Child Protective Services, CPS, has devastated and destroyed hundreds of thousands of families in America during the last thirty years leaving a trail of broken hearts, broken dreams, and shattered childhoods.
Rather than helping families, government agents have used unconstitutional laws in Juvenile Court to rip children away from their loving parents, break asunder God-given, natural, parent-child bonds, and adopt the children of the grieving out to others who profit financially with large monthly adoption subsidy payments.
Child Protective Services must be stopped! The law that started this, CAPTA, must be repealed. We must work tirelessly to inform the public of this very dangerous travesty of justice. We must keep faith knowing that if there is a God, there is an answer and a way to end this heartache.
Child Protective Services Agents - please come to your senses! Family destruction on false or trivial grounds is wrong, reprehensible, and inhumane.
Fosterers - be aware that for the money you get you are holding much-loved children away from their grieving families while the parents are forced to perform a service plan that is anything but a service to them. I call this hostage holding for the government. This is not kindness - to help misguided government agents destroy family relationships and break loving bonds.
CPS workers and fosterers - I ask that you now let the children of the innocent return to their homes where they are truly valued, adored, and loved by the parents God gave them.
Family rights are God-given rights. And they should not be ignored or postponed. Every moment these loving parents and children spend separated from one another is a torment beyond what anyone should ever have to bear.
It is unworthy of human dignity to allow this terrorism and torture of families to go on without saying something, speaking out, and trying to make a change.

A food pantry gave me a can of infant formula containing what I believe was laundry detergent. I had never seen soy formula before and didn’t realize that it wasn’t soy formula when I opened the can. I sought immediate medical attention for my son and now the state has taken custody of Gabrian WITH A FALSIFIED DOCUMENT. No one has even bothered to investigate the food pantry.

Also, I’ve spoken with attorney Richard Haynes over the weekend several times and while he hasn’t said that he would take my case, we have spoken several times. This has already been in the newspaper twice and still NO ONE is investigating the food pantry. CPS informed me that it is not their job to investigate businesses.

Hello, I am seeking an aggressive attorney for an ongoing DCFS matter concerning my children. My current atty and prior ones admitted they have to be politically correct. I am seeking a new atty immediately as due to what is known as “trophy hunters” in this dependency Court, the filing of false reports and lies by relative caretakers (who were virtual strangers & absentee my children’s entire lives), are so desperate for a child they cannot have on their own, they have ruined my children’s entire childhoods. The case keeps getting postponed for 4 years the Court has not heard this case due to be heard. These people & the prior caseworker were found to be “DETRIMENTAL, BRAINWASHING & OVERINFLUENCING” by a Court Appointed Forensic Psychologist during a Court ordered 730 evaluation on both sides of the family. Our side turned out favorable & these people & the caseworker found Detrimental by the Forensic. The Judge threatened Sanctions on the caseworker when she failed to appear so she replaced herself to save herself after wrecking havoc.The Children’s attys failed to protect them & all are together in this coverup since the 730 came in & the Judge wants this all swept under the table so to speak. I need someone NOT politically correct to enforce all legal rights, so my children can be returned & the recovery process can begin with restraining orders placed on those who caused these damages for self gain as well as civil lawsuits against all as the system itself has become detrimental. Thank you. I look forward to any input or atty referrals as all attys in this California Court are being politically correct in this massive coverup. The Judge acknowledged this case was messed up by them & no one is there to step in and clean up shop here for my kids………. Also the entire maternal family who were life scanned monitors were banned from seeing my children to silence & suppress them from talking. Thank you.

We are seeking a defense lawyer in the state of IN. We are trying to get custody of Jacob, who is 3. He is the legal child of my fiance, Jeff. Jacob was born during Jeff’s marriage but he isnt the biological father. We understand that but Jeff is the only father Jacob has ever known. CPS took Jacob from his mother due to her having terminal cancer. She has since passed away. Her older two children were taken to another state with the foster family that wants to adopt them. Jeff refused to let Jacob leave the state with his siblings so CPS has severed his rights as the legal father. We have jumped through all of the CPS hoops only to have them file a motion asking the court to rule that Jeff has no right in the say so of Jacob. Jeff appeared at a hearing this morning, but didnt even get a chance to speak to a judge. He was handed papers that said he was ruled out as having a say in Jacobs placement. Is there any lawyer out there that wants to take on CPS? We are willing to fight tooth and nail for Jacob. He needs to be home with his daddy…the only daddy he has ever known. Please someone help us.

i guess i should have looked at the fourum, rawley is 2 almost three years old, the police came to my home on 3 acres and interupted a family bbq to tell me they had accusations my child was in an unsafe home, well my mother sitting to my side who is a wshington state licenced chemical dependancy councler, still cannot do anything to get him home, we have done it all every class with no avail, no matter what we do they are still willing to let my child go to a foster home!! i dont understand why my public defender never says anything in court! i work for the county i live in, i have a huge house, on property not in any kind of jepordy, i do not do drugs or alcohol, i work and i come home why wont they let me be a mom? please help me i dont care what it takes. after my visits with my child and i get reports that he stops eating and talking?? how can they do this to a 2 year old?

A month ago my children were taken by CPS they say that they got a call saying that my children were abused and took them. MY public defender does nothing. They wont provide the supposed evidence that they have. I’ve wrote letters to the governor of my state senators. the news paper, the news. No one will help. They have violated my rights. The judge told me I couldn’t speak in court. Wouldn’t let my lawyer properly defend me when she tried. Refused to talk to my witnesses. I feel hopeless. Please help me.

I have two children Aaron 14 and Ariana 12. My parental rights were severed and my children were adopted illegally by a pedophile… my father. My rights have since then been restores as it was proven in a court of law that they purgered themselves. However, they chaos still exists for they constantly call the CPS hotline in attempts to establish a pattern or case. My children are now in custody due to false allegations which arose from a report made by my parents. The system is allowing a pedophile to continue his reign of terror with my children. As it has been proven that my son was also victimized at his hands. Yet CPS has done absolutely nothing. I am desperately seeking an attorney who is willing to take my case, Please help. Do not allow my children to become yet another statistic.

Court system in Florida, not the best system. It took me 6 months to get child support amended, which to date has still not been rectified due to deaf ears within the court system. It took my ex 2 weeks and was heard and her motion was granted. What a system we have here. This is what I call pure discrimination, just because I am a male.

Hello. We are Michael & Stephanie Sorensen. We are both teachers. College instructor and high school tutor/teacher. We were (are) the foster parents of our oldest Grandaughter who has been abused, especially by her father and paternal aunt. Through lies and false accusations from CPS, this last Friday they came and took her crying and devestated from her school and said they were placing her with another family - refusing to give us a reason. Everything was going fine until last February when we got a CPS worker who was friends with the paternal side of the family. We had been getting wonderful reviews from our then CPS worker. As soon as the new CPS worker came on the scene it has been one nightmare after another. We know that the paternal side is bribing the CPS workers on our case. There are 3+ workers. We were suppose to have adopted her last April, but they found ways to extend the time. They kept accusing us of letting her see her mother even though it is lies - we can prove they are lies. They also lied to a state Adoption worker and her counselor who I am sure will not purjure themselves for CPS. Please take our case to get our Grandaughter back and expose CPS lies and help us get the corruption out of this Nation and state. Thank you. Michael & Stephanie Sorensen

Couple suggestions:
1. Need to post name of state.
2. Google the name of your state’s
CPS agency thru a search engine. For example, NH= DCYF
3. Join Message Boards here. Use a made up email name.
4. Also try Youtube.com. There are many advocates and younger folks who skip immediately to video when they talk about their case.
5. There are at least 8 state advocates who are or were listed on:

6. Read the archives here on “Do you need a CPS attorney” Linda has had this site up for years. A little homework and I am certain u will find an atty to discuss case with.

I just got joint custody of my son and now after the first weekend of staying with me the CP wants to call CPS to come to my home and see the sleeping situation. I live with my girlfriend and her daughter. Both kids are 4 years old and sleep in there own bed but in the same room. We have a two bedroom apartment if this helps any. Please help both they take my rights away

My daughter was taken from me after my ex-husband was accused and sentenced for unproven abuse. I was never accused and i took requested parenting classes. Before i was finished with classes and was not informed it was happening, she was already adopted out to an unknown family. I don’t know where she is or how she is. PLEASE Help!

my 2 year old and 8 month old were taken by c.p.s due to false allegations of abuse. my 8 month old i took to the hospital 3 times over the same thing she was misdiganosed twise and the 3rd time they called c.p.s on me and they took my kids im a great mother and i am crying out for help with a lawyer to get my babies back from cpc please help me get a aggresive layer that isnt scared of c.p.s please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I live in Nebraska and CPS put my family through hell. We are trying to find an attorney because they violated our rights that are in their own handbook during their assessment. There are so many different types of lawyers, and I was wondering what kind we would need to take legal action against DHHS?

I guess this is where I post for Lawyers,info etc. keeping it “brief” in a case like this is going to be TOUGH especially by the time someone researches & finds this site so much Damage by CPS & others have already been done So how can someone GO BACK in time & re do hearings etc.? My daughter has 3 kids & 1 she has Legal Custody of. 2 of them were sent home from school due to Head Lice so CPS removed them & put into Foster Care. Before all that happened I intervined & had the 2 girls with me so I could try to get them back into school. CPS called me on April14,2008 said she was new worker on the case & that she needed me to bring girls in so she can Physically see them so I complied with her. (she gave me 2hrs. to get them there) When I took them in she kept my 2 granddaughters & put them in foster care. I have been fighting this since.I even tried to appear in court the Fri.before but wasnt allowed since I wasnt a party to the case. I filed a Pro se packet to make myself a party. My daughters BOTH have Public Defenders who are NOT doing anything at all. When I find out what they can do for us they ignore All our request.I know now that we might as well be fighting this on our own & if we dont get some kind of REAL Legal Help ..well I fear the worst. I have Legal custody of one of my grandson’s who is the brother of one of girls in foster care.The Magistrate on the case now is the one who Granted me full custody in 2006.My home study has been complete & we were suppose to have a hearing within 10 days of my BCI report coming back ( for temp custody & or placement)& its been over 2 weeks & no one is doing anything.My custody hearing is Sept.22. but we ALL wanted our hearing we were Promised before then. Everyone concerning these girls have agreed to let them be placed with me so I dont know why CPS wants to keep holding things up.I have reported her so many times they know my # by heart & the case worker Sabatage’s our family due to the complaints.She got really upset when she found out I filed a pro se. She tries to talk my daughter into keeping them in Foster care until she completes her case plan. I just dont get it. Why cant something be done for ALL the wrong doings of these people? They lied on the stand, with held VITAL information, sends a replacement so intake worker cant be questioned & has the Magistrate on her side & doesnt see what is really going on with her & blames us for ALL of this. The Judge has asked several times about my homestudy being complete & they lie to her. How are they alowed to get away with this when if it were me it would be purgery? The Guardian Ad Litem has recommended me as well. She is on OUR side verse CPS. she knows how they have treated us & how we are a Big Loving & caring family & kids NEVER should have been removed & least been left in my care. PLease if Anyone has compasion at all help us. I will be willing to supply you with any & all information you need & do all the running for you. I just need a Lawyer to guide me on what to do, the steps, how too’s & possibly appear 1 time in court with us. I live in Dayton, Ohio Montgomery County. Basically you should try someone with Family Law experience.
Google the name of Nebraska CPS agency and Plaintiff attorney.
For example: DCF Nebraska attorney plaintiff
Google makes its revenue selling ads. Some atty names should appear in the ad section of the page.

Danielle - a lot of people have sued CPS in federal court using constitutional law as a basis of their complaints. For this you would need an attorney who specializes in constitutional law.
Tip: Go to local courthouses - the county courthouse and nearest federal court, and look through their public-access computer system case listings for other cases filed against CPS. You can look at the case files and find out the disposition of the cases and the attorneys involved.

this is on the other side of how cps is working. this little girls parents are both drug users and unable to care for the child. she was abused at 4 1/2 months old and that is why she was taken into custody and placed in our home. my husband and i fostered a little girl from the time she was 5 months old. on july 15th, child advocate and also cps decided to take this little girl out of our home and send her to another foster home. there was no abuse or any kind of neglect at all. they were not allowed to remove her without a court order but they did it anyway. the finally hearing was just this past week and parental rights were voluntarily given up by the parents. now, explain to me why cps didn’t tell the judge that the home she is in is the 2nd foster home. why didn’t cps/child advocate/and the childs lawyer tell the judge or mention that the home she is currently in is the 2nd foster home? my husband has told me that several lawyers have told him he can fight this and get the little girl back into our home. we were hoping to adopt her. anyway, the judge also told everyone there that the child is not to be removed w/out a court order. any advice would be helpful

If possible I need an attorney with me September 10 for my appeal phone hearing for the following,
have a night mare so here I am. A friend of mine in Texas thought I should come here. My ex husband has really pulled a number on me. My ex called DHS here in Iowa April 28th of this year, and told them that I knew and approved anf gave permission for our then 11 year old how is 12 now to have sex with a 16 year old boy, which is not true at all. Then on the 29th of April DHS went to see him and in his interview with DHS when they asked him he said I did not do it and did not know. It is in black and white in the report but yet DHS proceeded. with this. It is in black and white in the report filed, because I did not get the report until after the china hearing like a dope I agreed but then when I realized what had been said I started to fight this thing. Our girl has been in foster care for 5 months. Not only did DHS allow this to go on they have the report all wrong. When I met my husband who I am married to now, I left her alone at our house as she did not want to come. She looks 16 years of age. Anyway I called her frequently to make sure she was home and alright plus I came home to check on her etc. DHS said I then allowed her to continue to go to the boys house after I found out about the pregnancy scare, that is not true at all. My ex gave her wine coolers and smoked pot around her admitted to it and DHS for the most part did nothing to him. I did win the right for appeal hearing on the phone and my court appointed attorney told me to call the Iowa attorney general to see what settlement meant. When I asked I was horrified of their reply. They want me to say their report is founded and then they will take my name off list, well this report was not founded. It was started by lies. They put me on a child abusers list for 10 years for something I did not do. My ex knows this and refuses to come forward he says DHS misworded what he said. They are making him take drug tests of which he continues to fail, as of yesterday said he has to go to rehab. He is planning on fighting for full custody but he is also behind $18,000 back child support. My husband says it is just a scam to get out of child support. For years my ex was not interested in our youngest and now all of a sudden he is? Anway my friend said you guys could help me through this. I have done everything DHS has told me to do. I have lost $400 a month in income from this hours at work and many tears. My appeal phone hearing is Wednesday if anyone has advice that would help please email me at poston_kathy@hotmail.com There were times DHS would not allow me to see my child and when I asked why they said I knew and approved of her having sex and had it coming to me. What ever happened to innocent before proven guilty?

Sorry Linda, I must have looked in wrong place. I am stressed out over this mess. Why would a state ask you to plead guilty to something you did not do in exchange to get your name off a child abusers list for something you did not do. That is not right. I sure could use some advice.

Kathy - my opinion is (and I am not a lawyer)… that they want you to plead guilty so they can keep you in the system jumping through their ’service plan’ hoops while your child is traumatized with fosterincarceration for at least twelve months if not permanently. And a court appointed lawyer often recommends a guilty plea so they will not have to go to the trouble of actually defending you in a trial.
If they are telling you they will take your name off the central index just because you plead guilty - I’m pretty sure that’s just another lie. I’ve never heard of a ‘guilty’ person having their name removed. They will tell you anything to avoid having to go through a trial.

. Let me tell you, I never dreamed that an addiction problem in ones family could go so far as this story will tell. First, I would like to say hi to Kevin and many thanks for his support. The date is May 16, 2008 and it has been nearly two years since the death of my wife due to accute polypharmacy intoxication, at least thats what the death certificate says. Overdose is what I call it! I am still in an intense battle for my children. It seems that no matter what I do, it’s not good enough for the social services of Grayson County Kentucky. Let me lay it out for you. First , I was ordered to attend parenting classes, which I have done, not once but twice, and have two certificates. The reason I went two times is because the first time I went, even though the class was given through Western Kentucky University, it was not good enough for grayson county. I had to go to a class sponsered by social services. Next, I was ordered to submit to fandom drug tests. Well, I submitted, I have passed and passed and passed again with negative results. Still not good enough. Then I was ordered to keep a house with enough room and beds for my four children. Since Barbies death, I have maintained a home with all the furnishings for my family. I have not been evicted nor have I been without a home since this all began. Sure, I moved from Hardin County to Grayson but not because I was forced, I moved because the rest of Barbies older children live here and I wanted to make sure that all the kids were close. Of course I was under the impression that my children would be returned home a year ago when I moved. NOT SO! I was ordered to attend counseling and therapy,which I have done and still continue to do today. Still no good. Now I will tell you what I have done on my own. Barbie passed away on July 4th 2006. August of the same year, I began attending college at Elizabethtown community and technical college, majoring in chemical engineering. I chose this field because after researching many different websites, such as NASA and DuPont chemicals, I found that chemical engineers earn a very good salary. This would be very good for my children and I. Currently, I am a disabled veteran and the small amout that I draw is not enough for me to raise my children in the way I want to. I will begin the second half of my sophomore year in august of 2008. I have also attended drug and alcohol counseling (voluntarily) and meetings at Al-Anon to get a better understanding of what happened to my family and for social and moral support. Then I got a real shock. Two months ago, I was served papers by the sherriffs department stating that my mother was suing for adoption of my children. This paper stated that I am mentally and emotionally unstable and that I have done nothing in the subsequent two years to rehabilitate myself. Furthermore, It said that if I wasn’t so mentally and emotionally unstable, I would realize that I was unfit to raise my own children, but because I was so unstable, I probably wouldn’t agree to the adoption. Of course I wont agree! I haven’t gone through two years of hell only to give up my children anyway! I have been probed and prodded, investigated, watched, Ive had social workers show up at my house many many times unannounced and have not been found high or drunk, my house is always clean, I have plenty of food in the house (just in case my kids come home) And let me tell you, it was a hard adjustment to go from cooking for six, to cooking for only one! One would think that would be easy, but it’s not. I have spent thousands of dollars in gas, counselors, courts ( 7 appearances ) Moving expenses and still nothing seems good enough. Well, the adoption was denied but the kids weren’t brought home. I was told that I had to hire an attorney and sue for custody. WHAT? Ok, I got a lawyer but before i could get into court, I was hit with more papers signed by my own mother suing me for full custody and child support. Now, my question is, why are my children not home yet? No one has an answer. When I ask the social worker, her answer is “I dont know”. Just for your info, Grayson County Kentucky social services have been under investigation for taking children from their homes for invalid reasons, also for quickly adopting children out before there can be a full investigation of the circumstances of their removal from the parents. Am I in America? After all I have been through and all I have done to prove myself fit as a parent guess what I get? I get TWO HOURS every two weeks of visitation with my kids. That equals to 30 minutes per child in a two week period. What a joke! My kids ask me every time I see them when they can come home ,but I am forbidden from telling them anything pertaining to their homecoming or giving them any kind of hope whatsoever. Yet, my mother is allowed to tell them that their father does not love them and that they are never coming home. It tears my heart out when they cry to me about how much they want to come back home and they tell me what my mother says to them, hell, they even told a social worker but they did not do or say anything to stop it. Do I sound angry? Well, if I do, it’s because I am! Im angry at the system that took my kids for false reasons, and wont even bother trying to help me get them home, I’m angry at my mother for all the false allegations against me and doing everything in her power to delay my kids return. Heres the truth; my mom visited my kids a total of three times in six years before Barbies death, even though we lived within 50 miles of her, yet she will go on vacations to oklahoma and georgia to visit friends. She refused to tace care of the kids for a while until I could be cleared of wrongdoing in Barbies death all the way up to the point where she was told she would recieve 1200.00$ per month for the kids in assistance. You should have seen how fast she jumped on that when it came down to making a buck. Since getting temperorary custody of my kids she not only bought a new house, but a four bedroom house built to her specs. She has bought a 2000 dollar electric piano for herself(No lessons for the kids) she has bought a 2008 minivan with a TV and DVD player (brand new), also a 1500 dollar laptop computer and two desktops that cost a grand. I know because I have the same desktop pc, she has financed her vacations to myrtle beach and texas to the beaches off my kids backs, she wont go visit her other grandson ( my brothers son) that only lives a hundred miles from her. She hasn’t seen him in the last seven years. Meanwhile, my kids are riding the new bikes that I bought them, and thats amazing because all the other toys I buy for them get taken as soon as I leave, she dosen’t buy anything for them with the money she gets and believe me, she could afford it, between her and her husband, they draw over four thousand dollars a month in retirement! Am I the only one that sees something wrong with this picture? Write me and let me know, Kevin, what you think. Also, I will welcome any comments or e-mails from other readers as well. Believe me, any advice is greatfully recieved by myself and my childrens older siblings. We are at a loss for words. I will close with this; I am not writing any articles for profit or personal gain, the articles I write are to let others know what can happen as a result of drugs and alcohol in the hopes that some one will benifit from the facts of all the problems that come with substance abuse. My name is Winona Sully i live in Tacoma,WA . I have 5 children but at the time 4 of my children being forcefully removed from my home from the tacoma police my other child who i reported as a runaway was in involved in a prosituiton raid in a motel. The ploice knocked on my door i thought they was there to let me know they got my daughter that i reported as a runaway but they said they was there to remove my children and forced there self in and accused me of prosituiting my daughters out .
i made serveral runaway reports.
Cps was unaware of what was going on , so now i went to court gave up voluntary custody.
i need help on all these accusations.all lies ,even my daughter that was in involved in the raid told the tacoma ploice thats not true.

What really makes me mad is my ex husband lied to get thjs whole thing going, and it is in black and white writing that he lied but admitted to DHS that he did give her booze and smoke pot around her. I wish I knew why they continued this fare when they could see he lied. I do not know what to do but I will keep fighting.

I do have a court appointed attorney and he says that everyone sees the hoops I am going through that she should be home in December provided she and I do the family counseling upon my counslers decision. Shouldn’t my ex be on trial here not me? I know now I should have made her come with me to my husbands but I figured since I was always checking on her by phone or driving home, I had no idea this was going to happen. Should I write my senator here in Iowa? The one thing I do know is I never ever approved of her having sex. The court appointed attorney says that DHS is mad for me leaving her but from 1999 November of last year I never ever left her alone. I will never do it again that is for sure. My ex knew the only way to get me into trouble was to lie. ANyway I have thought about writing our senator for Iowa and the president of the USA.

We have had our grandchildren living with us since last October, Eleven months. On friday I got a call from the case worker saying that by 1pm she will be thier to move the kids and if I’m not home she will pick them up at daycare and take them back to Colfax Wa.,because Pierce county felt it was a risk. She stated that thier was a report that one of the kids had bruses and they needed to be removed. I asked what had happened and she stated that thier was a report that I had slapped the oldest across the room. I COULD NOT BE THIS. That is somthing I could never do. In fact our children have even made the comment that I am better with them than I was with them. Then I found out that the investagator went to the wrong house and left a note and her card on the front door saying the I needed to respond by the end of the day. So how , JUST HOW could I respone to something if I was never informed.
We have done nothing but give these kids a safe and loving home. We have made our home one of letting everyone in that needed to be thier for the kid.
The parent moved back to the area so they could do services here so they could get thier kids back. I could not believe they were going to take them all the way east. That would of really messed up what the parent were doing.
The botton line is my husbund and I had an unfounded cps case in the early 1990’s and this was being held over our heads. Even though we have been exceptanal relitive provider for these kids we have been falsely accused . We love these .kids. I cannot believe that this has happened. we are hard workers and love our grandkids. We would never have hurt them or put them in danger.
But the kicker is the person that investigated this went to the daycare and yes found bruses but they were all explainable. Even in the daycare eyes.The director stated that she or her workers have never had any reason to suscept anything. The kids were well cared for and have improved 150% in 11mo. She could not believe that this was being done to us. With everyone knowing that if the parents could not get the kids back we wanted to adopt them.
I really could not believe all the hoops that we have gone through in the past year. We have done everything so we could keep them and now this. Even when they wanted us to get licensed they said because of what had happened in our extended familys past that they would not do it unless it was with limitations. Then they proceeded to threaten us by saying the I could loose my nursing license if we persuded it. We have done everything they asked and had nothing but greef. Now we don’t even have our grandkids. I feel as if my heart has ripped out. First I want our grandkids back and then our name cleared.

I need a lawyer to help me clear my name…if only someone would stop and read the information they would see that what I am telling them is true and what DSS is doing is keeping a child. He has been taken out of the first home due to abuse there not me! They said I medically neglected him and emotionally abused him…however the emergency order accused me of drug abuse and munchhausens by proxy which have all been proven false and they keep coming up with other things…the last appeal I was told that since my child was in foster care they couldnt change the disposition of founded child abuse level 1(which is the most severe).

I need a defense lawyer in Oregon that will take on Washington county, Cps has been trying to get my kids in their custody for 3 months but have no evidence of neglect or abuse. My 14 year old got raped in december and because of that she has gotten HPV We went to a doctor that wrote a false report after pretty much calling my daughter a whore for getting raped, Nathan rodger with WCCPC hasn’t returned my calls & when he does he has a different story! I am a grandmother of 7. The three youngest, all girls, were taken from my daughter and placed temporarily in my custody, the two youngest in April and the oldest of the three in May. I was lied to by the cps workers, now I know, and all three of the girls were taken from here on Monday, September 8th. The girls were well taken care of here and my daughter has been doing everything she can to comply with cps orders. Now the girls are with strangers and we don’t know where. We need help, and we need it asap!!! This just can’t keep happening. Cps has too much unchecked power. I am in WI and I will be meeting with a state resprentative today but I still need to know what to do to reverse this!!

My son and his wife need serious help now! Their 2 month baby has been placed with emergency foster care after they have been accused falsly. The intake worker directly violated several laws and retaliated against them when I questioned her. She was and is completely out of control. Please help. We are in Wisconsin and the county is Monroe. There is no abuse and the accusations are that they verbally threated to hurt their child and that my son pushed his wife’s purse so she said there is threatened domestic abuse. His wife’s parents just want to break their marriage up and take control of their son so they can continue to get welfare benifits and it is working!!! I cannot believe this is happening.

My name is Sharryl and I’m called Nana by my three beautiful Granddaughters. I’ve recently gotten custody of them as they were removed from their Mothers home living in deplorable conditions. From the outside of the home you would have never known the horrific conditions my angels were living in but the reason I’m truly writing is the fact that they wouldn’t allow my Son (their Father) to have custody because they said he knew about the conditons. They never allowed my Son or I to go into the home. They only brought the children out when we arrived. How were we to know what was happening behind those closed doors. When my Son and I saw the pictures we both started crying and then became very angry. We’ve been through so many emotions during this devastating case. The problem now is that they have now put a case against my Son, trying to prove he knew about the conditions and are also trying to prove me to be a bad person. I don’t understand how they can take two loving people and turn them into horrible people. May God be with us all, but my only intentions are to protect the Children from anymore damage. They just need to be loved. I really need a lawyer to fight CPS and keep them away from my Granddaughters and the foster home they want to send them to which is pure evil.

On June 3, 2008, a CPS worker contacted me about an alleged sexual abuse between one of my daughters and my husband (her step-father) The CPS worker informed me to tell my husband that he could not be at our home while the girls are there. On June 5, 2008, the assessment took place with my two daughters and I. The CPS worker, sherriff and the interviewer told me that as a safety plan that my husband could not be in our home while the girls were there. I then asked them why I had to be the one to tell him that he could not come home and why they are not the ones to contact him and tell him. They just looked at each other and didn’t give me an answer. It took almost three months for my husband to be contacted and interviewed by Child Welfare and the sherriffs department about any of this alleged crime. He has only been hearing through me. He did call the sherriff that was there during the assessment with the girls the day after the assessment was made and the sherriff told him that he would call him on a certain day. He never called. The CPS has only visited our home once with me, to where the CPS Worker made a comment that “she cannot interview my husband until he is read his rights” (reminding you that he was not contacted for 3 months from anyone, but me and the other time with my children during this whole time. As of now, it has been about 2 months since any of us has been contacted via CPS, sherriff, courts, etc.Our family is under a lot of stress, financial distress and this is really tearing our family apart. There is a lot more, but I am trying to shorten this up.

My husband and i have only been dealing with cps and riley hospital for about 3 months now, and i would like to thank everyone who plays a role in stopping the unfair acts of these people. We despirately need a criminal and defense attorney. Our rights have been violated, we have been pushed around long enough. Our 6th amendment has been violated, by a detective, tainting the jury pool, and slandering our names in the local paper and on the internet. How are we supposed to have a fair trial when everyone is jumping at the lies printed in this paper. People need to get their facts straight and know just how much these people are lying about. we would like to make sure that this stops here! just a little bit of what we feel will buid our case: violation of 4th, 14th, and 6th amendments, the judge failed to place a gag/ protective order, to protect our rights, loss of wages, loss of family love and support, violation of kinship care rights, discrimination on behalf of my parents, for my mothers PAST medical history and the fact that they live in a †trailer†. Cps violated a court order, stating that our daughter should be placed with my parents, instead, they placed her in foster care for 2 months until we filed motion to show cause, possibily fraud? How about forgery, yes, riley hospital forged my name, stating that i gave verbal permission to do so…I WOULD NEVER give anyone permission to sign my name to anything!!! In despirate need of help in indiana… i cant let them ruin my life…my children mean the world to me and i would never let ANYONE hurt them..i sure cant let the state of indiana…

I divorced a woman who wanted revenge for my leaving her. She threatened, “I will ruin your life and make your children hate you.†She enlisted one of our children in her scheme.
I was accused by my bright, beautiful, dramatic, mentally ill (BPD) daughter of molesting her. My attorneys were confident right up until the verdict that I would be acquitted. They were so confident that they failed to call key witnesses.
The prosecutor lied to the judge in pretrial hearings and to the jury. She intimidated defense witnesses until they were afraid to speak up, making them poor witnesses. She threatened at least two witnesses who ended up not testifying. She hid the mental illness treatment and diagnosis from us.
The jury pool had five (5) people who worked the group before anyone was chosen saying that the prosecutor “wouldn’t have brought him to trial†unless they were certain that he was guilty. All five of them were chosen for the jury. The jury deliberated less than 2 minutes according to an interview by a PI. They stayed out for 30 minutes “so the judge wouldn’t think (they) rushed the decision.â€
I suffered issues of prosecutorial misconduct, judicial misconduct, ineffective counsel and unethical counsel. I was arrested after less than 2 hours of investigation based upon a complaint by my (then)wife who later admitted to perjury.
The chief prosecutor in the case is now a judge in Boone County. The assistant prosecutor is now a chief prosecutor in a different Missouri county. After so long, no one wants to admit their mistakes. This was an issue of politics and vendetta. No one wants to call a spade a spade.
My relatives have spent their life savings on my defense. Now I am in post-conviction legal situations. I have written most of my legal stuff with the assistance of people at the prison law library. I really need a lawyer who is not afraid of the judge and the prosecutor’s office. My public defenders have abandoned me in the courtroom.
I need a pro bono attorney, if possible.

My daughter was taken by CPS out of the hospital 9/10/08. She’s 8 months old and has multiple fractures in her legs. I had no idea her legs were broken and that’s why cps took her from me. She was examined by two pediatricians and I took her to the hospital and they didn’t catch her fractures either. There are medical tests being done, so it may be that she has a condition. I’m a single mom and a student and I can’t afford attorney’s fees. I feel like some of my parental rights have been violated in an effort to protect my daughter. Please help me get my little baby back home.

Ok yesterday two police and a state car pulled into my driveway. I went out side and the police started asking me if I had weapons who was home show us your ID. I complied, I completely had no idea what was going on. Well what was said next about knock me off my feet. The woman says” we have a report that your abusing your wife and molesting your children” It was like a train hit me I could not believe what I was hearing. I cooperated with them fully and they allowed my children to go to there Aunt and uncles house. Now This is a completely false accusation I don’t abuse my wife of Molest my children I love my kids every day and I hug them every day and tell them that . Me and my wife are just sick to are stomach over this. At least there with family and there uncle picked them up at school but I believe that a psycho neighbor that lost his house called and did this to hurt me. We have thought and there is no one else it could be. Now I cant protect my kids like I promised I always would, and they have to go get checked by a doctor and we cant be there with them to calm them and then talk to a psychologist, be for we can have any contact with them. I have not doubt that this will be cleared up and they will find nothing of concern. But what recourse do I have? I told them that it was the neighbor, and who he was. The police ask me questions about him like if I know his marriage was bad and did I know about the fight in his garage.So that makes me think it even more. MY question is this since I told them that he does not like me and I believe that he would do something like this, when they find out it is not true shouldn’t they investigate him based on evidence that he filed a false claim. He ripped apart my family and made my kids go threw all this and Us. I completely understand them getting a call coming over and taking the kids for there protection. I’m glad they let them go with family, but I think it is reprehensible that someone can call just to hurt you and get away with that. I tried to think well maybe there is a mistake or someone misinterpreted something. But No There is no misinterpretation of molesting. So my only conclusion is that someone lied and the only someone that I can think that would do that is my neighbor. Help

I met with the ombudsman officer who inform me of the accusation which stated that I had a chemical dependcey problem yet I have never been to court for it. My children was not remove from me. My daughter commited grandtheft which brought her to the system.

In immediate help. My court appointed lawyer has told me to call the news companies because I am the most innocent person she has ever meet. And CPS cruelly and deliberitly tried to get convictions on innocent people. I have phone conversation recordings, but it is evidence that is immensible in court but you can listen to it. It all started over my 16 year old daughter got caught at 2:30 am in the morning, with a boyfriend that choked her and she is not allowed to see, so she is mad at her father and told the police that she is afraid to come home to her father because he will “kill her”. I’ve been through all the juvenille court proceedings except termination of parental rights, but I appealed the judges last decision to keep two of my four children in foster care. Over in circut court, my court appointed told me that if I continued with the appeal and won that two of my children would be placed back into foster care along with the other two and if I lost it would make things harder for my sister in juvenille court to get custody of my two children who were left in foster care. Basically he said I was facing a no win situation and advised me to withdrawl my appeal. Now I don’t know what to do. Can someone who knows my rights as well as the law in Virginia help! Any advice would truly be appreciated.

My parental rights were terminated a year ago but my husband has not been terminated he has recently has a no contact order the judge granted perment custody to the foster family even when my husband’s parents from Chicago Il step up to the plate down to hiring an attorney out here in Denver.I did everything that was required of that theCPS asked me to do.I’m a Medical Assistant and a student at Everest College fo Surgical Technologist.Is there anything I can do to get my babies back.

I am looking for someone to help me in some kind of way make CPS responsible for the pain they are causing my children and myself. They awarded conservatory ship to my cousin in 2004, she volunteered because that thought that she would receive money, but only foster parents get money that’s where it all started. Since then she has denied me visitation, even when I let CPS know that I was not able to see my children enough. She has one calling her momma and the other caller Aunt. They both are in elementary and attend 2 different schools on different sides of town. The oldest stays at her 80+ year olds parents home until she gets there about 7 when she get there, but quick to put him on punishment because I have called her to make sure she look after his education, but she don’t make time to check it. She shows favoritism to the youngest one, she only tends to the youngest one schooling, no checking the oldest one homework, no contact with the teacher and no contact with me. When they are injured I hear about it from my children or their teachers not the adult, since my children are never available for visit I have to go to their school and visit during lunch. I pay child support and I am unable to see my children. My older son would have been kicked out from school on Thursday because she is to lazy to look in his book bag to see that he need his enrollment papers turned in so I filled them out. My son hygiene is so bad he won’t smile and show his teeth, wears no socks to school. I am steady talking to my sons teachers about his work and what he needs done and when I come over and help him and show her what he needs done she don’t do it, so i have to call her and remind her to make sure he does his work and he still don’t turn it in. Cps have never checked up on my children they just closed the case and left them the raise them selves basically. My children call every different man in her life DADDY. She is more money hungry cause she gets a income tax off of them and child support but she is not right and neither is CPS and I feel that need to make good what they have made bad. My children and I are suffering mentally, physically, emotionally, its unhealthy and I don’t want my child to feel that his is less important than any one else but CPS don’t care they just want to close cases as if they are doing a good deed and help families and they are not. The Child support can’t enforce visitation but they enforce payments. i need help making them resposible.

I am looking for atty so my 12 year old daughter can be represented in orange county california. My 12 year old has been in therapy for over a year now and made false allegation that lead to a restraining order and months in court with CPD. Her therapist and her would like to go to court to start reconsiliation but we don’t know how to go about this. Any info you could provide would be great.

Well they interviewed the children last Wednesday and waited 3 hours to get ahold of us and say that they are done. I ask can we go get are children CPS Michelle Sparks said no I have to hear from the police saying that there done with there investigation. So after many phone calls I had a officer call her and tell her there done they have nothing. That was 12:30 Tues. I could not get a hold of Michelle Sparks until 2:30PM and when asked if she talked to the officer she said no, I asked have you checked your phone messengers and she said ” No I havent had time and I have to go to a meeting right now so Ill check them before the end of my day” I asked when is the end of your day. 7:00pm. She never called. I didn’t get a hold of her again till Friday and we got are children back,but because me and my wife have argued they say that they are opening a case on the domestic violence. But it does not end there.
Yesterday CPS called, and said has anyone ever walked into your house and saw Amanda naked on your bed. I said NO. She said does anyone just walk into your house, I said Nathan the kid down the street has, she said no I mean an adult, a friend a neighbor any one. I said no. She said would you remember if someone did, would it stand out. I said yeah, I don’t walk into other peoples houses with out knocking, and I don’t have anyone that walks into my house that way. She said Ok I have another question. Does Amanda ever do anything masturbatory when she get upset or angry. The only thing I could think of was up till about 7 months ago she would do what we call the blanket role it was a joke. She has don’t it since she was about a year old she would lay on her stomach and put her blanket down by her stomach and rock side to side. She asked if she was she rubbing it on her genitals? I said No just down by her stomach. But to be honest I have know Idea where she was rubbing I didn’t ask her, I did not want to make a big deal out of it. Then she said that the girls did say that they had gotten scared when we yelled at each other but I think that was the last fight we got in and she was going to send some stuff on domestic violence and said that maybe the girls should get some counseling. I said that they get a lot of love around here and if anything would mess with there mind it was this stuff were going through . I asked if she had looked into the person that made the false accusations, and I think she said thats part of why I’m asking. So I was a little sick to my stomach but I thought well since she did not ask us this before then she is probably going back to the person she got the call from and asking more questions,and thats good. Because she told us that the molestation investigation was over last Wednesday. But then she called Jessica our oldest daughter this evening and asked her all the same questions about Amanda, and told her she was not allowed to leave are Grandson alone with us. What is going on. Should I get a attorney? Do they have a right to tell her that. Can she get her baby taken away if she leave him with us? I mean we watch him when they go out or if she has to work and there is no one to watch him. I don’t know what is going on but I’m getting scared again. It seems like there targeting Amanda. Maybe Im just getting overly worried, but I don’t trust thees people, and I don’t like it that they are messing with are daughter and our Grandson. Steve Thompson

(Salem News). Do you know a paralegal? Have you contacted DHS anonymously and found about if there are any Grandparent/Kinship Support Groups?
As you know, you are entitled to *consideration* to foster ( keep ) your blood relatives.
You will do better, ( I believe) if you work in conjunction with a GP Support Group. My state ( East Coast) has them.
Have you contacted your Local Supervisor of DHS and the politician who is their head??
Every study published confirms that kids do far better when placed with family, rather than strangers.
Please do and let us know how you fared. We all learn from successful techniques.
It seems that you have done all the right things.

GET AND ATTORNEY ASAP!!! They are fishing for info. And yes, they will probably take the grandson away from your daughter if she leaves him alone with you. They said the investigation ws over BUT they did not say what their findings are?
And they said the police investigation was still going on, so they are probably trying to find enough to charge you with molesting this baby.
This can go on for months and months. It is only likely this will get far worse if you don’t step up with an attorney right now.

I have had my oldest Daughter back a year August 21, 2007. I recieved the descoveries, and just got the balance of the transcripts on August 23, 2008 from a court appointed appealent lawyer from Crescant City, who mailed me a box of court papers, and a letter stating that he didn’t want to go any further with the appeal, stating that all I could appeal was visitation, but I want to apeal all of it, I am so confussed, Solano, County Child Protective Services took my daughter from the hospital, and I admitted her, They already had a juvenille case number on her admittence paper, There were 3 judges, 5 social workers and 4 lawyers during this process. and not once did I get to address
any of the allegations. Yet they have me on the Department of Justic as a Child abuser
I recently read a Dr.s perscription that my daughters wheel chair needed to be replaced because the one CPS got Amanda was causing so much pressure it was causing her initial menegicle closure to leek, but Thereasa, the Spina Bifida Clinic Nurse Practistioner was reporting that it was an ulcer, and that she had osstiopirossis. When actually in the 16 yrs. the Federal goverment has been buying her wheel chairs has never had a back that was ordered by Claire Kelly SWII. I need a lawyer but I have no Idea what kind I have been looking and referred to but no one takes this kind of case. Not only do I want to sue them I want to charged them with medical neglect, violating her disability rights, not being able to go to court because her lawyer said the social worker said there was no wheelchair transportaion.

You might do well to branch out and find an advocate for disabled persons (in addition to working with people fighting CPS in general).
There may be laws for the disabled that CPS is violating here.
You might be able to “attack” this in two directions.

Wow, Iam so glad to hear the sucess stories. I got goose bumps. I have regained some hope in my case.
I need help finding an aggressive lawyer to help me fight my my sons rights & safety. my son and i are victims of the corruption in CPS social system. my son is a good person i would hate to see him be changed by the corruption. He is being discreadited by his mother & social worker making alligations of lieing. my ex boyfriend has history of domestic violence with all evidence subitted cps left my 10 month with him and they disappeared. i have no idea where they are. he has history of alcohol abuse,no drivers license and he tried to attack my 11 yr old in a jan. 08 incident. i need to find my daughter here in tx and return to ny where i live.

please help i cant afford a lawyer but about 1 year ago i now know i was force into signing my rights over during a tpr. My son has been adopted and I want him back the adoption has only been finalized within the last 4 months. I have currently at home a 6 month old, 5 yr old and a 8 yr old they took two of my children now 2 and 3. my 3 yr old had medical issues from heart stuff. and my now 2 yr old was taken from the hospital i never had a chance. but i am aloud to have my other 3 children. please help i will give more info.

hey. i read your problem. i am in somewhat of the same situation. on this website, look in the “document library”. print off the rescind of signature page (it’s the 2nd link). use that to legally remove your name from wwhen you had signed away your rights during the tpr. it’s VERY IMPORTANT to get it notarized asap. For my situation, i could not afford a lawyer, and no attorney is honestly willing to go against their own state. I wrote my state senator. I sent him every bit of evidence i had, documented in my notebook. He sent out papers to the DA and the courts, not to mention, he raised hell with DHS. Another piece of advice: look on http://www.fbi.gov. Look up Title 18, U.S.C., section 242 and Title 18, U.S.C., section 1001. These are federal civil rights in which CPS violates in every case. Send documentation (every bit) along with these federal violations to your senator and see where it goes. It’s election year. Make the most of it. They want your vote. They will do what they can for it.

please please someone help me!!! dfcs in gwinett county has abducted both of my angels with no reason other than i am a single mom trying to take care of my boys by driving a truck and leaving them in the care of their great grand mother. she is in great health and has been involved in their lives since they were born. i was laughed at, accused, taunted, and put down during the hearing by not only dfcs, but also the child advocate and the judge. they all feel that i should be a stay at home mom, but how can i when the bills need to be paid and my boys need to eat??? my public lawyer did nothing to stop dfcs witness or case worker from lying! i was charged with deprivation that could not be proved beyond doubt but still dont have my loves with me! i cant even see them until i pass a psych eval along with my grandmother. i make good money driving, just bought a house, and was told that in order to get my kids back i need to find another job, a bigger house, and put them in child care. please someone help me defend my boys civil rights as well as mine!

From the looks of your post, you are being discriminated against by reason of gender (I am not an attorney but I work in law).
I am a firm believer in branching out of the “CPS” syndrome and looking to other laws to assist your case.
Quite frankly, I would try contacting NOW (National Organization for Women) and see if they might be able to point you in the right direction.

Someone please tell me if there are any good attorneys that can help us get my niece and nephews out of foster care. The CPS workers are telling us that it could take 3-4 weeks before they complete their investigation and relative placement assessment. In the meantime, their are five children separated from each other and their parents who are scared and want to come home. The social workers aren’t looking out for the best interest of the children because they have too many cases to even return a phone call. They basically told me that they will not complete the home evaluation until right before the next hearing date. By then, these poor babies will be in foster care for 6 weeks.

About 6 months ago me and my daughters mom got in a argument, during this argument she threw the phone across the house and it landed in the sink. her 7yr old was sleeping upstairs while my 18month old (12 months at the time) was downstairs with us. the 7yr old woke up and heard us fighting and the baby crying. the next day she went to school and told her teacher the baby was thrown like a football across the house (she was upstairs the hole time). cps came that day with a cop and checked the baby and looked at the house.
since 5 months has passed and they called again and showed up at my house to “close the case” my house was a mess and they made some remarks about it. and then the next day they called again to get more of the story. im really scared they are going to try and take my daughter away, i will NOT let that happen no matter what. she is my life.
if anyone can help me with this i would be forever in your debt

We have hired a lawyer for our Texas CPS battle and it has been 65 days today, and our little girl is still in a foster home. We are obviously displeased with our counsel, I would appreciate a call or email of someone that can really help, we have some financial limitations, but have a fair amount to hire another attorney with hopefully the best outcome, my daughter’s return home.

In NY State, a CPS investigation is mandated by statute to be closed within 60 days.
Do not sign anything -i.e. a service or safety plan.
Clr=ean the house. Take the children to your private doctor for check ups.
Say as little as possible.
Try calling the NY State Bar Association to look for an attorney-they may have a pro bono list available.
