Child Protective Services, CPS, has devastated and destroyed hundreds of thousands of families in America during the last thirty years leaving a trail of broken hearts, broken dreams, and shattered childhoods.
Rather than helping families, government agents have used unconstitutional laws in Juvenile Court to rip children away from their loving parents, break asunder God-given, natural, parent-child bonds, and adopt the children of the grieving out to others who profit financially with large monthly adoption subsidy payments.
Child Protective Services must be stopped! The law that started this, CAPTA, must be repealed. We must work tirelessly to inform the public of this very dangerous travesty of justice. We must keep faith knowing that if there is a God, there is an answer and a way to end this heartache.
Child Protective Services Agents - please come to your senses! Family destruction on false or trivial grounds is wrong, reprehensible, and inhumane.
Fosterers - be aware that for the money you get you are holding much-loved children away from their grieving families while the parents are forced to perform a service plan that is anything but a service to them. I call this hostage holding for the government. This is not kindness - to help misguided government agents destroy family relationships and break loving bonds.
CPS workers and fosterers - I ask that you now let the children of the innocent return to their homes where they are truly valued, adored, and loved by the parents God gave them.
Family rights are God-given rights. And they should not be ignored or postponed. Every moment these loving parents and children spend separated from one another is a torment beyond what anyone should ever have to bear.
It is unworthy of human dignity to allow this terrorism and torture of families to go on without saying something, speaking out, and trying to make a change.

I’m here to apologize for not posting any articles yet this month. I’m taking a vacation from the site - and yes, you can call it a sanity break. The reason is that though I’m adamant about this issue - fighting CPS injustice - I sometimes get overwhelmed by the enormity of the problem. Hearing all these traumatic and sad stories day after day takes a toll on me, and I frequently must retreat, and do other things to keep myself from heartbreak.
I love you all very much, and care about you and your children, and want to see families together, not separated. For this reason I started this site - to put everything I know about fighting CPS out here where people can do their own research and come to their own conclusions about what to do. Often I get passionate pleas for help via email, and I don’t know what to do with them. I already wrote everything I could on this site, and I must ask you to read the site. I couldn’t possibly help everyone individually - I get about 700 visitors daily (as of the last time I looked at the stats for this site). If I were to answer all emails I’d not have time for anything else in my life. Please accept my most sincere apology if you wrote to me and didn’t get an answer. It is not humanly possible to answer everyone. Fight CPS isn’t an organization - it is just the humble effort of one concerned citizen.
While I’ve been gone from the site, I’ve still been reading the comments. I may have missed a few. I ask that anyone who comes here and reads comments - to let me know if you see anything that shouldn’t be there, like spam, or arguments. I need to take care of those things even if I’m taking a sanity break vacation from the site. There’s a webmaster link at the bottom of each page.
I will be back soon to share more articles about CPS. I appreciate that so many dedicated people are sharing their stories and help in the comments to each article, and in the guestbook. Don’t forget we have an awesome message board here. There are others helping to maintain that effort. It is really the more appropriate place for people to post requests for help/advice/ideas. (Remember we are not lawyers and don’t give “legal” advice… this is just a grassroots group of concerned citizens.)
One more thing - I am saddened to read Diando’s comment about having a social worker threaten her due to things she’s written on this site. Please, everyone - remember that you do not have to post with your real name. You’re welcome to hide your name and details.

Women, the most important take-home message is that you should NOT divulge personal information to CPS workers.
And do not use your real name on this site.
Men here also should not get too heated nor confront CPS workers.

Caseworkers are simply employees hired to do the bidding of your state and county.
CPS IS A JOBS-CREATION SCHEME.
However, parents should not use illegal substances, nor should they threaten, scream or insult the workers.
Linda, if California tames CPS any state can.
But, folks the real battle is centered in our Heartland. I urge folks in the Heartland states, especially to get to know the others in your states who are questioning CPS’ practices.
Kin caregivers, be strong. And parents please remember you are only given one child at a time. ( usually )
And that they are gifts on loan to us.

Are you a registered member on the message board of this site? If you are, please send me a private message. I am a paralegal in NYC who is quite interested in the injustice of Social Service and Family Court Act laws. I have previously and remain a pro bon advocate for another area of family law in which rights are trampled.
I have been involved in that arena for quite nearly a decade.

No, I am not a registered member.
I am an older woman who could have gone to Law School in the 70’s. Good LSAT scores.
There are advocates in a number of states who are quite experienced and who do know not only the law, but the customs of the county’s Family Court industry
Email yr addy thru this forum and I will see if I can direct you to either an organization or a person living within the state. Alternatively you can indicate yr state.
NY has http://www.cwop.org
Illinois has
familydefensecenter.net ( Attorney headed).
The CPS and Family Court industry are powerful entities within the US. Attorneys, of course, get much of their caseload through Family Law.
My advice ( which is usually just referrrals) pertain to what I have personally seen.

thank you linda and all the parents out there that are going through a horrable ordeal with the system i live in pa and 2 yrs ago my daughter was stolen from me returned in 2 months i sued the case worker and the county i lived in i wrote messages when i was going through the pain stacking long days and want every parent out there to keep fighting and grandparent i settled out of court for 125,000 barley enough to pay the legal fees and all other cost that you exhaust going threw legal kidnapping is what i would like to call it the pain never goes away my daughter was only a year old when they took her from me and my county tried very hard to sweep it under the rug its a long story but keep faith in god and i hope my journey was not in vein i hope it has brought some changes and i want everyone to know not to give up and linda i understand the mental break i settled my suite in april and still have trouble talking about it the money wasnt an issue i wanted them to admit they where wrong which i received a very brief appoligy from the county commisioners office again doesnt take the pain away knowing that the caseworker was sued and he is still working in the same county and has not lost his job makes me angry to say the least he has several other cases pending against him now so god willing he can find a job that doesnt deal with children since he stated he never held his own son when he was 6months old while my daughter was in captivity may god bless every single one of you and please dont give them power take it back my heart and prays go out to all of you

CPS/DHS has stooped to a new level.. They have now printed postings off of this website and used them against a parent in court..
Everyone needs to know that we have now lost our Freedom of Speech, and be careful what you post while going to court…

this sounds like an outstanding website that u have made to benefit parents who are going thru such rough times and today is the first day i have ever got on but i can truely say that i am looking forward to seeking advice….i have 3 little girls that have been taken from me and my heart is broke in half right now trying to go on day by day without them they are only 3,2,and 1 and they need their momma and need to be at home in their own beds…if anyone can offer advice or tell me how to go about dealing with this, i would definitely appreciate it!!!!

Maggie I wish you could have been my lawyer these laywers in Desmoines Iowa are a joke they are scared of their own shadow and these Judges here takes bribes i tried to sue DHS but attorney general Charlies Phillips keeps dismissing my case because he knows that DHS is lieing and I have the evidence and proof and he wants to hide it from the courts Mr Phillips has violatined my rights.

Please pray for me; I have found out that
the counselor that social worker has given
me. I feel that they think that I have been
brainwash by mormons. The counselors
are not interest in listening about spiritually
experiences of abuse from my husband.
Which has been making me feel depress and angry at them. I just want to healed for my spiritually development and support from them. I feel that I would rather go to my bishop to help me fight the cps and help me with my family heal from violence.
I just I want see Jesus Christ and God in the temples.

My daughters were returned home to me about the back way after two years of captivity . I had filed a federal law suit in Sacramento,CA ,currently at pro se status . I am searching for an attorney I could send my story to who would consider helping me with this case in what ever capacity possible .Due to time limits I was not able to file in State Court . I am not suing to gain any of the taxpayers money , anything what maybe gained (less the attorney fees) I will return back to the other parents and children under attack by this other wordly system.
