oh my i’ll say! i was at church and a man and his family were talking about how they were in the process of adopting a child, whom cps took bc the mother was an uncaring person who hasnt made any efforts to see her child, and has a possible mental problem. i was listening intently then i realized, they could be talking about me! dss could be feeding these good people pure lies like they do in court to slander the people they are victimizing!

Roger, a lot of Christians understand that CPS is corrupt, but many others are brainwashed by the system and believe CPS is good. Unless a person has direct experience with CPS they usually don’t know how bad it is.

the one thing that really bothers me about all of this is the lack of interest displayed by the Christian organizations in Michigan do they not care about our foster children?

This truly sickens me! There is nothing more I can say right now iam 2 disturbed by what I have just read! Cps will put a child in danger before they would ever admit they were wrong! Something needs 2 be done!

I can see that maybe it could have been an accident (although I am a nervous nelly and would never swing my baby like that) but I would have totally been freaking out and rushing her to emergency after a fall like that or at the very least calling someone for advise. My very last thought would have been what anyone thought of me at the moment because I would kicking myself for something so stupid happening and more concerned with my baby’s well being. Anyone with common sense and no medical background knows when someone hits their head you don’t let them sleep because of possibility of a concussion let alone a baby (ever heard of shaken baby syndrome!!!!!!) That is where I fault her actions and question what kind of “parent” she was or would have been.

my son was in foster care because of a doctor that hates bi-polars(I am bi-polar.) My son was in foster care 10 months and the foster mother made 3 attempts to kill him. she took him off his apnea monitor at 1 month old, took him off the nebulizer, and beat his head repeatedly in to a wall. Each time she blamed it on me to be able to keep my son, and cys believed her.

I am appalled by the immediate response to convict this women by the very little information given in the article. To wish anyone to be barren is vindictive and disturbing. Everyone reading this article is hearing the grandfathers angry words and assuming them to be all true. Could it be that this woman made a mistake that sadly cost a child her life, I know as a parent myself I have made decisions whether to take my child to emergency because a bump on the head or other injury. Also how many 2 year old do you know that have scratches and bruises….almost all of them unless they live in a padded room. Maybe we should take a step back and really think that this was a tragic accident and what this woman and her family will are going through for the rest of their lives. This sounds like a overzealous prosecutor and a victim’s family looking to punish someone for a tragic accident. Why is it that we as a society have to have someone to blame for everything. Sometimes accidents or mistakes are happen/made….we after all are only human.
My heart goes out to child and her all of her family and foster family.

I fought for my children with a ferocity that was like a bear protecting her cubs, this further enraged KY DCPS to the point that they held Custodial Hearings without me and took them anyway.

michigan foster care system is really messed up am fighting them now for my daughter and am not giving up if they think they can get away with it belive me they will if they think you dont know what to do and just sit back and dont fight for your kids and dont no were to turn and ask for help they will contiue do take kids from ggod loving homes and place them with greedy money hungry people like poole not me am a mother who is fighting like hell for mine………….

im glad that the baby is in a better place because she dont have 2 feel pain i was a foster child and 2 tell u the truth the system messed over me and my three brother foster care is wroster because the foster parents the angency put us with dose children wrong and dont do what they are supose to do and its very sad to hear this im now 18 and i cnt wait to leave here my prays go out to allisons family.
