Child Protective Services, CPS, has devastated and destroyed hundreds of thousands of families in America during the last thirty years leaving a trail of broken hearts, broken dreams, and shattered childhoods.
Rather than helping families, government agents have used unconstitutional laws in Juvenile Court to rip children away from their loving parents, break asunder God-given, natural, parent-child bonds, and adopt the children of the grieving out to others who profit financially with large monthly adoption subsidy payments.
Child Protective Services must be stopped! The law that started this, CAPTA, must be repealed. We must work tirelessly to inform the public of this very dangerous travesty of justice. We must keep faith knowing that if there is a God, there is an answer and a way to end this heartache.
Child Protective Services Agents - please come to your senses! Family destruction on false or trivial grounds is wrong, reprehensible, and inhumane.
Fosterers - be aware that for the money you get you are holding much-loved children away from their grieving families while the parents are forced to perform a service plan that is anything but a service to them. I call this hostage holding for the government. This is not kindness - to help misguided government agents destroy family relationships and break loving bonds.
CPS workers and fosterers - I ask that you now let the children of the innocent return to their homes where they are truly valued, adored, and loved by the parents God gave them.
Family rights are God-given rights. And they should not be ignored or postponed. Every moment these loving parents and children spend separated from one another is a torment beyond what anyone should ever have to bear.
It is unworthy of human dignity to allow this terrorism and torture of families to go on without saying something, speaking out, and trying to make a change.

Fighting Child Protective Services False Accusations

A hearing on December 18, 2008 informed Connecticut state legislators of DCF injustice and cruelty to families. One participant, an out-of-state aunt, told legislators that family members were denied kinship care rights because the court ruled they had no bond with the child, a girl now totally separated from her natural family. Many others came forward to tell legislators their stories of injustice, trauma and distress at the hands of DCF caseworkers.
According to the article written by Arielle Levin Becker, State Representative Toni Walker, a Democrat from New Haven, wept and said, “We as a state have failed miserably in this situation.” One hundred and thirty eight people signed up to testify at this hearing, the last hearing of four, and apparently the only hearing allowing the public to testify. People spoke out about rude DCF social workers and unjust family devastation practices.
The hearings were scheduled in response to the death of an infant in foster care last May.

Lots of scandals there. There are folks in CT who have been railing against DCF for around 10 years. Their activism has PAID OFF, FINALLY.

The world of foster care seen through the eyes of small kids has stayed unstated till now. My first daughter was born on April 16,2008 when I was 39. I myself am an .educated woman from a respectable family.As I was lying in the Manchester Hospital Maternity ward there preparing for labor hooked up to all, sorts of IV’s, a Manchester Hospital Maternity Ward social worker, who was hovering over my bedside, told me in a disgusted tone, “WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING HAVING A BABY ANYWAY!I” Having seemingly collaborated with the entire hospital and of course DCF that I suffer from Bipolar I disorder. For Christ’s Sakes Abraham Lincoln, one of our finest president shared the disorder!!!!!!!!!
This same social worker then called in a Manchester Hospital psychiatrist who decided it would be easiest to take my child if he forcibly locked me in the psych ward downstairs whereupon the residing psychiatrist was horrified at what had been done to me and voluntarily agreed to testify before a DCF trial on my behalf. I left in only two days.
Meanwhile I sat in my psych hospital room using a breast pump a “kindly” nurse had given me only to pour all the precious milk down the drain. Furthermore I still haven’t gotten my daughter back from DCF. This has been the worst atrocity I have ever had to endure. Hopefully by the grace of God, I will regain custody of her the summer of 2009.

I truley feel that DCF maybe good but not in all cases. I do belive that they do care about (some) cases, however others, I do feel that they are just out to steal kids! 4 real! I had DCF in my life for a very long time they took my kids away in the middle of the night questioned them and when they denied that any wrong doing had beeen done to them by my self or their father DCF said that the kids were just defending us.. BULLSH*T & THEY KNEW IT!
I wish the best of luck to all the family’s that are dealing with DCF’s pain stakeing trails, They Suck and abuse us as a people I was told by a worker that its her job to tear apart families just a small insight of what they say

I am currently looking for a DCF/CIVIL attorney to represent me and take my case to the Sumpreme court in Hartfort, CT. My child was taken from me at the age of two without any probable cause and custody was given to my child’s father, I was considered a flight risk because of my national orgin which is discrimation, my constitutional rights and parental rights was violated. There is numerous errors and false allegation of abuse/neglected listed in my case file, that was unfounded. since the removal of my child from my care he has suffered tremendiously by his father/girlfriend now wife, both mentally and physically. My child has been medically neglected on numerous occassion, abandon and my child’s father has failed to provide proper care for my child. I have spend numerous amount of money fighting to get my child back since October 2006. My case was one of the many case selected by the federal government to be review on October 18, 2008 in Hartford, CT. I did not attend because my DCF worker failed to give me any information pertaining to the date and time of review. I would like to find out about the Washinghton,DC. I have a problem with DCF .DCF has been in the picture for 19 years . they just don’t stop. the pick and pick .in connecticut the social workers and the superviors all lie .

in ct. dcf workers and supervisors lie… even the kids that was removed under suspicion of physical abuse attested to that statement.. his case worker has been lying to him. while in foster care, he was abused , and marks were left.The social worker had the audacity to say.” its a small scratch”. nothing to worry about.. we’re fumming.. he’s taken from his parents without any evidence of physical abuse yet he gets hurt while under their custudy, in the home of a licensed foster parent, and thats the respect he gets..?

dcf remove my girls 4 years ago and termineted my rights wthout my knowledge or sighnature. since then my girls have both been placed on medication and have attempted to kill themselfs, on a wednesdays child aiaring my state that she wished that her own mother would call in. I made my mistakes did my drugs, but today have been clean for two years and remarried but dcf wuldn’t even talk with me due to my past. I personaly think the workerhates me and wouldn’t give me the time of day, my daughter is 14 and I felel that she shold have the choice to decide on her life. anybody with hopes or suggestions please contact me at kdemarco2000 at yahoo.com I have it planned out that may 4, 2013 my jail sentence will be over and I have a right to see my child, I told the worker this and she said that she has no doubt they will come then to me, but why put them through the hell these years

I recently started a petition to make it mandatory the all DCF investigators record there interviews and all other conversations dealing with a case. My reason for this is because, all over the U.S. there are DCF investigators who do not trying to seek the truth. There is no official way to document the information acquired by these case workers other then what they “write down” which is not always the truth and is sometimes exaggerated in order to win. They have been under Federal oversight for 10 years?? I would hate to see them without it. They lie, lie, lie. Anthony Gay of Waterbury DCF told me my kids would go easy because they are white (he is black). It does not get more corrupt than that. How on earth do people like this sleep with themselves at night. They are truly demonic people trying to earn the state money. They are corrupt from the top down. My first-born daughter was cruelly taken from me at birth. The DCF social worker is heartless and inconsiderate. She has no kids herself. Why would the organization like that have the social workers that have no kids and any compassion or respect for the parents they deal with/
I wrothe the letter to DCF in Hartford, but i got no response.

My cousins wife is a DCF worker and I do not get along with her so I am wondering if I were ever to be put in the system can she access my personal info since we have the same last name.. or can she make life hell for me? I did have a bad experince w/ these people when I lived in CT 1st when I was in middle school my neighbor had called and made up lies the dcf didnt know who was telling the truth so they opened a case that was suposed to have been closed 3 months afterwards, now it has been over 10 years and during my pregnancy DCF was able to get involved do to my state insurance but they brought up the case that happened over 10 years ago..isnt that illegal or harassment? I no longer use state insurance because there are a lot of free things they forget to menchion like the extreamly high ratio of state workers being paid off on the tax payers $$ “Lets take everyones kids away because we get comission maybe even a christmas bonus” but you dont ever hear about a dcf workers kids in foster care, I think we all know why.

Jane, any information that is computerized would probably be at the fingertips of the DCF workers in your state. This is the first I’ve heard that CPS workers could get involved with a family just because the family is using state insurance.

Workers would love to have interviews taped & auto transcribed. We are parents to and we are not all bad just like all parents are not bad or abusers. I love the the people and kids I meet and help daily. I was a kid who needed cps there are kids and families that need help.

Its bad enough when you can’t protect yourself from dcf workers? But how about when your own lawyer does it, I had a court case pending and I did everything dcf wanted. But from the begining my lawyer or public defender, ignored all my phone calls, told me that she was sick of me that I should of retained a real lawyer. Eventually she got together with the baby’s lawyer and they, along with the dcf worker bullied, manipulated and tricked me into signing my rights away. What can I do? Its not fair!

Maryann… I don’t know what you can do at this point. If I were you, I’d be making appointments for free consultations with lawyers outside my county whose specialties are constitutional rights and/or legal malpractice.
I’m terribly sorry this happened to you! My website is geared to help mainly people whose cases are fairly new, but recently I read a comment from someone who said her children were away for six or seven years, and then she got them back, and that this site helped her, even after all that time! I think that’s highly unusual for a case to extend that long with a positive ending, but it was encouraging to read that comment! In most cases it is impossible to get a child back after a TPR hearing, but in this case you were tricked and coerced to sign papers, so maybe there’s hope, and you should keep trying.
You might want to register at our message board. There are some awesome advocates there who may be able to give you a variety of ideas on how to proceed. Have you tried rescinding your signature? You really need an attorney’s guidance, and if the first one doesn’t want to try, keep looking.

DCF in Connecticut has refused to help me protect my son from being sexualy abused by his father. After 7 months, I am still trying to get help. My son’s therapist and an ACS case worker in New York both interviewed my son and have tried to get help for me in the state I live in. My son has not been recorded or video taped. The judge has only been given a report stating unsubstainiated. The case worker never spoke to my son or the theapist, but could write a report claiming unsubstainiated. Please advise…Susan
