My 14 year old son has lived with my older sister, since he was 1. I’ve always been a part of his life, been involved on a daily basis etc. I have two other sons. A 20 year old, who is starting college this semester and a 16 year old who is still in high school.
In July 2011, my 14 year old stayed and visited me for 2 weeks. Before he left my sister and I made plans to have him move in with me in December 2011. I was living in a trailer too small to accommodate us all so my goal was to find and rent a home for us all to live.
In September, 2011 my sister developed severe health issues and had to bring him earlier than planned, in October instead of December. I had not found a house to rent yet. My other sister agreed that he could stay with her until I found a place.
When he got here, I enrolled him in school, got him on my health insurance etc. What I didn’t know was that the sister he was now staying with had an open DHS case and that DHS had custody of her son. When her worker discovered my son was staying there, she came to my house and asked me why he wasn’t with me… and a mess full of other questions. She were rude. I explained that I was trying to find a place to rent and that he was only there temporarily.
2 days later, they removed him from my sister’s home without telling me, and placed him into a foster care home. This just happened to be on a three day weekend. Monday morning I was there at the office, insisting that he could live with me even though it’d be a little tight; it was a clean, safe and stable home.
The worker I talked to that day told me there was nothing I could do except wait for my court date, and go to court. She gave me a copy of the ‘protective custody order’ and it is full of lies and things the worker has twisted and ‘assumed.’ It makes me out to be an unfit mother who abandoned her son, and can’t/won’t provide proper care for him.
I haven’t talked to my son in 2 weeks, I have no idea where he is, and the worker won’t return any of my phone calls to arrange visitation. I’ve left many messages, to no avail. I’ve talked to her supervisor who assured me that she would see to it that I got to see my son, and it’s now been 5 days and I can’t get anyone to talk to me.
I have been doing research on the internet, and keeping all my facts written down.
I cannot afford an attorney, and need help quick.
My first court date is 12-1-11. It’s the first one where they will ask me if I want a court appointed attorney. In the 20 years of having kids, I have never had a complaint from DHS or anyone. I’ve never been arrested for anything, ever.

The biggest question I have is: Have I been Charged with a crime? What legal right do they have to keep my son from me? Can I stop this right now somehow?

Hi i am looking for someone to help me or tell me what i need to do,on a case with cps when i was a foster parent. i was false accused of things that was not true . i ask for a administrative hearing an was granted one about 3 years later.they sent me a letter about a week before they told me to come to Austin .when i got there they had all those lies ,did not have a lawyer because i did’t have anything to hide .I got a letter about 3 weeks later of my finding ,they place my name on the DFPS ‘ Central Registry. i ask for a appeal so i can have a lawyer and my wittiness ,i was not granted one so i can’t get a job ,i ‘ve being working in the mental health field for 30+ years ,never had no trouble.love helping people . i just need to proved that the finding they have on me is not true.so if there someone can help me please contact me at my email lizpeter5528-at-gmail.com

I have been dealing with being without my children and my wife for almost a full year now. My blog listed above explains my situation in detail. My trial has yet to be heard in court. Every story and detail on this entire website precisely mimics exactly what CPS/DFS has done to my family and I. My wife and i had a wonderful relationship and love our children very much. I am a skilled writer and am becoming more accomplished as such all the time. I further vow that upon my winning in court I will begin the journey to become a lawyer myself and fight for families who have undergone these grave injustices. Being that I live in the 2nd richest county in the U.S and only 30 minutes from Washington,D.C. my case has the potential to blow the lid off the sickening actions of this corrupted system. I am a fighter and have no plans to go down without a fight. I am going on 33 years old and have never been charged with even a misdemeanor let alone anything as serious as child abuse. My case is very unique as it involves discrimination based on marital status as well as disability. I am no mindless follower without a voice. Quite the contrary. God Bless all who have gone through these travesties and those who do in the future and are in the present.

frist off i like to say i really feel sorry for all of you.im seeing frist hand how
Corrupted & Twisted cps dyfs really is.any way im a 50 year old father not in great health.my douther is 12 years old was illegally abducted by cps.i knew we had our child late in life so i did spend every sec i could with her.we are very close only had 6 years to go that was my goal to see her trun 18 i may yet but now were in a awful situation.she is very sad lil girl just wants to come home,the system don’t even care its crazy how power and money can do such a thing.and you just cant win im trying my best thou.ill never give up.well anyway i can go on and on,but they said keep this short beside im looking for someone to help me write a tort case so i can maybe stop some of there lieing and. well anything better then doing nothing.good luck to all. and god bless you. oh and by the way they took her because they say me and my wife are unfit to home school her.that maybe so but. we did nothing so wrong to have her kidd napped like she was.

I was also wondering if sending a letter to the judge may help. With no due process, it’s very hard to dispute any of the lies made by CPS in court.
My 6 year old was taken from me about 8 wks ago because I reached out for help after my son exhibited some strange sexual behaviors 2 1/2 yrs ago. The case was closed when my son didn’t disclose anything. I had 50/50 custody with my ex husband. My son ended up telling his pediatrician about his Dad beating up his paramour. He was told God would punish him if he told anyone. He also stated he was touched on 1 occasion by his Dad. I didn’t ask details, I called CPS hoping they would not make him go back to Dads till this was sorted out. They decided this was a custody dispute when knew we had a modification hearing coming up. Anyway’s I am accused of coaching my son and my ex is accused of sexual abuse as well as other things. They took him one day after myself and a family member on my behalf called DCF and threatened to make a formal complaint because of how they were handling everything. They told me it’s protocol to remove him if 2 calls were made the same day. Later I found out about the coaching allegation. The judge would not agree to having him placed back with me or his grandparents because they still don’t know where the abuse is coming from, even though my son has said where. If they agree there was abuse doesn’t that cancel out the coaching automatically? I have a private attorney, but he hasn’t accomplished anything yet. The court just follows CPS’s recommendations blindly it seems. I have a pretrial hearing in a week and was hoping a letter would give the judge more info, truthful info and get my little boy home. This is ridiculous, I reached for help about the other household he stays in, and they took him from both. So now I’m jumping through the hoops they tell me to. It does state reunification is the goal, but obviously you can’t believe anything they say. I’m still shocked about the power they have and their ability to trample on our rights. Even a murderer gets a bond and is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, but they can take a child without proof or evidence and not give due process.
