FightCPS does not advocate or condone violence or illiegal activities of any kind.
FightCPS is intended to help people learn enough about the law to be able to successfully defend themselves and their families against false accusations using legal documents and strategies that put parents in a stronger position when they go back to court.
For more information, see the FAQ.
Child Protective Services, CPS, has devastated and destroyed hundreds of thousands of families in America during the last thirty years leaving a trail of broken hearts, broken dreams, and shattered childhoods.
Rather than helping families, government agents have used unconstitutional laws in Juvenile Court to rip children away from their loving parents, break asunder God-given, natural, parent-child bonds, and adopt the children of the grieving out to others who profit financially with large monthly adoption subsidy payments.
Child Protective Services must be stopped! The law that started this, CAPTA, must be repealed. We must work tirelessly to inform the public of this very dangerous travesty of justice. We must keep faith knowing that if there is a God, there is an answer and a way to end this heartache.
Child Protective Services Agents - please come to your senses! Family destruction on false or trivial grounds is wrong, reprehensible, and inhumane.
Fosterers - be aware that for the money you get you are holding much-loved children away from their grieving families while the parents are forced to perform a service plan that is anything but a service to them. I call this hostage holding for the government. This is not kindness - to help misguided government agents destroy family relationships and break loving bonds.
CPS workers and fosterers - I ask that you now let the children of the innocent return to their homes where they are truly valued, adored, and loved by the parents God gave them.
Family rights are God-given rights. And they should not be ignored or postponed. Every moment these loving parents and children spend separated from one another is a torment beyond what anyone should ever have to bear.
It is unworthy of human dignity to allow this terrorism and torture of families to go on without saying something, speaking out, and trying to make a change.
Site mission: To provide information and support for families attacked by Child Protective Services and child welfare agents, especially those families facing false or trivial accusations of child abuse or neglect; and for researchers working to protect natural family rights.

Fighting Child Protective Services False Accusations

December 12, 2008
Washington grandparents Doug and AnneMarie Stuth have every right and reason to be caretakers of their three-year-old granddaughter, yet caseworkers at Child Protective Services are making up unreasonable justifications to keep the cute little blonde girl in foster care. They say the Stuth’s aren’t making an effort to support the child’s reunification with her teen mother, the Stuth’s daughter. Yet a KING5 news video report proves they have done everything in their power to help the mother have access to her child.
The Stuths made their case high-profile through going to their state legislators including Senator Pamela Roach, and to the news media. They are fighting the case in court. They are a good example for the many thousands of other grandparents who want custody of their grandchildren who have been placed in foster homes. The denial of kinship care rights to grandparents is one of the worst aspects of current child protective services corruption. CPS agencies want to adopt children out to strangers so they can qualify for federal subsidy bonuses.
Source: Investigators: Grandparents passed over in favor of foster care by Susannah Frame on December 11, 2008, for KING5 News. Be sure to read through all the related content on this article! This is a major exposé!
A word to CPS workers: The word is out… everyone knows how corrupt the CPS agencies are. Come out of your dark offices and admit to the world and to yourselves that you’ve done wrong. Good always triumphs over evil. The love of family overcomes the evil of family destruction. In time you will see this is true.

Yes, Washington State has violated kinship laws. I lost a niece and nephew to strangers! Also, thanks alot to CPS for destroying the economy. If you don’t know how just ask and think!

Also, boycott any business who supports the kidnapping of biological children from their biologica family
Comment by Gingerroot — December 13, 2008 @ 9:16 pm
Washington State has zero respect for biological families. This Christmas think about the biological families that have have been ripped apart and torn apart needlessly! Not one single ounce of decency in this state. If you have a “family member” at your table that is not yours biologically; please think about their biological family for once!!!

Washingtonians should contact KING TV station and click on the info.
One of the journalists is taken by the story.
Media exposure generally is a good thing if folks can meet in small groups with journalist or TV reporter, it’s even better.

There are some fine, caring, intelligent, people working on this case in Washington state. I have read the comments posted on King 5 and have read the blog by Senator Pam Roach . She is amazing as she has gone after CPS to produce 7000 e-mail with the freedom of information act. She has been there for that family and I believe if we support her efforts she will be there for the rest. CC Tillett and Jan Smith of Washington’s Extended Families are amazing with all the research they have done. Susannah Frame of King 5 has done a real report on a child that desperately needs help to get back with her family. It is like a light at the end of the tunnel is beginning to appear. Please take a minute and read and comment. They are making a difference I believe. King 5 may do another report on the child, due to a doctors report that is being released…stay tuned!

Things change and quickly when cps is involved..
It seems no matter what King 5 said or Senator Roach did it has failed. On Pam Roach’s blog it was reported that the case is going to termination
on Monday. They need a miracle. I am praying for them that they have one. They haven’t given up and it has attracted some very good people to the cause. I pray King 5 will now dig deeper into this evil that has been destroying the American family albeit low income families that struggle and can not afford the powerful attorney it takes to succeed. Please comment on the King 5 site to let them know that so many people are suffering at the hand of cps.

Thank you for your positive comments regarding WA state.
Let’s hope folks in WA sign onto the Message Forums here, and NETWORK TOGETHER.
Parents, kin— Alone you are DEAD MEAT TO CPS.
Only by joining together and acting as a group will you be a force to be HEARD.
Please Washingtonians contact Sen Pam Roach.
Remember Wenatchee !!
You must work together. If a few parents meet with KING 5, even better.
And grandparents, too. CPS shuffles even young kids to group homes in the EASTERN US.
In my professional capacity, teens have been desperate enough to tell me how distressed they were about not being placed with KIN.

All I can say is if you don’t fit the textbook, or the chart, or the graphs; unreal, unreal, unreal, unreal! You are taught about in college! They think they know how you are supposed to act, think and feel including your children. Your interactions! They study and chart them!

They need to make an android robot so these foster parents and social workers can be satisfied with what they are trying to accomplish with their power point, graphs and charts!

I am going through it also in NewYork but we live in Wisconsin who by all legal rights was the “home” state of the children upon removal . We have been unsuccessful in getting anyone to acknowledge it is in the U.S. CPS did an awesome job of stalling while offering hope. There time will come with all the recognition they are getting and it will be duly deserved.

If you live in Washington State; there is a television channel UWTV that is airing alot of shows about Court Improvement. CPS has a horrible reputation already. Alot of people already have horrible horrible dealings with CPS. Even if changes are coming; I would say to totally restart this program with a new name (CPS is untrustworthy); this is not an agency that has been trustworthy.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
Comment by Julie — December 28, 2008 @ 1:41 pm
If you call CPS the child will be lost. There is no guarantee that you or your family wil lreceive custody.
The best thing you can do is to work WITH the mother and not against here.
There are many here who made the mistake of calling CPS thinking that they would get automatic custody. They were wrong and have paid heavily for it.

DSHS is the MOST SUED AGENCY IN WASHINGTON STATE.
However, folks to be successful, it would seem self-evident to me that you cannot do this by yourself.
There are at least 2 groups, mentioned above , who have started organizations and are in the process of taming DSHS.
Alone, you may fall. With a group ( get on TV, class action, kinship care ) these actions will all be easier. I urge everyone to affiliate with one of the above mentioned groups and WORK TOGETHER.
Happy New Year,

I have a six year old son who has been diagnosed with adhd and autism back in October 2007. I called cps to report incidents of abuse where the school abused my son by the use of resraint. and now someone has reported me for being an incompetant mother, they said I was”emotionally unstable”. When I am the only one that’s been fighting tooth and nail for my son to be recieving servercices. It’s a messed up system when they don’t investigate the schools for abusing our special needs children , and yet they want to pat theirselfs on the back investigating me? Where is all this going? I am home-schooling my son. Because I TRUST NO-ONE (except for my God in heaven)!

I hope someone can help me, please. My grand niece was the unfortunate victim of abuse on 12/19/08. She is 3 mos. old. Apparently, my nephew her father, got angry because she wouldn’t stop crying, (the crying was due to her having a cold and the mother not taking her to the Navy base doctor), both mother and father are in the Navy. My niece ended up in Seattle Children’s hospital with 2 crainial fractures, hematoma on the brain, injury caused seziures and uncontrollable vomiting. My nephew is now in the Naval Brig awaiting sentence. Good riddance I say. His wife the child’s mother is equally responsibe. She was there but supposedly asleep. Who could sleep through a crying baby? This is her second child. Her first child was removed from her care at a year old because of that child was being abused by the father, her loser boyfriend who is now serving a lengthy sentence in TX on a felony conviction. Now CPS is involved with this child and the baby went home with the mother, even though the baby has been made a ward of the state. I am DEEPLY concerned everyday for my little niece in the care of this girl. I spoke with the case worker and gave her a fact checked list of at least 15 red flags as to why this child should be with neither of them. CPS told me they were going to bend over backwards to give her every service, benefit etc and that she had custody of her. They won’t tell us anything about the baby. I wrote a letter to them letting them know that we (my husband & I) would like to take her into our home where she would be doted on (something she’s never had) and loved 24/7. BTW the mother never wanted this baby and rushed back to work when the baby was only 5 wks old. She could have had at least 3 mos. Part of me thinks that my nephew took the fall for her seeing that she already lost one child due to abuse. Who can I contact, call, write about getting my niece out of that monster’s custody and bring her into our home? I am getting nowhere with CPS. Please help me. We are going nuts wanting to protect this baby. If this baby is not removed ASAP it will happen again and this time she might not live.
After pointing out the many red flags of this mother a twelve year old wouldn’t let her have the baby. CPS on the other hand just wants to give her every opportunity to become June Cleaver, which is a joke. Meanwhile a child is in serious jeopardy. Any help you can give me would be most appreciated. BTW, they live in Oak Harbor, WA and we live in Redondo Beach, CA. Would retaining an attorney help? Thank you so very much.

C.P.S. of Port Angeles, Clallam County, Washington is disugustingly responsible for the abuse I suffered at the hands of foster/subsequent adoptive parents they placed me with from infancy to 11.5 yrs. of age. Then when they allowed the 1st adpt. family to relinquish us back into the State’s “care” they knew we had been horribly abused in the previous adoptive home, and did NO Investigation(s) and tried to sweep everything under the rug. Then in March 1988 I found out C.P.S. had given the substantiated child abuser a license TWICE to run a Home Day Care within the very home I was abused in, right there in Port Angeles, WA! They “investigated” suspended her license, then C.P.S. tapped into my sealed archived adoption records w/o the nec. court order, shredded contents of that file, and sent it back to Olympia to the Adoption Archives. Adpt. Archives gave it to CPS up on Port Angeles knowing that proceedures were not being followed by that agency against WA State Law. CPS gave my abusers a Home Day Care License twice against State Law. In Oct. 1989 they revoked the Home Day Care License. The abusers sought a so called Fair Hearing. In March 1990 the abusers transfered all property and assets to their children. The Admin. Law Judge William R. Ward stated that alleged sexual abuse and neglect were “groundless”, witness (me) was not credible. witness (me) was merely having homosexual fantasies regarding first adoptive father. etc etc. All of this was untrue and this Admin. Law Judge had never presided over a sexual abuse case in his life! C.P.S. in August 1989 stated that my Archived adoption records had been destroyed, or had been burned. Yet the PA, WA CPS DSHS Agency had them in October 1989 unbeknownst to me or my 2nd adoptive family! Had we obtained those records at that time, that Admin. Law Judge wouldn’t have been able to make the conclusions he had made. C.P.S. is disgustingly doing deceitful, illegal, inappropriate decisions that harm children within that community. I have tried to obtain legal counsel and just today an attorney, yet again, stated to me “that they don’t have the resources or the time” in which to bring a lawsuit against what C.P.S. and D.S.H.S. did to me as a child and as an adult. JUSTICE = Just-for-us. The State of WA C.P.S. is about $$$$$ coming into the State Federally, and then into the Counties. People say “get over it” regarding the sexual abuse, child abuse, and etc. “Let it go”. Thats easier said than done. It’s harsh to know that C.P.S. in Port Angeles from their head supervisor at the time all the way down to the Case Worker 3, down to the abuser’s themselves could of and apparently can get away with what they have. Its a crying pathetic shame that this is allowed to go undressed in a court of law. Not even a decent attorney will take on a case like this because they are afraid of the expense, the State, and the time it would take to bring forth Justice. Again, the victim(s) are made to conclude that we are ALONE. That no one is there to protect or to help us.

Jan 7th 09 CPS showed up at my door, and accused me of choking my 6 year old daughter, they didnt interview my family or friends, just me and my daughter. They took my daughter out of my home and places her with her Dad that is only to have unsupervised visits if he can pass a UA. The next day my step daughter comes over (my daughter and my step daughter go to the same school) my step daughter tells her Dad (my husband) that she doesnt feel bad for her because she did it to herself. The following week, I sit down with her to do her homework and she says to me you know why I dont feel bad for her, I asked why she says in the B-pod bathroom at school, she started pinching her neck at recess, and then said there, I am going to go tell the principal that mom choked me.
I havent seen my daughter in three weeks, I have talked to her on the phone for a total of 30 minutes in 3 weeks. I asked CPS and law enforcement to interview my other children, family and friends, and they wont. They said it is now a founded report because my daughter said it happened. CPS has left me and my husband and my other three children alone, and the social worker says I am not a danger to my other children, only to the one! WTH!!!
We have hired a lawyer, I dont know what to do…in a matter of minutes CPS has ripped one child out of my home, with no investigations, interviews, NOTHING!!! This is so unbelievable, I still am in total shock!!
I have worked with children all of my life…. homeless, low income, day care centers and I have been a nanny for disabled children. This is soooo unbelievable.

What is House Bill 1375 regarding citizen review boards; where are they? Why weren’t children placed with relatives? I know these have not been followed for a fact!

It genuinely behooves me to think that there are people who do not have any understanding regarding the family you were born to. I was born and raised in poverty but that is not what is important; I believed in mom and dad. They are my American heros for fighting for their family.

My son’s father made a false case againest me, to avoid to pay Childsupport. He is a Latin man. The Police took his case is a Latin, Case worker was Latin. Never ask or called me to verify, who is custodian parent; made a false case I am an abusive mother. CPS took my son more than a year, my son has broke his boath hands, being beaten by his father. 2/3 case worker notify that but social worker and her supervisor still put my son in his father’s custody. Now since I am fighting back, and have those picture taken. DCFS now taking my rights to take my son away from me. Their Court is a mockery of justice. What CPS does minor’s Attorney, CPS Attorny, decides, Jadge seems has to judgement, follow CPS and their Attorney’s decisions. They never look what is the benifit of the child and his future; It is sad to see lots of child are being their victim, and CPS is getting away with that. I want to support any chance I could get, I will do, or take to even higher Court for judgement. Thanks.

Is something happening in offices around the state…Is it possible they have been told to clean up their act? To get rid of cases that they have been holding onto for two and three years? Cases that were all wrong to begin with? Cases that would incriminate them if an investigation comes on the heels of all the media attention and that of Senator Roach’s demands? Not to mention the Ombusmans report that came out in December. Is a lot of paper being shuffled and who knows maybe shredded in the dark and dank offices of the child stealers? Have they finally realized that the American people are sick of their slight of hand tricks and are not going to take it anymore? Is it possible that they finally are finding out what fear smells like? Or is it because the economy is so bad that now even they have to surrender to cut backs? Maybe the governor can no longer protect them and still keep the rest happy if she does not cut back on their huge budget.
Is something in the wind ????

I saw this video on the site of the Olympian and I feel the reporter misinterpreted the rally. People falsely and wrongly misuse the word “abuse” . It is truly upsetting; not all babies or children are in foster care because of “abuse” or drugs. This is a wrong and improper use of this word. When a pregnant woman and a father who have never had children; were not on drugs give birth to a healthy baby; why does this reporter use the word “abuse”. This is what is sickning to me. Doesn’t this reporter also know that women who give birth to a heroin addicted baby actually do get keep their baby? Believe me they probably weren’t at the rally. I think this reporter should have asked people at the rally why they were there;perhaps his story would have been a little bit more to reality. Again, leave it to some people not to understand what people are trying to say. I noticed our signs were not present in the video such as “CPS kidnapped my granddaughter at birth” and no not because of drugs; she gave birth to a healthy baby if you the reporter cared to ask!!!!
Comment by Gingerroot — February 8, 2009 @ 5:18 pm
You would not believe the horrors that CPS can cause to a family that does not have the money to hire a lawyer. 2 of my great-grandchildren have been sold to foster care. Now they are trying to take the third. These children should have never been taken from their grandmother.
It is to bad there are not any pro bona lawyers that care more about children instead of the almighty dollar.
There needs to be an donation account set up to help families from CPS.
Get rid of all CPS workers and put grandparents in charge. There are two many CPS workers that are pot smokers.

FEDERAL LAW CHANGE OCT, 2008
States now MUST NOTIFY FAMILY WITHIN 30 DAYS IF A CHILD IS REMOVED FROM A PARENT.

Grandchildren Adopted Out of the Family
By Amy Goyer | February 24, 2009
Reader Question: Our family has been ripped apart because our grandchildren were adopted outside the family. This has been very traumatic for all of us as we have tried very hard to get the authorities to allow us to adopt them. We feel the system has failed our entire family in this matter. How do we get people to listen? And what can we do to keep going? We want everyone to be aware of the laws in our state and what they can do to prevent this from happening to them. Where do we start?
Many grandparents are willing to step up to the plate and gain custody or adopt grandchildren when parents can’t raise them – for whatever reason. Unfortunately, your situation is all too common. Family members may be the last to know when a child is available for adoption. The good news is that after many years of advocating for grandparents in this kind of situation, on Oct. 7, 2008 the Fostering Connections to Success and Increasing Adoptions Act was signed into law. This new law directly addresses the tragic issue you and many others face. It mandates that state child welfare agencies provide notice to all adult grandparents and other relatives within 30 days of a child being removed from a parent’s custody. Most states have already had notification policies on the books, but in reality those policies were not always enforced. This new law makes it compulsory, with few exceptions, and it also makes it easier for child welfare agencies to find families members.
Some of the strongest advocates for this law were grandparents who are unable to have a relationship with a grandchild because adoptive families chose not to allow the child to see – or even know about – their relatives. There is still a need for more advocacy. Spread the word that this new law exists, and hold your state agencies accountable to it. Start a discussion about this topic here on Grandparents.com. Grandparents, if the child welfare system is involved in your grandchild’s life, make sure that those on the case know you exist and how to reach you. Sadly, this law comes into effect too late for this family, and many others. But it does shed a ray of hope for the thousands of grandparents who will face a situation like this down the road.

I need help, I am a mother of 2 beautiful little girls one 3 and the other is almost 1. I have now been seperated from my children for a month in a half. In April, my then ten month old daughter, who had just started walking, had got her leg caught in the crib bars between the matress and the crib, and had fractured her femur, The first time I took her to the hospital, they told me nothing was wrong except she had a double ear infection, and gave us some antibodics for it. Three days later, she was still not better and I just knew something else was wrong , so I took her back to the hospital and demanded that they do an x-ray, that is when they discovered she had a fractured femur. About a week in a half later, CPS showed up at my door with three officers, and took my two children into custody because they beleived that I had broke her leg. Its been a little over a month now, and I still do not have my children, we go to court in another month, but I am just at a lose, I would NEVER hurt my children, I am by no means perfict, but I feel that I have been greatly unjusted.

Ashley:
You have to read further and network here.
Join the Message Board here. You will find folks in your own state to network with.
Did you ever think that the hospital is trying to cover up their own malpracice in the Er?
You may need a med mal atty, too. To litigate v the hospital. Medical malpractice. The hospital should know when the femur break occurred.
I believe a competent radiologist should be able to estimate when the break occurred.
Anyway, you have to register to join Message Board and be approved. May take a couple of days.
Since we do not know what state you are in–for now you need to read here and especially the Lawyers site which lists attorneys in many states. Remember you initial call and contact ( probably with the atty paralegal is usually free while they evaluate your case.)
