If they were, we wouldn’t read about the incidents that we do Nationwide, there would also be accountability; from the parents, other parties involved, regardless of relationship, any Civil Service Employee, Therapist, Judge etc..

In New York, most CPS Allegations, are made by a bitter party of divorce; that upon seeing the other improve / move on, has to do something to de-rail them, as well as ruin the sacred child / parent relationship.

All allegations go thru the Anonymous Call Center (come on folks people can figure things out, especially when a new allegation surfaces, after one closes, and only the one party is admonished for what can be proven, yet CPS does nothing & closes case).

I personally have dealt with 15 unfounded allegations, and 1 that was originally deemed founded, as I admitted to such; but was reversed by the Albany portion of OCFS, as their own guidelines permitted me to do such. The issue at hand was I disciplined my son; and others tried to make something of it.

His Mother and her 2nd Husband use the kid as their in-house baby sitter, the kid is constantly failing in school, and no one cares about that though.

I’ve done what I’m supposed to, and can afford to physically as well as financially, been to the courts which get no place, been through the schools, which refuse to comply with NYS LAWS & Family Court Orders.

I’ve spent hours / years researching NYS Case Law Decisions, NYS Statutes, and Agency Regulations, no one cares.

You can put something in front of a Judge that is precedent, sometimes even though own previous decision, it doesn’t matter.

You can show an Agency their own guidelines, or Parent Agencies Directive about Guidelines, and they still do opposite.

I’ve met with the local politicians, who either sponsored, co-sponsored or voted for specific legislation, and can’t get them to get the Parties to comply.

As for a worker no longer working as a CPS Caseworker, they may be in another dept of the agency, no one “quits” a civil service job, and are seldom fired. If you want a person bad enough, you will find them

In NYS most CPS Workers, or Civil Service Employees are protected via article 78 proceeding’s. Unless something so egregious, or behavior shocks the courts and they have no choice but to allow you to sue all involved.

I personally have a disfigured index finger, over 800 stitches in my body, and a knife wound from my own mother from when I was a child…

No one did anything about it, (Dr’s / Hospital Staff / Family Members) I love how she lies or denies the events even happened. Or the excuse I liked the best, was her parents did such to her, and had drinking issues, so it was ok to do to me & brother as it’s all she knew, and remains glossed over.

I found my father dead, she had me arrested, committed collusion / fraud with a local atty, and scammed me & a mortgage company, She even denied that my parents were divorced. I had to dig, and get proof to submit to SSI and my Fathers Employer (retirement / benefits were claimed that she wasn’t rightfully entitled too), and the bank that held the mortgage…. NO One cared or believed me. The Local District Attorney, wouldn’t get off his ass walk two buildings down, and verify what was in files he had access to. Until black & white documentation appeared to prove what I claimed, then another story come’s about, and she caused more family drama.

Bottom is that nothing will change, until Laws are changed, and actually force the Courts to do what they are supposed to do; which is hold people accountable, regardless who, and their excuse; and also holds Agencies / Directors / Workers can & are held accountable.
