were taken from me because thier father was beating me. We are no longer together, and havent been in months. He has two felony assult charges he has not gone to trial for yet. The girls were placed with his sister, and she has been letting the girls live with him, and keeping them from me. I told CPS what was going on, but the said I was a liar. My case has been open since June. I have done everything they have asked, but at every meeting they ask for more. Some things I cant give. Like money. I love my girls, I never deserved to lose them. This time she was alone and sacred again with poor representation. If we could get this to Wisconsin where they were all residents none of this would be happening. Because of the illegal horrors they have done we cant even get them to comply with interstate compact and Judges are included in the illegal endeavors of this case.

  38. I am looking for a qualified, experienced lawyer in the Jacksonville, FL area, to represent my son & his wife in court against CPS. He is active military, and CPS removed their 3 month old infant right out of the hospital, (he has severe acid reflux)and gave him immediatly to a foster family 2 days before Christmas. Their court appointed attorneys are doing nothing to help. The only lawyer we were able to find in this area, wants an enormous retainer that we can not afford. My son & his wife are 100% innocent of all charges, and this can all be proven. The next court date is Jan. 20, and hoping for placement back in the home, but I don’t believe this will happen. We need our sick baby home where he belongs, so that he can be properly taken care of. All the grandparents reside in NY state, so this has been difficult trying to help down in Florida.   42. I will probably end up representing myself because the legal aid in my area isn’t taking any custody cases. I’m in desperate need of an attorney. CPS kept receiving calls about me, most were unfounded until one that came in a couple of days after my house was broken into saying that I was taking drugs. I voluntarily took a test and it was positive! Methamph. showed up. I take adderall, a similar substance, but not the same. The calls started coming in 1 mo. after I told the father about his son. He stepped forward & took custody despite his drug test which he failed for meth, marijuana, and oxycontin. He was never retested before he was given custody. The positive test was 1 year ago and he never completed treatment. CPS is treating me unfair, please help.

  43. I live in Ocala Florida, Marion County. I have a case out of Dixie County. There is so much that I could say.. wow. I have 1000 pages of lies, discrepancies, over and over and over. The caseworker who took my children in February of 2008 was taken off of my case because of harassment. She was even moved to another county (or so they told me, I haven’t seen her since they removed her) I got a new caseworker, but she picked up right where the other one left off. I don’t care where the attorney is from, as long as they have jurisdiction in Florida. I will drive any distance for my children. I was forced to sign my rights away promised that they would get out of the system and that I would be able to get them back this year. They told me that if I don’t do this, I will never see my children again, and I will go to jail. I did this. They now tell me that they will not investigate any of mine or my husband’s family. My husband is still fighting, he has a TPR hearing January 16th 2009. They are trying to give him the same bargain. They told us that if we ever want to have children again and we don’t sign our kids over, that they will take any other kids that we have. They told us that they are going to get our kids, and we can’t stop them. My public pretender acts like she is on my side, but yet on recesses, laughs and jokes with them. My husband’s attorney will not accept any calls, or call back. He only sees him when we are at court, and he told my husband, quote, “YOU DON’T HAVE A SNOWBALL CHANCE IN HELL TO GET YOUR KIDS BACK MR. DAVIDSON” He told my husband that he is against him, and he has things against him on his computer. This has been a year!!!! His attorney claims he is sick with a heart failure. There are only 3 attorney’s in Dixie County and he can’t have mine, because of conflict of interest, and the other attorney is all booked up. How are we suppose to be defended when our own attorney’s are against us??? I will pay money. I work. I will come up with anything money you need.   47. Hi I’m in Cuyahoga County OH. My husband & I have/still been victims of CPS! My inlaws kidnapped our daughter when she was 4 she is now 11 & wants to come home. We are doing the motions on our own, but need someone who knows how to fight the system to just stand up for us. We are also going for my 2 minor daughters that were taken the same way. CPS used my other 4 children against us when they (in-laws) called and said we have her. They didn’t hesitate to give her to them without an investigation into our home. We now have to fight and prove all over again, that we aren’t these monsters that CPS & my in-laws (and ex in-laws) have made us out to be. the mag. for my 16yr.old daughter, turned down the recommendations of her PO, the PO that stood in for him at court, and their supervisor to place her back in my home til an investigation could be done on the alleged paternal aunt. Reading a paper on his desk he said NO the aunt hasn’t been proving neglectful or abusive. Please we are on a fixed low income, I do have the use of a lawyer, but he is the same one I had appointed to me when CPS started this with our 11yr. 7yrs ago. There he did nothing. I didn’t know where else to turn so I turned to him. Please if anyone can help would be greatly apperciated.

I was just contacted today 1/12 by Alameda County CPS and told I have a court date on 1/14 at 130 pm. to see if they are going to take my son away from my wife and I for “evidence of Mental abuse” on our son. Now i know my wife can be a little wordy when she gets mad at the child for doing something he should not have, but I am always there as the buffer. My son is eight and can be a handful sometimes. but this is not right to tell me all this with barely 24 hours till the court date. Now I have to take a day off that I know my boss is going to probably fire me over for the last minute request(had a guy lose his job over something similar), not to mention the loss of pay for the day that really gonna hurt my already tight budget. Is there any lawyer in the area that could take the case on such short notice. I dont trust public defenders and especially one appointed by the courts, of which I was told if I dont have one they will get me one just before court starts. I know I will end up in jail if they try to take him from us, because I wont let them take him. no matter what. Any free help or very very very low cost in needed.

Well i have a situation with fostercare providers,cps,and Grandrapids courts and my story is sometime in Febuary of 2008 cps went in and took my kids from my wife and put them in foster care and told me if i wanted them back i would have to go to parenting class sex abuse class na class 5-times a week come back and forth to Grandrapids to see my kids once a week or move to Grandrapids and be homeless and look for a job while they have me running all around doing what ever it is they want me to do to prove that i can act right with my kids and they was’nt even living with me at the time they took them I have’nt stayed with them in Grandrapids for a while if they took them from my wife then when they caught up with me they should have givin me my kids and let me raise them thats what I think i havent done anything to have them ssending me through the rings of thier sytem for what more money that i have to pay while I try to keep a steady income in this jobless economy yes I can take care of my kids but I cant take care of the system and my kids at the sametime whats really wrong with the courts these days do they really feel it is right for them to keep kids a way from the true people that love them their familys they would rather waste the tax payers money by paying for my kids to stay with strangers than to give them back to me !!!!!!!!!!!     To answer your questions, yes. The reason why my one caseworker was removed off of the list is because an advocate on line had informed me to type up everything that is said, and not to give interviews on the phone. She told me that I needed to request them in writing. I began doing this. She then told me to mail a copy to my caseworker and her supervisor stating that if she has any discrepancies about the facts of this letter, she has 10 days to dispute it with me. Once she received 4 letters in a row of her telling me all of this stuff, she was immediately removed off of my case. Right now, we are waiting for the letter to my husband’s caseworker, because we recorded her conversation. In the state of Florida, that will never hold up in court because Florida is a 2 party state, so we typed up every word and mailed it off certified. She has only 2 more days to reply. Then I will have more proof. She also told my husband in this phone conversation that he needs to go to her psychiatrists, not his own that he has already gone to, and told that there is nothing wrong with him, because she needs to speak with the psychiatrist first and tell the psychiatrist what referrals he needs. Isn’t it suppose to be up to the psychiatrist to figure that out??? I am sorry that I am so wordy, I just feel like I am at the end of my rope. When I told my public pretender that I was doing this, she told me that I need to be careful, because I am going to anger them. Everyone acts like these people are pit bulls, and we need to be scared of them. My children life and welfare is at stake, and if I don’t stand up and help them who will???

  53. My 3 children were taken by DCFS for a dirty home. My court appointed attorney fought hard for me for TWO YEARS. In the end, I had to sign over rights the DAY they took me to court because I heard the case worker talking to someone else around the corner and I heard her say as soon as they terminated rights she was picking up my other two children and taking them too. And if they had terminated my rights, they could have. With no warning. My Ex husband had joint custody at the time the 3 kids were taken (Of the oldest two) they didn’t even notify him until MONTHS later. ANd he wasn’t involved until 6 months later because they wouldn’t let him be for no reason. He’s in the Military. He is still fighting for the kids but doesn’t have a good attorney. Xavier, my youngest…is gone. What is worse, and why I NEED AN ATTORNEY is because this DCFS case worker threatened my youngest son’s baby sitter with: “If you don’t get custody of the child when you have him, I will take the child” and the baby sitter went to court, made up a bunch of BS… and the Judge let her keep my son in temporary guardianship because of what the DCFS worker told him. (That I was a bad mother and lost my other children) Someone, I beg of you please help me. I can not get a lawyer. Public aid has refused me FOUR times and wont hear another application from me. They say they fear the ‘allegations made against me may be true.’ Someone, please help. I have NO drug use, no criminal background, I don’t even have a speeding ticket :( Please..help

  59. I am 21 years old i just had my first child on december 22nd 2007 he was 6 mo old when he was taken from me, he is now 1. CPS can still come up with no reason that they have taken him, The main reason was one night the cops showed up at my house saying that someone there called 911 i had told him that nobody had called 911 the cop was rude trying to push his way through my door I told him that he needed to leave and he could come inside if he got a warrant, 20 min later the cop was still outside yelling that he needed to come inside all the neighbors are watching now and 4 more cop cars show up I went outside and talked to them and while i was standing outside the kicked in my front door they placed my child with my mother for the night and took me to jail for Attempted resisting and obstructing, I have no criminal background when i got out of jail the next morning i picked up my child and went home a week later cps took my child out of daycare and said that i was a unfit mother due to my lack of compliance with law enforcement, the charges for the resisting and obstructing had been thrown out of court and my child was still taken and is still not home. I am never getting any answers I have done everything that they have asked of me and I still had only 2 hours a week with my son supervised.

  60. A false allegation of marijuana use was made against me. A worker came to my home and demanded that I talk with her. This after she went to my chldrens; school and spoke with them without me present. I tested negative of all drugs screened in an onsite urinalysis. I informed them of my childrens’ father’s relapse, where I had removed him temporarily from the home. I have been forthcoming and cooperative with the department, and so has the childrens’ father. I was informed upon meeting the new on- going worker that despite the c.p.s. reccomendation of no adjudication services she would subsequently be pursuing a C.I.N.A. petition. I would like my childrens’ father to return ho,e as we have 3 children and a daughter on the way, i was informed if he is in the home my children would be removed from my custody despite no wrong doing on my part. I feel that the social worker (who is new - ours is one of her first cases) jumped the gun on these allegations. She told me first that the allegations had inconsistencies in it and in front of her superviser 2 weeks later she stated that the allegations we VERY consistent. I have written all of this down.   62. I need a CPS defense attorney in Indiana. My son had red spots and red blotches with swelling on his ankles and hands on Saturday and Sunday. He had no fever, but was lethargic and didn’t want to walk because his joints were swollen and hurt. I searched online and found that he may have Chicken Pox or HPS(Purpurra). I took him to RediMed on Monday after some of the red spots and blotches appeared on his face. The RN, PA and DR examined my son and ruled out Chicken Pox. The DR said it HPS and that at his young age he wanted me to take him to the ER for tests and fluids. I took him and read up on HPS first and found that only 1% of HPS sufferers have renal failure and to watch for blood in his urine. The symptoms last for 4 weeks and then spontaneously resolves. So I decided to keep him home and moniter him on my day off. RediMed called the Police and the Police called CPS. I need help.

  63. I need a lawyer’s advice, I signed over guardianship of two of my children to my ex-inlaws. When we went to court to try to get back custody or better visitation, the report was full of lies from either the guardians or the social worker, i believe both. I have plenty of witnesses to prove the lies. Should I go back to court and prove the lies to the judge, since he reduced my visits based on lies?     My name is Lydia. I relocated to the Casper area back in July. I am a single mother of 2 daughters. One is currently in the US Army Reserves.

    The story below I wish I could say was the result of some talented soap opera writer. Unfortunately it is the current state of my affairs. Honestly, if someone came up to me with this story I would ask them if they had been drinking…lol.

    I arrived in Casper on July 15, 2008 with my younges daughter as well as 2 of our pets to the residence we were to share with my fiancé of 4 years. I stayed to help set up the residence as well as spend some time with my fiancé (as he had been here since April 2008) and help my daughter adjust & get her enrolled in school.

    July 18, 2008 I returned to Florida alone to retrieve the rest of our belongings as well as my mother and to finalize the rent contract on our Florida home. I arrived in Florida on Sunday July 21, 2008. On Tuesday July 22, the potential renter backed out. I was originally to leave on Wednesday July 23 to return to Casper. Wednesday July 23, I placed our Florida home on the selling market with a local realtor, thus delaying my return to Casper. On Friday July 25, 2008, I was in the process of loading my vehicle when I received a visit from the parents of a friend of my daughter’s who proceed to tell me that she has accused my fiancé of touching her inappropriately. I took steps to ensure her safety until I could arrive in Casper.

    Later that afternoon, I received a phone call from Inspector saying he had received a call regarding the complaint and wanted to take her to the CAPS center for further questioning. The way he explained it to me not only did I not have a choice in letting her go, but he stated that I would be able to get her back once I arrived in Casper.
    I arrived back in Casper on Sunday July 27. Monday July 28 there was a “shelter” hearing. I did not get my daughter back. My daughter was placed directly into foster care on July 25, with a couple one of whom is a Natrona County Sherriff.

    This couple has 6 other children/foster children (they have adopted over the years). They had another child which when they got my daughter they sent to the foster mother’s sister to be taken in/adopted. Most of their other children are special needs children (Autism, ADHD, Meningitis, etc). My daughter is not. She is just a number to them. To date, I have NOT been able to obtain any legal representation (because I am not being charged with anything). Remember that - it is key - I am NOT being charged or investigated. As a result my fiancé was arrested and I as well as my mother lost the housing we were to have (the residence was provided by my fiancés employer, when he was arrested we were literally thrown out).

    I have gone long periods of time without a visit with my daughter (at one point 1 month - when I finally saw her after that 1 month - she showed up to the visit with 7 stitches in her forehead and some lame excuse about hitting her head on a chair) and when I do have them they must be supervised. The Judge has ordered 3 visits per week. To date I have yet to have those 3 visits per week and no one has been held accountable for disobeying the Judge’s order.

    Please do not misunderstand me; this letter is NOT about guilt or innocence. That should and will be determined by a court. This letter is about me, as a parent, NOT CHARGED with ANY crime, not only being treated as a criminal, but being alienated from my daughter. My visits are supervised, restricted, and my conversations with my daughter are not free. Don’t get me wrong I understand I am not allowed to discuss the case with her. It’s not that. My daughter is literally being alienated from me. She doesn’t even acknowledge my mother (her grandmother).

    Then there is DFS. The caseworker that has been assigned to my case is a joke. IF I can get her to return a phone call it’s a miracle. More than once I have had to not only go to her supervisor, but to her supervisor’s supervisor simply to get her to return a phone call. Then there are the times when I can’t even leave her a message because her mailbox is full. This woman is treating my daughter like just another number, just like she is treated in the foster home. Whenever I point this out the DFS worker simply rolls her eyes and huffs and puffs.

    And let us not forget how much trouble I get into when I write “notes” on Facebook. The notes are Facebooks version of a blog. That was actually another one of the reasons the GAL filed to suspend my visits. Now mind you, in the “note” just like here, there are no mention of any names, heck there isn’t even the mention of an agency. Yet I still got my hand smacked. Which when this one is found I am sure I will get my hand smacked again. Once again, people who don’t know us, me or my family, are going to make judgements about us. I have ALWAYS written. Admittedly not always in such a public forum, but I have always written. It is a release for me. I have to get my frustrations and hurt out someway. Specially since I don’t have the government paying for a shrink for me to see.

    If and when I am allowed to visit with her, when I ask questions about her schooling or swim team activities I am accused of putting her under stress and being demeaning to her. When I found out she had a boyfriend, a fact which her Guardian Ad Litem as well as DFS did NOT know, I was supposed to be ok with the fact she was going out alone with this boy, unsupervised in his personal vehicle. A rule which was always strictly enforced in our home.

    No one within “the system” has seen the real side of my daughter simply for the fact that she does not have to live by any “rules”. She is not being put under any stress or being told no. I am the one who gets in trouble for trying to tell them about the real her and I am the one who gets into trouble whenever I try to bring up “reality” in front of her. I am repeatedly told I should be happy that I get to see her at all and I should be ok with the fact I lost my housing and have spent the last 4 months paying $1600 a month for a flea bag motel room when I DIDN’T DO ANYTHING WRONG - I AM NOT CHARGED WITH ANYTHING, I am not even being investigated!!!!!!!!

    In addition, my daughter’s GAL (Guardian ad Litem) has filed a motion with the court to suspend my visitation until some of the points of the Family Plan have been completed (such as a psychological profile of myself, anger management classes (because I am not supposed to be angry - I am supposed to be happy), parenting classes, etc). When I questioned why the motion to suspend my visits that is what I was told. My response was, why am I being punished and I was informed because I have failed to even begin any of those items. I said I was not aware I was supposed to be doing anything, I thought you had people you contracted with and they would be contacting ME. So now I don’t even get the 1 visit per week with my daughter because of something I didn’t even know.

    I have contacted, over time of course, all the agencies that I have been told to contact for help (Interfaith, Casper Housing, etc.) to no avail. As for legal help, I have asked the court for a court appointed lawyer (denied because I am not being charged with anything) (which now finally after 5 months I am FINALLY getting), local area attorneys (who say they can’t help and if they are willing they want HUGE retainers up front). I have contacted the ACLU and couldn’t even get them to talk to me. Well they did talk to me long enough to say they wouldn’t handle something like that but they would look into it, they would send me a release of information form to fill out (I have never received).

    I honestly feel as though my civil rights have been trampled on in this case as well as my parental rights. I don’t think what I am asking for is too much and that is to be treated with respect and acknowledgment that I AM STILL HER MOTHER. My bottom line concern is for her and in our present situation this is not being allowed to happen. All I want is to ensure she is cared for by someone who actually knows her. Not someone looking to make a buck off of her. Right now there are several monetarily interested parties involved in this mess. Getting federal monies for her to be in “protective custody” and believe me I use that term VERY loosely. DFS, the foster parents, her therapist. Surely I can not be so wrong in what I seek.

    Now don’t get me wrong. I have discovered over this last month, that I am not the only one this is happening to. Some how in some small way, I feel like if I am able to bring attention to this, that it will help people. While yes it will be nice to “right my wrong”, but it would be even better for this to not happen to ANYONE.

    Someone, anyone, please help me. The only way I have been able to “keep in touch” with my daughter (even though we don’t talk) is via her status updates on Facebook and Myspace, she hasn’t been online in over a week. I am EXTREMELY concerned for her safety. The web & her cell phone are like air to her. This is NOT normal for her to be offline this long. Again, someone PLEASE help me.

  68. My grand daughter was under a safety plan in my home, plan listed me and bio father because he is homeless, jobless and estranged from the child. The originated in Lubbock and the case worker neglected to transfer the case for weeks and weeks….the father took off with her and went to Lubbock, I reported his neglect and they let him stay there with strangers. The whole case started because my grand daughter was sexually assaulted in Lubbock, I was taking her to therapy and her Mom is in Rehab after having suffered a complete nervous breakdown. I need to file a Motion to Intervene as a Grandparent immediately to get her back home. I am the only security she has ever had in her life except for her Mom.

I have learned a lot with this web-site, but i don’t know how far they can go with this. They have already asked me to attend a confrence at their facility without legal representation. They also made an appointment at one of their medical facilities to have our kids checked, again without legal representation. When i’ve questioned their authority and/or expressed the interest in excercising my rights they have become enraged and even threathened me with going to court. I explained to the Child protection specialist that i had our own pediatrician examine our kids and asked him to make referrals if necessary. They consider that i am not complying. If their proceedures are legal and in the best interest of protecting my own kids. Then why was i denied my right to record our conversation? Why am i being denied my right to have an attorny present? Why is my pediatrician’s observation and/or knowledge of my kids health and/or well being for over 8 years not good enough for them?Why can’t he referr my kids to any special examination if any necessary? Why do they want me to commit to their parenting classes? I really need the proper advice, counsel and/or representation before they take it further. Please respond before it’s too late! They are in the mist of their so-called 60 day investigation. Please help my wife and i keep these people from breaking up a beautiful united family for no reason. PLEASE!

  80. please help! my husband and i have been fighting cps in ca. for 3 1/2 years. and now, we have to fight not only cps but my parents as well. turns out that they in the beginning acted like they were on our side. but, as time has progressed we have found out that they have been sabotaging us as well. with lies.
    Anyway, they are trying to terminate our rights. but, at the last court date my husband fired his court appointed lawyer. the judge post poned the case for 3 months in order for him to get a private attorney. so basically we need an attorney who will really, really fight for us. file a 388 on his behalf and if our rights are still being terminated go to the appellate court. .my husband and i have completed every class we were required to twice… but, everytime we are about to get them to close our case my parents seem to come up with allegations that are not true but because they have money and look good on paper, they are automatically telling the truth and we are lying. my son has never been abuse or neglected….and this is tearing him apart

  83. I am grateful to find this site. Myself my husband and my son have been in a battle for over a year now for my son to get his son. CPS in Washington state has used my sones age, back injurry and every imaginable thing to keep his son away from him. I applied for placement to help my son out and they are ignoring there very own WAC codes. They are violating my civill rights and my sons by usinf unfounded CPS reports against us both. My son has none I have some from angry family. today my son visited his boy., Jacob. Jacob threw a fit and did not want to leave his Dad. This about crushed my son. He has court appointed attorneys and they are fighting but are up against lying judges. I can prove this. And of course CPS.We need an attorney that can fight these people and quick before this causes more damage to my little grandson.

  84. We need a cps hating, fearless, good lawyer in the ark or mo area. My sisters kids; 15 year old boy, 10 year old boy, 9 year old boy(handicapped with mmr), 3 year old girl, 1 year old girl, were taken under false pretenses. DHS told her and the kids they would be returned in 72 hours if nothing is found on my brother where she was staying with her kids. They still have the kids, 3 1/2 weeks later. All 5 in separate homes except the 10 and 9 year old. Her husband said that he would get her kids taken if she ever left him. He was abusing her and even told her, which her 10 year old heard, that he was going to put her in her grave. He also broke a window and the screen door in the house, constantly throwing things in the house, hit my 9 year old nephew, locked her and her boys in the back room where they couldn’t leave. So she finally got tired of the abuse and left him and went to my brother’s house who has no criminal record, except misdemeanor hot checks. No felonies or sex offenses. Her husband found out where she was, made an allegation against me that I molested his 8 year old son, (which the DHS took his son first while he was at school), then talked to me on phone like we were brothers, and even invited me over to see his son, whom I supposedly molested, and allowed me to talk to his son on the phone whom was excited to talk to me. A father who’s child had been molested would not let his son talk to the abuser or visit with him. He lied about that to “get my 3 year old niece”, but not the 1 year old, who is both my sister’s and his daughter. Also to get my sister’s kids taken, which he threatened to do. anyway, looking for a lawyer, will scrape money together one way or another to pay. We have to get these kids back home where they belong before they get physically, sexually abused, or even killed. My 15 year old nephew was a selective mute who was coming out of it, and has now regressed. He don’t even go outside at the foster home except to go to school. He was taken out of his ROTC classes and put in a different school, in a different town. My 10 year old and 9 year old nephews are living with a cop(state, county, local-dont know, dont matter) who is mentally abusing the 9 year old. the 3 year old is crying at the end of the visits. Because she don’t understand why she can’t go home with mommy. These kids are being harmed being away from their mother. My sister is very protective of her kids and doesn’t bring them around anybody, she doesn’t trust. These kids were and well taken care of and were and are well loved with my sister.   88. I have 3 nieces that were taken from my sister several years ago. My sister complied with every thing that CPS wanted her to do to be able to get the kids back and they still took her rights away. They adopted the kids out to foster parents. I have recently obtained information that they have been sexually abused by there foster parents. One of my nieces reported this to her school and they are doing nothing about this. I need help finding out how to get an investigation started and the kids removed from the foster home. My oldest niece will be 18 in June and hopefully be willing to testify. When they were taken away from there mother CPS would not allow any of the family to see them. Not me the uncle or there aunts or even the grandmother. Which I thought the first option was to try and put them with other family first and CPS never gave that option. I dont know what to do I need someones help. Please help.

  89. I have the misfortune of living in St. Clair County, MI, were at least 2 children have died due to abuse by their parents. It is now CPS’s idea that all parents are abusers. On 1/28/09, my 6 year old son went off to school. No one in our household noticed anything of importance, but at 10:53 AM, a report was filed concerning a mark on his face. He was interviewed without any parental conscent and stated the mark is where I hit him, which is absolutely UNTRUE. My 13 year old son was pulled out of class and interrogated for an hour. Asked where my husband and I worked, if we did drugs, how often we drank, etc. without permission. He told her there was no abuse. I don’t believe she would ever had been able to talk to either at home without a warrant. I was informed last night that the CPS nazi had to speak to my husband and me and see our 1 year old daughter. She was supposed to be here at 4:45PM on 1/29/09, but showed up a little after 5 PM with a crony. They were both upset and surprised when I refused to let them in the house and made them stand on my front porch (It’s winter here and the temp is under 30 degrees. I also let them know the conversation was being video taped and they look at me like I was crazy. I refused to give them my daughter’s date of birth and denied I had hit my son. I was told since he said I did, I was a liar because six year old’s don’t lie and would never make anything up. (Since I have no record of the interrogation, I have no way of knowing if he actually said this or if she coerced him into saying it) She also said he had a cut inside his upper lip. Both my husband and I checked and can’t find it or any indication there every was one. Talk about a fast healer! I was told that if my son showed up at school with so much as a bruise, she would be back to take all three of my children since the investigation would remain open for another 30 days. Any ideas on what else can be done to protect my kids from these creatures? Both have been told to never again talk to someone from CPS with out a parent and a lawyer. The 13 year old gets it, but for the 6 year, I told him if a stranger tries to talk to him at school again all he is to say is “I want my mom and dad”. The CPS nazi also stated that since I wouldn’t allow her in the house I would also probably not ACCEPT their services. I agreed that is correct. What services could I possibly need from them? I’m asking others what I can expect next. I’m afraid to send my kids to school for fear they will be snatched by CPS. The schools obviously don’t care and would let them get taken without a warrant. What options do I have at this point? What should I do next? All I can think to do is take my son to his doctor and ask for his medical opinion. Is this a good idea or am I shooting myself in the foot? What if the doctor comes back and says yeah, it looks like you hit him! If I compare my hand with the mark on the left side of his face, I would have had to me facing him while on my knees and hit him with my hand cupped to even come close to where these marks are (To have been slapped in the face by my hand, there are mysteriously no marks that actually look like fingers). I cannot replicate in any way a scenario where my hand could have made those marks. Would the doctor back me up on this? The nail in my coffin is my oldest is from a previous relationship. Is paternal grandmother wanted her own visitation schedule through FOC. When it was denied, twice, she sent a picture of my oldest with what looked like a hand print on his cheek, which again wasn’t me. He had been hit by someone else that was then thrown out of my life and never spoken to again. The picture was over a year old at the time of the 1st CPS visit and the allegations were considered unfounded as he no longer has such a mark (go figure). I have been reported two other times, once more by crazy grandma and other by a teacher because oldest said he was pushed by my husband (That’s abuse!). Both were unfounded. I guess 10 years later they’ve decided to try and get me this time. How many abused children are being ignored while this crap plays out? I’m positive the person who reported this current allegation is the 6 year old’s teacher. This woman had him sent home from school because he had itchy mosquito bites. I was told to seek medical attention immediately. A little benadryl cream stopped the itching and they mysteriously healed on their own in a day or two. My final question, what can I do as a concerned citizen to help get rid of these ridiculous laws and the horrible CPS organization of child stealers? Why is this horrible act committed by a goverment agency never covered on 60 Minutes, Dateline, the Today show or Good Morning America?

    WAL-MART BABY’S GRANDMOTHER NEEDS HELP!!! PLEASE ANYONE

    Here is just a sample of what i need help with;

    I need help!!!! My daughter was just railroaded by a public defender to take a plea, the plea had a max of 10 years, at sentencing the public defender provided no evidence showing that the issue was not abuse but medical, and somehow he allowed the plea to be sentenced under the aggravated sentencing law? she was given 12 and a half years.
    Her lawyer told her with the medical evidence and other testimony she would likely get probation with possible a year in county jail.
    There are numerous contradictions in what the prosecution testified to and her lawyer did not even object. They claim this child was beaten to within an inch of his life and there was not an area of his body not covered in bruises.
    Due to a medical condition the child’s oxygen level was at 79 when he arrived at the hospital, so he was blue.
    This is something we had faced numerous times with his health and was expected with his health problems he has had 4 heart surgeries to correct it in his life, final one done after cps intervened.
    the doctors who did the first three surgeries advised the boy’s mother the fourth surgery needed to be done at 35-40 lbs as to be able to use an adult stint to finish it up and avoid further surgery later. the DA stated that the surgery should have been done a year ago…the boy is just now 37 lbs. her lawyer did not object.
    I had provided a picture of the boy with relatives one week after the supposed abuse, and miraculously this black and blue body had amazing healed evey bruise except of course the one he had fallen and gotten in September.
    I advised her lawyer that if indeed he was blue it would have gone away when the oxygen was replenished (which his body would have done after a rest, which is why she took him to wal-mart to get him to sit still and calm down) however, evidenced by the visible bruise on the forehead, his bruises don’t go away in 7 days. mine don’t go away in 7 days much less those on a boy with low oxygen in his blood.
    The public defender did not even enter the photo into evidence.

    This is just a tidbit of the inept council she had, I am looking for someone who can help me fix this or point me in the right direction . This is a gross miscarriage of justice and a three year old boy is payign the price for it.
    Please if you can help or know anyone else you think can let me know. she has 88 days left to fix this before its too late!
