Oh, you're absolutely right, Fern. Extortion is what CPS cases resemble to me. Parents are forced to complete service plans for which counties are 'reimbursed' through Social Security funds... parents not allowed to have their children back unless they do everything on the service plan list. It is a way to get money into the county, and to enrich service providers who will do their bidding or who are relatives of social services employees. That's how I see it. Everyone should do the research for their county to see what pockets that Social Security funding ends up in. Who ARE these 'service' providers anyway?

Wonder what Ms. Fryson was placed on administrative leave for? Prior to her arrest on extortion?

The CPS reform movement has spurred changes in the evaluation and monitoring of CPS employees.

FL will now place GPS trackers in caseworkers kits to account for their time.

The culture of CPS should probably be the subject of a doctoral dissertation.

Perhaps there are 2 distinct groups of employees---those who are honest, diligent, and truly concerned about children and families.

But it seems there exists also a deviant culture within CPS which exploits vulnerable families and children. To the detriment of all.

DHS Philadelphia recently terminated 9 workers and SUPERVISORS in the tragic death of a 14 year old girl who died emaciated, and covered with bedsores.

CPS must properly discipline and monitor its employees. I am hopeful that with the CPS reform movement, this necessary change will be implemented.

EXTORTION?? Some parents feel that is what CPS does every day......
