In the first case, the child has a diagnosis from a psychiatrist and psychologist of (ADHD and) ODD, meaning he never tells the truth, is spiteful and vindictive, refuses to accept responsibility for his actions, refuses to follow rules and instructions, argues with adults, and does anything and everything to avoid getting in trouble (including lying and pitting adults against one another to remove focus from himself and his misdeeds). It is evident that DCS has NEVER taken his diagnosis into account, or they have no understanding of it whatsoever. They have continued to pusue the mother as guilty with NO substantiating evidence, the backing of the mother by mental health professionals, and despite the child having recanted his story every single time to other adults, school officials, law enforcement, juvenile court, juvenile probation, and his psychologist/therapist. They continue to AGGRESSIVELY investigate each and every report made as a result of lies told by the child (to avoid punishment), in an attempt to MAKE the allegations true, arriving unannounced at all hours at the home of the mother, demanding to be let inside, threatening law enforcement action, threatening removal of all the children (even though reports only involve the lying child), and going against “agreements” made with the mother and her attorney “to avoid coming out once a month or more when we (DCS) get a report.” There have been several documented instances of DCS case workers not presenting and/or taking into account ALL facts, and presenting their own blatant lies for truths. Mom is college educated, attends church, has always held a job, has no history of violent/abusive/inapropriate behavior, and no criminal record. This woman is being persecuted by DCS for having done nothing wrong, and worse yet, has no legal recourse against these people even when they are proven to be in the wrong. When does this stop? When DCS has ripped apart yet another family? Isn’t it supposed to be innocent until proven guilty? I don’t think repeated reports, especially made as a result of a child proven to be a pathological liar, make a person guilty.

In the second case in this same county, two young children have been caught by family members acting out sexual acts with one another, both clothed and naked, relate watching pornographic-type movies “with mommy,” can tell the channel number the movies are shown on, and relate not only sleeping in the same room with their mother and her boyfriend, but also witnessing those same adults performing the same sexual acts they try to imitate with one another. All this has been related to family members AND a psychologist/therapist who has a professional and therapeutic relationship with the children (and is not the same person as either of the afore-mentionned mental health professionals). Yet because these two young children did not feel comfortable talking about or showing these same acts in to a total stranger (the DCS case worker), and because the mother would not allow DCS to come to her home and interview her, her boyfriend, or the children while in her care (DCS only called to ask permission), DCS did nothing but say they were unable to substantiate and find no reason to remove the children from the mother’s care. Nevermind that mom has a long history of mental health issues, mom’s boyfriend is not supposed to be present in her home AT ALL when the children are there because of prior physical abuse allegations, mom has been proven to be lying in court, and mom has also been proven to have used the children to gain government funds for food, living arrangements, etc, for the children while the children were not in her custody. When will DCS step in and do the right thing here? Does the family have to wait for a catastrophic event before something gets done? Will the DCS workers be reprimanded in any way for doing nothing here? Again, same county (Johnson), same department, case workers and supervisors, and two TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE outcomes that are most certainly and very obviously not based on evidence or fact.

What recourse does the mom have int he first instance, or do the relatives have in the second case? The law leaves these conscience-less DCS workers free and clear to do whatever they please without fear or danger of being reprimanded for their own errors, poor judgement, and activities related to these cases, while children and adults, FAMILIES are continuing to suffer and be torn apart at the hand of these cruel people who work for this unregulated, lawless agency.

In this county of Indiana Cps goes to great length to make sure that the children are in their parents custody no-matter how unstable, violent, abusive they are. I have seen this one parent with drug abuse, abusive, and extreme neglect for their child, all with 18 years of proof. Especially the last 2 years. The 18 years is with the first child and now with a 12 year old, a half sister of the other.
There is so much abuse and neglect that it would take up 2-4 pages.

cps will still manipliate the court system, not read court orders and do what ever they can to put the child with the unstable mother.
Even though there are family members willing to take custody of the child. They won’t even consider the family members after the judge said to evaluate the family member.

What I see is a total opposite of what you all are going through.

This child and many more in this county is being abused, neglected by parents but…

Another case where a 16 year old gets raped and beaten and her 12 year old sister is made to watch, all by their step father. cps gets a call and removes the children for 1 month and returns the children with little to no research and evaluations.
As soon as the children return the 12 year old gets raped and beaten.

Sorry people,
but I believe every case is different and should be handled differently.

States that they can now litigate based on certain abusive behavior done to FOSTER CHILDREN.

Naturally, they will only handle clean, impeccable cases.

They have developed a team of cooperating attys in at least 20 states.

Mostly they win. They got 12M for the starving adoptive boys in NJ.

I believe they are now targeting OK DHS.

There are others. Some have been helped by these actual clinics.

I am a BIG proponent of homeschooling, and hope that your rights to homeschool always remain intact. I would like to see all homeschooling separated from any government control because it is clear that government agents (many if not most) do not want what’s best for children.
