I have been working with Buncombe County DSS in NC. I was transfered to in home services in February after I was accused of putting my daughter in the middle of a nasty custody battle. Also because I refused to sit in a staffing meeting with a man who was verbally, and sexually abuse. He was convicted of assaulting me after I was trying to leave a bad situation almost 8 years ago. The man who has 4 assaults on a female resisiting arrest and has a criminal charge pending of child abuse on another child in another county who does not belong to me. He also has other extensive charges pending in Haywood County of violating a 50B domestic violence restraining order, communicating threats, and 2 damages to personal property charges. Several different women have sought restraining orders against this man. Because I refuse to let my daughter be another victim I am now being taken to court to have my daughter taken because they say it is causing emotional problems for her. I have completed all but one thing on their case management plan and I am in the process of completing the last task Most of the services they have recommended I had already set up before they became involved. They are now accusing the therapist of being biased and unethical even though she was working in the school system and has a excellent record of dealing with children and many years experience. The social worker is rude makes false statements and I was served these papers after they found out I was suing them, and another mother is suing them after it was reported to them in Oct. 2007 that this man was abusing the children because I told them myself!!!!!! The austic child came back from a visit with his father black and blue and also told his therapist who is running for a important public office in January 2008 and never contacted that mother. Communism is alive in Buncombe County. I have dealt with threats, and continued harassment from this department anyone else out there who is dealing with this department better have a attorney waiting as soon as they hit your doorstep ans be ready to sue!

my suggestion is this we need to inform all parents of their rights before and after CPS comes into their lives. PREFERRABLY before go to http://www.connecticutdcfwatch.com lets get as many of these free ahndbooks published and given out as soon as possible. secondly lets organize like the hispanics and latinos did stage a protest all across the country from SEA TO SHINING SEA!!!!! this is our country not the enity of CPS. this is the UNITED states of AMERICA we bulit this country we pay their paychecks. We have A right to be innocent until proven guilty. Not an ASSUMED “RISK”. this is where we all have been mislead not only do they violate our rights but that of our children as well. we all should go the the county manager office and put in complaints to the board of supervisors, of our county, the more complaints that they have against CPS, the more work they have to do. The county managers will have nothing esle but to handle the case this will put fire on them.

The Cps have a hard time respecting me as a LDS wife who is married to the step-father. They want force into a divorce when most LDS are against
it! Marriage problems need to resolve
first and it time to let the family be responsible. I know that I lose the child within a month by now.

I am SO exhausted from researching CPS and doing their job for them that I am physically sick. My husband was recently accused of molesting my 7 year old daughter. The worst part is, that I KNOW the allegation is false. He is now facing criminal charges. And, in trying to defend him, I have lost custody of my daughter. I am a loss as to what to do. We tried playing the game by CPS rules and cooperated with them. Assuming that the truth would be known. But, all it did was destroy our entire lives. I am torn!

The Department of Social services is corupt. The job is not to re-unite the family unit. They put down faulse alligations out of context and state they are true with no facts included. I am a mother who is in appeal for i was not allowed due process of my civil rights. Something deffinatly needs to be addressed here. The social services need to pay for what they do by breaking the law and what they don’t do accourding to law. They children do suffer and do not understand what is happening. It is unjust for a juvinile court of law not to allow due process. I am a innocent mom and have not seen my two children for two years now because of the injustice in our state. I would like to let people know to Appeal if nessasary and sue. I is our right to be treated fair in a court of law including any agency even the dss of ruining family unites.

It is clear that the DSS agency is trying to cover up and hide things from the Coleman family. They do not have the right at all whatsoever to subject them to these terms. On what basis do these scumbags have to terminate their parental rights for caring about their treatment in foster care? Isn’t it ironic that they are being charged for physical abuse, yet they are being abused in foster care? Seems a bit hypocritical, huh?

Since I’ve read this story about the Colemans, I have not slept soundly. I won’t until I help it to make national news. This outrages me and makes me utterly sick. I hope to be known to DSS as their biggest enemy. I hope that when every agency knows my name, they’ll quiver in their boots and get sick to their stomachs because they’ll know I’ll raise the roof bring justice. I will be known shortly, as I’ve already started writing a press release to be placed on the top fifty news sites online for media to pick. I would truly hope that some of you here would help contribute with some quotes of outrage–extreme outrage! Linda, site owner of Fight CPS, could you please participate? I feel it will give your site more coverage, as well as more weight to this story. Thanks to anyone who supports my cause. This family needs help, and they deserve a nice, huge settlement. What they are doing is clearly wrong, and I hope they’ve saved all of their past evidence of pictures and videos as well as that stupid letter composed by DSS. I want to rake these jerks over some hot, burning, scortching,fiery coals, and I won’t sleep until it is done! Any takers?
