There is a current CPS investigation on two parents. The girls involved are not runaways but went to CPS for help, voluntarily checked into a shelter, and were ret’d to the parents they want to leave….mom ret’d to live with dad and he is the abuser…mom can’t seem to leave him and keeps going back. We have audio, written accounts, etc. and CPS will not move fast enough, despite us group of homeschooling parents whom the girls have known for years and want to live with in safety, pushing them. CPS supervisor messed up and we are upset. We want the girls out and away, they are 14 year old twins, and they want out too. Can you help us?

A city inspector was required to come and inspect the furnace for our land lady and when he came, unannounced, he stated our house was dirty and a pig-sty. We informed him that it had been a long weekend with sick kids and my husband and I had been sick, we were cleaning that day. He said okay he’d be back in 2 hours, he was not, but he did report us to CPS. Since then he has re inspected and okayed us. CPS however, is investigating and refusing to grant us copies of our paperwork, though we requested it. We are denying access to them until a warrant is issued and have been documenting everything. We would appreciate contact with a lawyer on what else we should do. Thank you.

hi…….everyone……….TRY WRITING TO A OBUDSMAN IN YOUR AREA ……………………..they stand up for people that have been fighting due to wrongful things in cps……c.a.s.a………..and stuff…………………if you or anyone else knows anyone who has delt with a c.a.s.a on the case…..turns around and then obtains custody for themselves please let me know ……………….my heart is withj everyone here i know how screwed up things can be!!!!!!!!!!

I need someone who can help me with a case of children being removed from one state to another by CPS in Florida. They were in the care of family and the CPS worker lied to a judge to get them removed from Ohio to Florida where they were split up and placed in foster care with no family to visit or comfort them…. one of the children is autistic and we are very concerned about the long term effects this will have on him.

I have a friend that has had her daughter taken on only accusations. She has piss tested for 5 years 6 x’s a week and never failed one. They tried early on to severe her parental rights and a jury of her peers decided instantly that that was going to happen. They have totally disregarded the child’s mental needs and the child is starting to hurt them self. They want to medicate her. This woman’s own grown well rounded children told the court that their mother was a great mom! CPS said their statement were coached. After 5 yrs. and after 3 different CPS affiliated mental evaluations my friend only problem they could find is SHE IS LIMITED “what the hell is that”? She is smart, polite, educated and even has a degree in psychology or something like that. They have flat out changed the record somewhere too. Please she needs a bull dog attorney that is out to win, not play patty cake like this court ordered attorney did right into CPS’s hands. They are again trying to severe her rights. I believe the child has had something happen to her in their care, and they won’t even let my friend see her child alone EVER!! Please help if you know a great attorney or are one, she has a retainer. She worked for me and I believe in her and in this fight. Thank you to all that can or will help.

I am an Orange County father in need of an attorney to help me fight CPS. I have a strong civil rights case pending concerning wrongful imprisonment but my 2 year old Scarlet will be adopted and my rights terminated in June if I don’t act now. I sure messed up my statement above: the jury trial to sever my friends parental rights. The Jury decided in my friends favor, but they (CPS) persist in ignoring the juries decision.

CPS lied to me all through this three-year ordeal. Nobody informed me of court dates and the one time that I did go, I found out by mistake because they were trying to keep it from me. The judge should have asked me if I wanted representation and more time because this was a life sentence from my children for me but he didn’t. I lost my rights that day, and so did my kids. I’m in the pursuit of happiness. Please help my family.

Hi im writting because my 15 yr old sister in law has an 8 month old son she was on probation and got locked up for missing a p.o meeting nothing major. Well during that that her dad took over becuase her mother is very unstable now when everything was going good for her they came and put her in a residetual and took the baby with CPS now he’s in foster care. Well she gets out on april 21 an the foster parent thought she was keeping her child, Now we think CPS is going to try an keep her son until shes 18 can you please help our family we’ve been through so much these last few moths and if we lose that babyboy for any longer we’re all going to go crazy!!!

Cps took my daughter since 2005 and I did not have any resources to fight via an appeal and texas legal aid did not help with the attorney to appeal. my daughter was 13 th when she end up with cps now she is going to be 16 and has done drugs, ditches school, has older friends and, a foster mother that does not care and sees her as a tool or number for profit. she has 4 more foster kids with her and 2 of her own. now cps it’s trying to take my 14 yr. old son, I have a very good case but i can not defend myself on my own, i need help to fight these abusive, predators and kidnappers who feast on the vulnerable and prey on the fatherless, motherless, and inocent as well.

I need an attorney that has compassion and is really interested in what’s best for the children. I am a single mother with 4 children, 2 children which were taken from my home by CPS- There are a lot of details that I cannot list here for very personal reasons. My house was surrounded with cops, 1 cop accused me of lying to hide 1 of my kids, but in fact my child was in school, just like I said she was. They entered my house with no paperwork-after about 40 minutes, the caseworked finally went outside to her car to get the paperwork and while one of the officers were going over the paperwok with me, the other officers escorted my daughter from my home. I was not allowed any contact with either of my children. I have a childrens victims advocate working with me and my kids and she’s amazed at what has happened and says she doesn’t understand why CPS removed the children. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, if there are any attorney’s in the Raleigh, NC area- please contact me. I am going to go public with my story. I am contacting the News and Observer very soon, but I would rather have legal counsel before I do so. Thanks for listening!

I am in dire need of help. CPS visits me at least everyother week with no leg to stand on and dismiss each visit. Now its just pure hurassement! I am tired! Physically,mentally and finacially! My husband is a truck driver and I am left here to contend to thier b$#% S*^@ myself. I am losing confidence in my self as a woman, wife and mother. HELP !! If anyone knows any sources that can help me keep my sanity in this god forsaking government that we “elect to office” . I am at the end of my quickly freighing rope!

I have been fighting cps for 4 yrs, I need help! I was a victim of domestic violence, had been in 3 abusive relationships over a 10 yr period. I voluntarily placed my 2 kids so i could get away fom my abuser and straighten myself out. I just wanted them to be safe and in a stable environment so i could get my skit together. they gave me no help, I have completed all the services they requested and then some, I have been single for almost 3 yrs, have a good job and am working on financial stability. I have totally changedmy life and now cps is trying to terminate my parental rights, my kids behavior is getting worse since being in foster care, they have my 10 yr old son in the child study and treatment center in tacoma because he is so out of control. I have not had visits or phone or letter contact in 3 yrs! This is killing me and my children, what can i do? Please someone help us?!

I have a situation where my daughter who is 16yrs old…..17yrs old as of 5/08 who filed assault charges against me on 3/1/08. The ironic thing about all of this is that she ran away at 2.30 pm on 3/2/08, so we reported her to local police as a runaway and low and behold……7 hrs after running away, she went to the police station and filed the charge. My biggest problem is that we have a CPS worker who is looking at me, the father with all sorts of accusations. I’m really unsure of where this is going to go, but I do have a good idea from what I have heard about CPS. Do I need a lawyer?

I have been harassed for a few months by a**h*le neighbors about my dogs, and petty HOA violations, too many pets, the dog is too big, etc., I am loud, and not liked by the single people without kids. I have 1 kid, and a neighbor has made a false accusation report of verbal child abuse, because they heard me yelling, I yell at my dogs,and last time I checked I pay my mortgage, and if I want to yell in my house at my dogs, that is my choice, I guess it pissed them off and now they have crossed the line and make inaccurate assumptions as to what or whom I was yelling at, and it is completely ridiculous. Upon coming home one night a card was left at my door. 3-4 weeks went by and the sneaky DCF worker would not answer my many calls over that time period, and he showed up at my kids school without my knowledge and interviewed my child and teachers and now has made me appear to be a piece of crap to the staff at my child’s school. He is conducting these interviews without a warrant, and he is being very intimidating and insistent that I must allow him to see my home. I have nothing to hide, and want to cooperate fully to quickly get this over with and prove my innocence, but I am hesitant to allow their intimidation as I have heard the horror stories that DCF makes money when they take your kids, and they require ridiculous classes that interfere with your job, I am the sole provider for my child, and I am a single woman home owner, and I am currently in school full time while working full time, I have even been told they will use that against me. I am not sure if I need a lawyer, but some legal guidance would be of great use, I know my 4th and 14th amendment rights and I feel if I utilize them it will be looked at as if I had something to hide, and that is not the reason at all, I just do not want to allow them to make a mountain out of a mole hill. I sure wish I knew which neighbor it exactly was, as I would educate them on making false accusations because they are annoyed with someone and they are not adult enough to confront me and discuss their problem with me, they have to stoop to such a low of involving my child. A child in which is; in no way shape or form, in any path or exposure to any form of abuse. I am a self admitted overprotective mother, I do not allow my child to sleep over friends houses in fear of the possibility that another family I may not know fully may have a predator living in or visiting their home. I only allow g, pg rated entertainment. This person obviously does not know anything about me. What can I do to put an end to this ridiculous intrusion into my life, over an unwarranted, unfounded, accusation? This person has made a very big mistake, and if I could I would press charges against them for defamation of character, and knowingly making a false accusation. I may need a lawyer.

For 2 years, my husband and I have been trying to get help for our 10 year old son who has a slew of mental disorders. Everywhere we turned we were told the only way to get him the help he needs was to go through CPS. Not wanting to do this, we tried every possible avenue until he was no longer accepted at even a state run facility because of his violence! We finally called CPS to get help for him as a last resort. That was the worst mistake I have ever made! CPS ambushed us at a doctor appointment for myself and took all 3 children from me right there. We followed all their rules, and have done everything asked of us including placing them in safety placement while they did their investigation. They were pulled from that placement today on allegations that they were being abused and neglected by the friends they were placed with. They served me with papers today saying I was abusing them and neglecting them when I wasn’t even around my kids. I need a lawyer that is willing to go to trial with me ASAP!! Dear God someone help me!
My case has never been heard by a judge and the judge has put off every hearing that we have had for 3 years. Now there in a rush to go for a TPR! This is obsurd and I really need someone to look at the paper work that I have and see that junk that they are doing. My oldest special ed child has been molested while in care. My 2nd oldest daughter and my son were physically abused while in care and she called the placement worker in the middle of the night and they were removed again! from another placement.

My son Samuel is in the gifted and talented program at school who hasn’t had any behavioral problems was removed along with his siblings on 10/2/2007. They are all currently back in their home, reunited with me and my wife. During Sam’s absence CPS has practiced medicine without a licence (ADHD), forced him (verbally threatening physical abuse) against his will to take meds, and was physically abused on several occasions. I want to go after the state here and the boys home that he was at when he was forced to take the medicine. We are in Texas. Please respond at 903-758-2300. What can Be done about these new laws they come up with ( no child will be left behind) ? Listen to this story , Our local Sherriffs were out at the airport drag racing there patrol cars and one of the officers wrecked the patrol car at a speed of 100 mph ( now get this) with her 12 year old child in a gov. owned car . No charges of child indangerment or no charges of any wrong doings on her part and still to this day remains on the force( surprised ). I have a 2 children removed from the home due to the truancy program and the farm has made our life hell for 2 years now. The farm has totally destroyed my family .Im from Kansas and have no options. Were do I go for help?

I and my husband found out that we have so recent CPS history that has prevented us from getting temporary custody of our grandchildren. In 2004 our dauther then 15 and a half ran away from home after a argument with my husband her biological father. Our daugther went to Riverside Ca. where we later found her in CPS custody she made all kinds of accusations about the reason she left home, all of which she changed later. The real reason was that her boyfriend had recently moved there and they wanted to be together. Riverside CPS then released her to our custody with any further actions. However now the Kern County CPS is using that case has a reason to deny us temporary custody of our two grandsons from the same daughter. I need representation and some advise on how to get custody of the children.

I am desperately seeking any and all to help me with a child porn ring involving cps workers, police etc in Idaho, where my child has been held captive for almost two years. I am told of an illegal adoption that took place a year ago, and I have not been allowed to speak with or see my 13, almost 14 year old son at alol, including where they will not even produce him in a courtroom. They will be terminate my parental rights in 3 weeks, as if I had any in the first place. He was hurt, and so was I, all in the name of saving him from me. I have committed nor been charged with any crimes, and still can not tell you why he was taken, as everything is thrown at me, none of which is true. I want to know if my son has arms, legs, or a head… is he still even alive? I don’t have that right either. PLEASE HELP MY LITTLE BOY-AS THERE IS NOTHING MORE DEVASTATING THAN THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DHHS IS TRYING TO STEAL MY GRANDDAUGHTER

My name is Carolyn James and my granddaughter was born March 1, 2006 with
Crystal Meth in her system. She was placed in a Foster Home; I applied
for Guardianship so I could adopt her. A Kinship worker came to the my
home and assessed my home; at that time I disclosed previous sexual
abuse that happened with four of my children and the Department deemed me/
my home safe enough and my granddaughter was placed with me on April 30,
2006.

In order for me to adopt my granddaughter, I had to take classes, and
finally have an Adoption Home study; my Home study was denied because I
was honest and disclosed the abuse that happened with my daughters 18
years ago. The courts felt that I put my granddaughter in danger. I am a
mother of 12 and I’ve always worked 2-3 jobs, and had no knowledge of my
children’s abuse.

The courts and department treat me like I am the perpetrator and informed
me that I am the same person I was 18 years ago. When I learned of the
abuse the perpetrators were put out my home immediately. I retired early
just so I could care for my two granddaughters and I am more than capable
of protecting my granddaughters in a safe loving environment.

Lastly, I also have custody of my granddaughter who I’ve had since
her birth, please tell me why one child is safe to reside with me and the
other is not? CPS has divided my family for their own personal gain. I was
denied adoption and kinship by Judge Horton in family court; moreover, I
was advised I could appeal the decision only to be denied an Appellate
counsel. I was also was forced to move out of my home in order for my
daughter to become a potential kinship/adoptive parent…something is
wrong.

I need someone to listen to me; I am one of many grandmothers fighting
this battle with CPS, and I will not let them get away with this. This is
just beginning. Here are the events leading up until now:
My granddaughter was born March 1, 2006
I was contacted my DHHS to possibly place my granddaughter with me
I was live-scanned and passed
Met with Kinship worker James Brozek and at that time I disclosed
previous sexual abuse of my children
April 30, 2006 my granddaughter was placed in my home
Dec 2006 I submitted my application for adoption
Dec 2006 I live scanned for to adopt my granddaughter and passed
Dec 2006 enrolled in Adoption classes per DHHS and passed
Jan 2007 had an Adoption Home study with Juliane Rose ( Home study
incorrect)
Apr 2007 my home study for adoption was denied based on the lies
written in the home study assessment and the fact that I disclosed the
sexual abuse of my children 18 years ago)
Apr 2007 I filled for a Grievance and the courts lost the paper work
May 2007 obtained outside counsel (grandchild was still living with me
despite that fact I was denied the home study
Jul 2007 my grandchild was removed…CPS violated the Adoption Faith
Family Act of 1997
Jul 2007 started visitation…was allowed to see her once a week for
one hour a day
Aug 2007 judge Horton ruled that I could not adopt my granddaughter,
nor could I have guardianship of her but informed me that I could
appeal
Sept 2007 Filled for an appeal
Nov 2007 the court denied me to the right to have counsel

Now my daughter has stepped up and tried to get Guardianship her niece and they are denying her also. CPS has violated a Federal Law called the “Adoption Faith Family Act” which clearly states that a child should not be removed from a home unless they or in immediate danger. If you were to audit every Social worker that came to my home, it will show in their report that my granddaughter never was in danger. I need to know why CPS had denied my daughter for Guardianship. They say it’s because they could not verify that I had moved out of my home, but the social worker came to the home saw that I no longer lived in the home. CPS has abused and power and denied my daughter under false and unsubstantial concerns. I am begging you to please help me; time is running out. July 7, 2008, the courts plan on finalizing the adoption of my granddaughter with a total stranger, THIS IS WRONG! My heart bleeds with pain everyday. I don’t know what else to say…. please I know that if you meet with me and the department, with a doubt in my mind, you will see what CPS has done and will continue to do to families is wrong.

I don’t understand why I am being treated like the perpetrator. I am able
to protect both of my granddaughters. She neither was nor will ever be in and

I am a single mother of 4 needing some support and assistance with regaining custody of my children. I haven’t talked to anybody like this before, but it is very important that I get as much help as I can as soon as possible because it has already been going on awhile and we need help soon. Please help me any way you can. I’m not perfect by far but I’ve never ever did the things to my kids they said I did and I have a lot of evidence and people supporting me and my kids but we don’t have a lot of money or any experience with any of this. I have 2 sets of twins Two 4 year olds and two 2 year olds, and one of the two year olds Ethan Campos is still not home with me after 2 years and the others were returned in three months of there removal. Ethan was removed along with my other three due to the fact that he sustained fractures in the ribs 6th -10 and I believe his femur. My son Ethan was born 8/1/2005 and while coming into this world Ethan’s first look into life wasn’t all that great for he had swallowed meconium assperation and had RDS (Respitory Distress Syndrome). My son stayed in the hospital for 12 days on fluids & antibiotics for the infection in the NICU and was fed thru IV.My son then came home and in 1 month he started to vomit. I brought this to his Pediatricians attention and he just switched his formula. Well the vomiting continued for three months and so did the switch of various formulas. Finally his Dr referred Ethan for a G.I consult which I believe he should have done the first month he was vomiting. Well on Jan 12 , 2006 my son had his apt with the gastroenterologist who had seen my son & said that I should admit my son into Loma Linda University Hospital and that he would probably need to stay as an inpatient. I then took my Son as fast as I can with great concerns to Loma Linda. So I explained to the staff regarding my son and of his vomiting and how I also was concerned about his leg and arm how he wouldn’t move them as much and how when I would change his diaper his knees would make a cracking noise.

. My sons story fits into allot of TBBD. And I just don’t know why they avoided trying to rule that out instead of pin pointing to me as an abuser and/or neglecter and why it took three months for him to be seen by the gastroenterologist? After the grief of him and my other children were removed they discharged him in a few days with the diagnosis G.E.R.D!! And by reading the symptoms and effects from G.E.R.D I believe my son had G.E.R.D all along and that G.E.R.D was caused by the maconium aspiration and G.E.R.D being a Digestive Disorder it is categorized as one of those disorders that cause the bones to be brittle. Ether G.E.R.D or TBBD I strongly believe in the outcomes from both. My son never had any bruising, or internal organ damaged!! I have never neglected any of his appointments that if abuse was a question his Dr would have suspected something and his Dr never suspected abuse/neglect from Ethan or the other three. So what can I do? Please inform me on how can I have another DR review my case and my sons medical records, or how can I do it? What are the steps I need to follow? What do I need to look for in his reports, blood work etc……… So that it could explain that at that time my son could of had Brittle Bone Disease? I believe after reading A article about TEMPORARY BRITTLE BONE DISEASE that its a huge possibility for the fact the he is a twin who was born with problems and after birth problems continued, he had low muscle tone which could have been the cause and reason why his bones did not get the strength nor development that they needed!!

I am a parent of 3 small boys. Cps showed up at our house on 1/31/08 and stated that they were there for abuse of my children. After speaking with them she concluded that it was not happening and stated that the acusations were unfounded. and then she left. On 2/01/08 they showed back up with the police and raided my home and snatched up the boys stating that they were being neglected. CPS had my boys from 3pm on 2/1/08 until 245 pm on 2/5/08. please help me am ua’s 2x’s wk. they have no case and now my old roommates cps worker is mine. Isn’t this a conflict of interest. She was a meth user trying to get clean and sorber. She left owing a large amount of $$. She is the one that called in the repirt because I kicked her out for using meth again. So she retaliated.

There sure is a lot of help needed here on this blog, where’ are some Nice Attorney’s, Representatives, Senators, Governors, Assembly people?
We need help to get these money makers (children held by fosters that don’t give a crap, $$$$ but it is a check. )
they need to investigate some of these CLOSED (I CALL FIXED) cases. These children are suffering, and putting them on drugs isn’t the
answer (when they self mutilate themselves), we have been seeing the result of those drugs in recent days, those kids are going postal with guns killing every one they can. That is a no brain er! They tried to put my kids on drugs, I couldn’t believe how bad it got. NO WAY I took them off, I believe you have to have downs to have ups, it is normal.

I am in desperate need of a lawyer. DFCS has my 3 precious children. I’ve been through 5 caseworkers all of whom either go to church with my mother or supply my father with his illegal drugs. My mother has admitted on the stand in court under oath that her allegations stem from hatred she harbors for my husband and has for the last 8 years. There have been hearings take place, and no notification of any kind. My mothers divorce lawyer is my children’s guardian ad litem when objecting to this in court it was overruled. She gives my mother just what she wants too. It’s a horrible nightmare but any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

I have 2 daughters(11,6) with my ex wife. Recently my ex has convinced my oldest daughter that i have sexually molested her. I took a polygraph to prove my innosense and did several other things. The case was dropped as were charges. Now im trying to find away to get my kids away from my ex who abuses them and does drugs and sexual acts around them. I need help with a family lawyer. My oldest is in foster care with my 10 month old grandson. CPS is making it absolutely impossible for me to get her home with me. I don’t know if I am in need of a lawyer….CPS is back in our lifes for 6 months because of the childrens school…..My daughter is very accident prone and has hurt her right wrist 4 times w/cast, to side on the side of saftey with her, and 5 times on her Left…they have all been accidents…my son has been with her at every one and I have been there for almost all. she trips and falls and puts her hands out she is usually running, skate boarding, walking, jumping she just knows how to fall. My 26 year old daughter and her son of 2 years is being harassed by CPS. She is now pregnant with her second child and is about to give birth. The reason CPS is involved now is that someone made false statements CPS and now they want to open a case on her. She has explained to CPS that they are false statements but CPS won’t let up. They have questioned her neighbors, relatives etc. and that makes her look bad to neighbors all because of these false statements. She has even moved because of CPS going around to the neighbors asking questions. My daughter received notice 3/20/08 of a hearing Monday, March 24, 2008. We have no idea how to protect ourselves from their harassment. There is very little time and we need help. Thanks!

I admitted to using marijuana during my cps case and they terminated my rights. I did all I could to get my daughter back and I failed. I have been diagnosed with bipolar along with some other things and my MHMR caseworker says I was self medicating and that it is very common people with my illness to do so. I notified cps of this and they still took my only baby.
When she was taken there was a dirty drug test and I don’t know how that happened but I need help to stay clean for her. I am looking into drug treatment and i just ran out of time before i could get help. if any one can help me please let me know. my daughter had never been in any danger and had never been hospitalized for anything. My children were takin from my home after an incident that was in no way my fault. An intoxicated man came through my son’s bedroom window and passed out drunk. We found him in there when we heard my son crying. He was naked, sleeping. He had taken his clothes off apparently because he urinated in them. My ex husband was staying with me at the time and he completely lost it. Ran for a steak knife to try to stab the man. I called police and tried to stop him and get the man out of my house. The very next day CPS came in and took all 4 of my children. My two oldest have Cerebral Palsy. I believe they are keeping my kids because of their income which of course was taken from me also. My court appointed lawyer hasn’t helped at all. They have had my children for 5 months now. They aren’t safe where they are and CPS fails to investigate the abuse that is occurring in the foster home despite visible bruises, etc. The plan they came up with was for me to have a drug/alcohol evaluation and a psyc eval. I have cooperated with them fully and still have made no progress. I live in Oregon. Please help me. My children are suffering and they need their mother.

I had a Baby boy X-mas day 2007. When he was 26 days old I had left my son with his father to go to the store. Apon returning home my baby was crying and did for a few hours. I didn’t know what was wrong so I took him to the hospital. I found out his leg was broken and didnt know how it got that way. His father didnt offer any information on the situation. Later his father came forward and addmitted he fell with the baby. He was put in jail 5 days after CPS took my baby. It has been 2 months and my son is now 3 months old. I have been cleared of any abuse aligation, and CPS has verbaly said I didn’t do anything wrong. I have taken the Drug/alchol screen and the phyc evaluation and have done everything they asked. They are reaching for anyhting and have nothing but keep prolonging my case. I need help….. Please…. My Son is growing up so fast and changing everyday and I am missing it. I cant get that time back. My fiancé were awaiting questions to be answsered when the dr in the hospital called CPS on us and our son was taken away from us in Nov 07 and mind you our son was born with all sorts of medical problems and was in our care at home for only 8 days, and we’ve not been able to get him back yet they keep postponing it. I have been involved with CPS for two years. I have complied with all that they have said and they still dont want to return my children. I had two older onees who were 6 and 8 at the time of removal. I had another son in JAnuary of 2007. I am pregnant with another child and they want this one too. After they took my son directly from the hospital. I was pled out in chambers by my free attorney who told me and my witness’ that this was pre-trial. Only to find i had been found guilty when i had witness’ that were never allowed to testify. They even took the day off from work. I need to find out what will work to re-unify my family.

We were a licensed foster family until my adult son got mad and made a false report to CPS. They removed a baby that we had since his birth and it was a few weeks before his 1st birthday. This child was removed 2 weeks before we got adoption rights on him. My family was torn apart they made my husband move out. We were sent to a sex offender specialist. My daughter came home talking about very sexual explicit things from school and we talked to her mainly her father. They said she was too young and that my husband got enjoyment from the conversation. This is totally wrong they will not listen to us or my daughter. This talk was almost a year ago. They removed the baby day before Thanksgiving, we had a review by CPS and lost. I have barely left my home, my health is suffering from stress and my 2 girls are devestated. I have had my own issues with DSS while I was growing up but did not expect to be going through this with my own children. I am currently involved in a federal suit against DSS in Nassau County, New York and could use some legal help.

To summarize, I had obtained visitation of my children through a court order. My ex, with the help of DSS, managed to keep keep the children away from me until the age of emancipation, a total of over 13 years. There had been numerous reports of abuse and neglect filed with DSS during this time. The only time DSS ever notified me of anything regarding the children during this period was when I got behind on child support, and that was to warn me to either pay up or face incarceration. I cannot begin to describe what the children have gone through, not to mention the psychological effects that resulted. DSS’s sole concern was to make sure that the children remained with their mother and I paid support. My childrens’ need for their father and my being able to protect them from the abuses that were reported to DSS were irrelevant. Reprts of bias and unfairness in Family Court by attorneys who practice there only serve to further illustrate the corruption that is the system. Someone has to take a stand and that is me.

I live in Hartwell Ga. and I am desperately in need of a lawyer! My six year old son has been taken from me without a hearing by D.F.A.C.S. The reason they gave me was because I was taking medication prescribed by my doctor. Lortab. I was not abusing but have since detoxed to get my child back, and cannot get any answers from d.f.a.c.s. When they took him from me, they put him in the custody of his father who had only been out of prison for a month. He is a felon with an ancle bracelet who lives with his alcoholic mother, and step father who is on methodone. I have been given drug tests for 5 months and have not failed a single one, I AM NOT A DRUG USER!!! and having passed the first one cannot understand how they could take my son in the first place! I have done everything asked of me with no results. They just keep running me around in circles. Now the father is suing for full custody! Please, I need help!!!!!!

So far every lawyer has done nothing but allow the sytem to run over all my legal rights including the right to a fair trial . They also have blocked any kind of an appeal and said I can only appeal the letter of the law not the fact my own lawyer stabbed me in the back and it was CPS es lies the judge believe actually calling me a lier on paper and everyone else telling the truth for god sakes the foster mother admitted her and CPS were plotting to let her adopt and the judge ignored it. went through a custody battle, ex called dcfs several times (I know because social worker had to cancel & said she tried to reach me on my cell, read off his # as the # she called to reschedule…..) when the lady came to our house….she kept looking at how nice our house was, even making comments like…who is your decorator?

well, out of the 30 reports, only 1 was substantiated….my 12 yr old had a small bruise on his knee (the kid played football…wanted to live w/ Dad and was advised to lie about abuse…) They ordered us to go through drug testing, we passed them all, they said my current husband didn’t show up…he did, they lost the tests!!! after so many tests, my idiot husband took a hit of a joint….at work, not in our home, not around the kids.

We refused to sign their “Prevention Plan” so they brought a cop with them that night to scare us into signing, we didn’t.

They held a custody hearing…..without our knowledge! Not only were they going to put the kids in foster care, they had a SOCIAL WORKER from the Cabinet ready to make room in her home for MY kids!!!!!!!!! One of which was special needs (more adoption money for the State)

it had to be done IMMEDIATELY….they would not allow us to set up other arrangements!

So we absconded with the children to another state….and only agreed to come back if the kids could live w/ family….

After I lost my kids, and disappeared for a week, both my husband and I lost our jobs, our home, my career was in Education…my degree…I can never use it again!

I THEN began using drugs & alcohol…I HAD 5 children, lived in a very well-appointed $180k home…my kids & I had just gone to see Disney on ice the night before, they were very well cared for, had anything they wanted……
when I lost them, I tried to commit suicide because I lost my life when I lost them.

We had over 50 acquaintences write letters stating how great we were with our children….but the judge doesn’t get to see this, they only let the Cabinet speak……..where is the justice in this? The caseworker who took our kids hod none of her own & this was her 1st case!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who looked out for our Family?

I wrote the Governor, State & Local agencies, I appealed the decisions….but OF COURSE it was upheld! Easier to go with the status-quo than to admit a flaw in the Cabinet….Judges are afraid of them.

I need a lawyer to get my babies home…I fought so hard for them, but lost them anyway….I told the Worker’s Supervisor, “Would I be fighting this hard if I were unfit or wasn’t trying to protect my children?”

I had written just lastnight,well eairly this morning to aplogize to the victums here on Fight CPS and for some reason even after leaving my EXTREMLY slow laptop to submit my comment of Aplogiy,It did not post, I have been working day and night to regain my children from the Custody of MS state,My children WANT to be with me,The Courts will not allow them to even VISIT me in NV, where I moved to gain imployment and housing due to the lack of both in the city my children are being held. I just need to know if custody of my child is handed over to CPS as a “sentence” for her behavior as a “minor in need of special supervision” without any allegations towards me (and my other children are still in my custody) do I have the right to appeal this decision?

I have been told by some that since the charges are actually against my daughter that I have no stake in the case. Yet others have told me I need to get a lawyer to represent my rights.

I do not believe that CPS offered us the resources available to them, to enable her to stay in the home, before taking her out of the home once they were given temporary custody.

There was a court hearing on 04/02/08 and the papers I got state “It would be contrary to the welfare, health, and safety of the minor child to be placed in the parental home at this time”. That sure sounds like they’re saying it’s because of me and that I should have some way to prove that not to be true. In addition, I’m being “ordered to comply with the Case Plan, Court Report, and Court Orders”. I haven’t even see a case plan and have no idea what they are saying occurs in the parental home that would be contrary to her welfare, health, and safety. If orders in her case require me to somehow comply with the case plan from CPS, shouldn’t I have someone to help me make sure my rights are being protected?

They now want to keep my daughter in foster care for at least six more months and I’m only allowed “reasonable visitation to be determined by DHHS”.

I would appreciate any information. I’m scared from the sounds of this that they believe part of her issue to be with her homelife even though no allegations have been made and no investiagation has taken place, that that my other two children are potientally at risk of being taken away. And I’m scared that they will find any excuse to continue to keep her in foster care, stating it’s her “punishment”, while at the same time fracturing our relationship and walking all over my rights as her mother.

what fees are involved in fighting child abuse claims(false)? CPS came into my house scared the life out of me claiming he was planning to take my 3 kids- oldest one(16) started this with over embelished stories. He tricked me into signing papers to contact Drs, my son’s teachers and god knows what else. school counselor told my daughter cps will only talk to her and maybe parents and suggest couseling. she wound up calling him on his cell- telling him that she never said half of what this guy claimed and the other half was I didn’t say it like that he is twisting my words counselor stated” oh they do that sometimes.
what do I do?

My 2yr old fell out of our 2nd story window by pushing the screen out. He was rushed to the hospital but sustained no significant injuries. He came home the next day with a few scratches. a few days later CPS shows up with a Neglect complaint. We have never neglected our kids. So now CPS says they are going to interview our kids - should I get a lawyer @ this early stage to monitor the interviews, or just ride this portion out?

This message is for any and all lawyers who have a kind heart and are willing to help. I have a now almost three month old son. Cps came into our lives when he was two days old. They came at us with acusatoins of past deeds and threatened to take our child. Since then we have been doing nothing but jumping through government hoops and constantly getting pushed around.They made me quit my job because they felt that I wasn’t with my child enough… but yet they have me running from the moment I get up until the time I go to bed each day.. I haven’t yet been able to do anything with my child.. or even taken him to get his pictures taken as a family.. I am loosing so many memmories and so much time with him, because of Cps..for every hoop they have us jump through there are three more hoops on the other side. I am tired of being harrassed and threatened, that they are going to take my child.. I want to live stress free with out cps. because of cps, I had to quit my job, give up my house, spend hours and hours away from my child day in and day out.. This is not the way I wanted it to be. Cps has lead us to hardship, they are tearing us apart. “Please
Help!”

@Mark - YES… this is the BEST time to get an attorney to represent you. Having one may prevent the case from going any further. The children are allowed to refuse to be interviewed or to request a parent and/or lawyer be present.

I to am a victim of CPS, my child was taken from me awhile back and the judge gave her back to me. I moved to another county and I just found out that they put in for the same allegations and new and none of them is true.My daughter has been in foster care now for a while they just moved her and 3 other girls because the fostercares brother was having sex with one of the girls. So now she is in another fostercare and they dont even feed them. I have complained. All they tell me is Well what do you want me to do.Very frustrated,and very much wanting another lawyer.What do you think?

my god son was abandoned by his mother 5 1/2 yeas ago when he was 5 months old she did not provide for him and she would come on accion a pick him up and he would come back wit h bruses and when he got old enough to talk he told me that he was beenig abused but cps would not help she even told me that she did not wont him she just wonted the public assitence that she recive that why she wont let me adopt him cps said she had the right to do that then in 2006 the day befor my childs 5 brith day heis six now she took him now his is in foster care help me get him back

CPS got involved in my family in 06. i lost my kids for 2 mon. and got them back but the case was still open. i attened drug classes and had a weekly counselor coming to my house. in august my husband went to jail and lost his job. our lights were turned off. he illegally turned them back on and we went to jail for criminal mischief, which we are not both on probation. we lost our house, were living in a hotel when they came and took my kids away nov. 12. had them set voluntary placement with a friend of mine, who after a month decided she wanted only my daughter and sent my boys to a foster home. i didn’t find out for 2 days. the caseworker assisted her in legally taking my daughter, and she hasn’t seen her brothers in 6 months. we have until nov to get our boys back. they have been dragging their feet about our drug classes, which we JUST started, the caseworker failed to turn in my 2054, and they say WE are not cooperating. i need help, and i’m in the state of Texas

My parental rights have been terminated as of this monday, 04/14/08. I have done everything possible to comply with DCS but have found them to be lacking in any way to help a father seeking custody in Tennessee. This is a case that has dragged on for over 3 years and financially drained me, and continues to do so with child support that makes sure I cannot afford an attourney. My daughters were taken out of custody of my ex’s care, whom she failed to supervise properly, causing this whole situation. In which time i have divorced and she has caused many huge obstacles by lying about me and telling her son to lie as well, and even telling my daughters it is ok to lie also!!! DCS has done everything in their power to prevent me from gaining custody, lying about me in court and lying about how visits went, saying I never showed any affection or love towards my daughters, when they would cry constantly when the visits were over, and saying I failed to follow the permanency plan when in fact they made sure I never completed it!!! Not to mention phone calls were almost never returned or returned too late!The judge conveinently ignored all evidence showing the lack of cooperation on DCS’s part to provide everything needed!!! So, now that my rights have been terminated, the lawyer appointed by the very system that has taken them away, says I will have to wait as long as a year before the appeal will be heard in court!!! I will not wait that long!!! I need a layer fluent on tennessee family law reguarding my parental rights and custody of my daughters! Please help! I refuse to accept the Judge’s ruling and will not give up!!!

I am in desperate need of an attorney who can help with the following case: My children were removed from me for a supposed DUI, the DUI turned out to be 0.00. Orange County CPS returned my older 16 year old son and kept my 5 year old boy. He been placed 7 times in 10 months. In his last placement he was beaten and shook which resulted in bleeding on the brain, laceration of the liver from blunt force trauma and bleeding behind the eyes. He also stopped breathing and was given cpr whilst having a seizure. The allegations of abuse have been substantiated by CPS investigators against foster parents and he was removed. After spending 3 days and nights with him in the ICU unit the social worker decided to put him back in Orangewood and would only give me 30 mins a week in monitored visits. My baby is suffering from violent headaches. He has never been sick or hospitalised in his 5 years. Could somebody please help me find an attorney who will advocate for my child against the CPS and the foster parents who did this to him. I reside in Orange County, CA. I do have a case of change of circumstances with the Judge in 3 weeks time, please pray that they return my baby back to me so his brother and I can love and heal him back to sanity. The social worker in this case deliberately did not tell me he was in the ICU unit for 3 days and would not let me know the hospital he was in. She is now very afraid of her mistake and instead of being compassionate about it she is choosing to keep him away from me. At present, I only have 2 x 2hours a week monitored visits. When I leave him he is in deep distress and I am afraid due to his injuries he may have another seizure. Please, please help me anyone with advice. Thank you.

Well I go for a review hearing on Friday, I just recived the papers requiring me to be in MS yesterday, Court is Friday……Short notice,but at least it shows they havent lost my file. I talked to my kids three days ago and they want to be with me, unless someone else is in the room and than they change the subject. I’m terrified of the judge misunderstanding something I say, The last time I had a over the phone review, He gave my children to my abusive Ex-Husband, and they’ve been with him since than, Scary since I’ve seen my Ex snatch my son off a childrens slide and drop him on the ground…, I’m so lost right now I dont know what to do or what to say come Friday, I cant afford a attorney, I havent been given one. If ANYONE can help it would be Great!!! Thanks.

LA County DCFS instituted a case involving my grandchildren after the father ( a former foster youth) left the home becuase of family fights while living with his girlfriends parents.
DCFS has detained the children from the father, leaving them in the custody of the 17 yr old mother and her parents.
Currently the childrens mother is also protected by TRO that I prepared on their behalf. DCFS involvement came about becuase the childrens fatehr had a friend place a call to the Hotline aledging unclean conditions.(after making a comment that he woudl rather see his kids in foster care then with the mom/ex-girlfirend))When DCFS investigated the girlfriend and her family fearing DCFS retalliated by making exagerrated and false complaints about the father.

The WIC petition referred to four or five old incidents. Case is this:
1. family protected by TRO.
2. threat was removed when dad left.
3. dad enrolled in tretament programs.
4. DCFS detention is not warranted.

How do we get this case closed now?

The State of Vermont , in Franklyn county has tasken my son away and placed him with his exstepmother. My exwife’s testimoney was 90% purgery and the Caseworker and intern both commited pergery. I have not been able to see my son in 3 years. there is another TPR comming up and even the judge told me last year that my son would be adoped by my exwife after that.

It is important for you to understand that I have NEVER even been charger with a crime!!!!! especialy against my son.

The whole system in Vermont seems to be driven by Feminist Natzis I can not get any lawyer to help. I also do not have any money as I am retired on a disibulity. I want to file a crimnal complaint against thes people with the USDOJ. And I beleive the only other way that I can see is to bring massive federal law suites against the state. for 100 million perchild. That allone will get the attention of the governor. and it is an election year as well.

I have all paper work and hearing tapes including the first TPR. PLEASE HELP

I am trying to become a foster/adoptive parent. I had disclosed an incident from 1992 in my application, and was originally accepted. However, I made DHS mad at me somehow, and now they say because of the incident of founded neglect in 1992 I can not be either a foster/adopt parent. I have tons of experience, and I love kids. Also, I am not the person I was back then, adn now my house is perfectly clean. Also I am remarried. DHS did not send me the founded allegation info until 2007,because if that, I had no idea I needed to fight it. How can I defend myslef now?

I am not rich, but want to help the children, and I need to win this, not just for myself, but for others who this is happening to.

I did not harm my stepson, I just had a not so clean house at the time. Also I was the victim of a vigilante cop who made the report look 10 times worse than it actually was. He was fired a couple years later for doing things like this to other people. I have all the articles on him. He was a bad cop.

My cps troubles started back in Sept. 2004, After my husband and I seperated. I have had a few cases that II did whatever they wanted me to and still was completely unaware that they had been closed, and I was not notified because my case worker felt it was in the best intrest of the children to keep things like they were. So I was avoided and lied too. At this time my daughter was staying with her father and some time later another case was brought about, stupidity on his part, I agreed to do everything I had to in order to get her home with me, I eventually got her back around Oct. 2007. During this time I was back with my ex husband and had all my kids. A situation occurred and the cops and ambulances where called to my home, Shortly after Cps walk through my door. The case was closed pretty quickly through family base services. Once we finished everything we were to do for cps.Since then things have been great, we have our children. We are no longer together but things are normal again. Until Now. Aparently cps was told that there was domestic abuse going on in my home. They said my daughter that lives with me drew a picture of the incident. I have never fought in front of my children. I may have argued but thats it. My daughter is deaf and couldn’t hear what was going on anyways.How can cps be investigating something that doesnt involve neglect of abuse to my child.Im sorry to say but every relationship has problems and argue every now and then.My child has not been abused or neglected in any way. Also they went to my ex’s house where my other two children stay and was asking my children what they call their private area and that is way out of line. They said the reason they were there is because the report they got said siblings where at my house. which at this time our divorce papers hadn’t been changed so i wasn’t allowed to have them during this time of accusation. why are they dragging them into this? Their father refused to take a drug test because he felt like it shouldn’t even be taking place at his house which I agree, so they said he can’t be with the kids unsupervized? They said with him dening the test hes saying hes possitive. They said they are going to get it court ordered. What can we do this is crap, Please anyone help me. Give me some kind of advice. I want cps out of my life.

Jo, I’m sure they still have your files in storage. They probably also have your name on a computer with a number indicating the type of case it was, so they’ll know you had a CPS case just by looking at a computer, then will have the information to pull your file out of storage.

Sorry if this is bad news but you might be able to get around it by not telling them you had a case in another state. MIGHT… remember that word. I really don’t know how extensive their computer system is at this point.

I live in Oregon and I applied for guardianship of my nieces 2 children that are in foster care in Georgetowne,CO.I have completed my ICPC and have been approved at this end. The Social worker Sarah Cassano told me that ever thing looked good but they will not be placing the children with but leaving them in the care of the foster parent and that they were considering her to adopt the children.The Kempe Center in CO is recommending the children stay where they are with concerns for attatchment disorder for the 2yr old.He has been in this foster care 4 1/2 months. They did not stress concernsfor the girl Ashlynn 6.Please help me. The hearing is June 17th.I’m DESPERATE!

my grandchild is a US citizen…While my son was living in Canda family services took custody…Can anyone in power in the US get her back to this country ? My son and his girlfriend are also US citizens…They moved to Canada in June of 2008 and they took my grandchild in October…The trial is June 18…
