S… they may try to separate you from your baby because they can get federal money for adopting babies out. So do everything you can to document that you’re a good mom. For example, you could write to your baby’s doctor requesting copies of all medical records so if you ever have to go to court you can prove your child was in good health, you were going to appointments, etc.. By the way, never miss an appointment because people have had their children taken just for missing a doctor appointment or trying to postpone it.

Hi, my name is S…… i am 17 years old and a mother myself. i am currently living with my mother who got us taken away about 1 year ago. She just got us back a month ago. CPS told her that she was on a three month trial and kept telling her she was doing better, but then my friend who happened to be drunk came over, and talked to my mom because he was depressed. Well CPS calls this a “party” and is know trying to remove us from her care again. My mother is an amazing mom and she has done nothing wrong. Well while she is being investigated they tell me that someone so happened to call and say that i was avoiding MY responsibilities as a parent. Note that i have never done anything illegal and i am still a teenager myself. I help my mom pay bills and i clean the house when ever it gets messy. I have a 10 month old son, who is very happy. Yet they will not show me the report that was supposably made, nor tell me who made the report. Which is kind of fishy to me. i have currently been looking to seek out further help. Again i am only 17 and i have no idea what i am supposed to do. I have no money to hire a lawyer, and i am currently not in school because i have no babysitter for my son, i cannot afford it either. I have tried getting my GED but CPS wont let me, they keep saying it would be better to get my highschool diploma yet i have no one to watch my son for free. I really am looking for some good advice or some help. PLEASE.

CPS just removed one grand-daugter again plus my new 9 mo. old. Emergency order after 50 days and 3 CPS visits. I received guardianship of the first one only after they received a letter from the Governor. The Director called and asked if I could pick her up immediately. Now they are retaliating using different case worker, manager, supervisor, and even lawyer so their names will not appear on any documents.
I’m filing a ‘Notice of Tort’ in Federal Court for violation of my Civil Rights (ie 4th, 9th, and 14th ammendments. File a Motion for Discovery with the clerk to get everything CPS has. I am researching three books- ‘How and When To be Your Own Lawyer’ with a 95% rating by other lawyers by Robert Schachner. “Represent Yourself in Court’ by Paul Berman (Harvard Prof. of Law) which is probably the best as it outlines correct legal language to use. Also, ‘How to Present, Persuade, and Prevail by the country’s best trail lawyer Gerry Spence. He has others but his focuses on courtroom demeanor, when to object, rules, when to be emotional, etc. Read all three and file your ‘Motion ot Tort’. You can buy these books used on Amazon for less than $40. You can pick up your paperwork at the Federal Courthouse and the $300 filing fee will be waived if you can demonstrate indigence (easy for most). Flood the courts with these motions and Please someone put together a rally in Indianapolis so we can get the legislation changed to end ‘bonuses’ for removal. IN ranks 4th in the nation for removal ($4000/child, $7000 if child is over 7 yrs.) and a huge bonus if they can adopt your child out.
I respectfully urge the webmaster to pick a date and thousands of families and friends will be there.

I am re-married to a black man, and I am a white woman. My daughter who just recently turned 8 is currently living full time with her father who drops her off to my parents 4-7 nights of the week. The reason he got custody was because my daughter, for whatever reason (I believe she was manipulated by my mother, a racist) lied to CPS workers and told them she was being abused by my husband, that I was being abused as well and that we smoked weed in the house with her. Even though the claims were unsubstantiated, my ex’s attorney was allowed to use the CPS reports in court, and my mother did a very good acting job on the stand. Not only that, but my daughter had been sent to a pschologist that I knew NOTHING about and told her the same stories… something HAS to be done about this problem!!! I miss my baby every day, and she lives a horrible life where she never knows what house she will be staying at or where her dad will be. And there is nothing I can do about it… Makes you feel helpless…

If you filed a Tort. WRITE WHAT YOU DID!!! I am filing a tort and am learning, Torts are hush, hush. I am confused on where to send it, what form, I’m I doing it write???
I will be posting my information on here.
So many people say you only have 180 days, however the Tort form I have says “according to Indiana Law, you only have 270 days from loss to file”.
Please, post what you did so we can follow.
I think what needs to happen now is EVERYONE needs to file a Tort Claim. Flood the AG with it. If I get anything back on my Tort I will help everyone. I want to lobby and get the child abuse laws changed, we need to ban together and it needs to be soon.

Chuck, if there were not so many false accusations and cases where children are taken when they shouldn’t be, there would be no need for this site and the site would not be here. If reading this site makes you mad, maybe you should find something else to do to make yourself happy.

If parents would take care of their kids that state would not have to…of course there will be a miskate when dealing with high volumes of cases but to think the system as a whole is bad is just crazy. reading through here makes me mad becuase some of the posts are people who need their children removed yet seek protection in numbers….

my kids were taken because my exbf was doing child porn. Now cps is trying to destroy my family and keep my only family member left out of my life by misconstruing information they have about him and putting words in my mouth. I know my father will never hurt my kids. What is more is they have been in the system for a year and a half and i still have an hour visit only when they should be in the at least 4 hour range away from the visitation place. Cps needs to be completely revampd with nothing but parents running the place. i mean if a cps worker abuses thear kids they get to keep them why cant we when the allegations are not true where in other cases cps workers can keep theiars when it is true. an angry hurt mom. thanks

Well im in the dreaded hamilton co.
and my babies were taking in feb. I wasn’t even there I left house was clean i guess hubby let the house get messy I was out of town. The bastard govt. preschool said that they smell bad. so they come take my kids without a court order. Over all things a dirty house they are fed clothed sheltered wheres the neglect ? i just might get an unsupervised visit soon yay me. im writing a book to help us little bit.

I am in search of any parents that has had a CPS case in Owen county where they feel there rights were violated by the CPS office or its staff. My case was opened in Dec. 2008 and I attended IOP classes in Spencer, IN. and there was women in my class with me that discribed the same foul play from CPS workers and I am very interested in speaking with those women about a class action suit, I have already filed my Tort claim.
