People, you need to indicate your state and a valid email addy.

Remember, attorneys may read this site to see if you have a VALID CASE.

Remember, almost no attys will take a case pro bono ( free) unless it involves egregious civil rights violations.

Most of you need to register onto this site’s Message Board and get yourselves educated by networking with folks within your state.

Register and network. KNOWLEGE IS POWER. By one, you can be picked off. Together — folks in a state or area have CLOUT to go into your State Representative’s office and complain and MAYBE BE HEARD.

Look at the first story here. Folks networked in Georgia and got their state reps attention.

You need to be a cohesive, concentrated group to effect change.

my father took my children camping and never returned them. he then abandoned them at someone unknown by me house, and that person called cps after one week and he didn’t return. My father got one check and went to reno to gamble. my children are now in foster care. they have bullied me into putting my children on meds. they have separated my daughter and son. they have violated my rights and missled me to what to do and what my rights are. please contact me it has been since august and i still havent seen my public pretender. trial is in a week or so.

CPS took my kids an is making awfull comments ( lies) about in the court papers,twisting everything I say
Plus they tell me I will get my children back an then tell my daughter she can live with her dad who has not been paying his child support ( he is in work release now )
They are in Fostercare now
I have crappy Puplic Defender
Who is of no help what so ever
They turned our lives up side down
The Foster parent yells at my kids all the time

The case worker my sister currently has is not being fair…she won’t let my mother take responsibily for the children even though she knows we are what’s best for them, instead she lets them spend there time at a motel that is infested with hookers and drug dealers…I really don’t know why she’s still employed, especialy with the attitude she gives!!!

2years ago the issued a tpr on 5 of my children we didn’t have any money and I had a poor lawyer is it to late to do anything I have a daughter I have no idea where is she was molested while in foster care we couldn’t use that in court as a reason dhs failed us Please help me. I live in Los Angeles, CA and I am looking for an attorney who can help me file a Lawsuit against DCFS! I was reading the article by LA Times, about the mother who got 4.5 million and I currently filed a complaint against DCFS for the exact reasons she did, however I also joined the class action lawsuit that will hopefully take place for the psyc evaluations. Those complaints altogether are only part of the wrong-doing that DCFS has done and is still doing to me and my children. I would like to add that I also made a complaint about my public attorney to the State Bar of CA. So I really need legal help!

Can a relenquishment of parental rights be reversed?? who can we talk to, my daughter had to relenquish her rights on her little girl and deeply regrets it at the time she was up against TPR trial which would have surely terminated they are in OR, but the adoptive parents are in CA this situation is complex and my daughters Public defender didn’t do a damn thing to help her we need help! The adoption isn’t finalized yet. Is there a chance to change it, can it be appealed? we need a lawyer that will actually take the case. the lawyers my daughter has tried to talk to wont even consider helping her she has been trying to find one in OR, we need a good appeal atty, adoption specialist atty? I called police for a man in my yard, they put me in a hospital and gave my daughte to CPS. I have not been charged with anything. CPS cannot find prior or current proofs of abuse and have no professional people on their side, they have no one on their side but the police that beat me and took my daughter. I am in hell. Please help!!! There is no evidence and they will not go to court with me. I’ve done everything and they just continue to add things on and keep my daughter and me apart. I am an excellent mother and cannot believe this is happening!!! I also have a local reporter following my case.

My son was taken from me by Denton County, TX CPS for my ex-husband beating him while I was at work. I volutarily placed him with my mother, and then she went and got residential custody per the courts not 6 weeks later. I have been trying to get him back, I cannot afford an attorney who is willing to fight hers. I need to get an attorney and I need to know what I can do or need to do to get him back in my arms. There is alot more to this, but I cannot go into it on here. Thanks for any help given.

I had my 3 year old removed from me due to an emergency that I was placed in. During the time that my child was removed, I had gotten pregnant. My child was returned to me about 6 or 7 months later. I had the baby, and 3 days after I had her, her father called me and stated that he was going to kill me and the baby. I called the CPS worker several times and did not get a reponce. I finally called on last time and she told me to stop calling her becasue she was on her way to my home. Since I had moved from the place whrer I was staying since my daughter was returned to me, I knew that I had not done anything wrong to have her talk to me the way she was. Since she did not give me ANY chance to tell her about the babys father, I went and had a document noterized, giving my neighbor, whom I had know for 7 moths approx.and this person had also been cleared by the worker to do respite for me while iI was delivering the baby, custody of the baby. When the worker got to my home, she brought the police. All the meanwhile, the co-worker that had been helping me since I was 8 and a half months pregnant, and whom I trusted was calling my worker behind my back and was telling her that I was turning the babys head and pinching her, and that I was threatning to my oldest daughter.
So, when my second child was born, the worker that was on the case called for an Emergency Responce Worker. When the second worker got to my home, she told me that due to her findings that she would not remove the baby from my care. I told her about the noterized document, and the first worker pulled the second into one of my bedrroms and after spaeking to a supervisor, the second worker told me that she did have to remove my children.
To date, I had another child this year, and subsequentaly, that child too was removed from me as I was being discharged from the hospital. I was told that she was removed due to me still having my other two children in the system.
I have been through 4 lawyers, and I have found out that there are more people out there that have been victimized against. It is time to stop the madness. Need help for mother of child taken by CPS. CPS’s numerous false allegations (lies) are destroying this mother and her child. The “case” has gone out of control; the CPS has very little true evidence and has stacked falsehood upon falsehood in order to make their case. Can anyone help? We have been advised to “leave it alone and suffer the consequences,” but the past forty days has driven the mother to suicidal depression. Help?

My attorney, whom we are so stupidly paying, is completely worthless. THis case has been botched from the very beginning and my lawyer always says to go along with what CPS says, even though my husband & I are NOT CRIMINALS! My family have been victims of a CPS witchhunt, and CPS has used every dirty trick they know to ruin my family! I’d appreciated any good legal help.

My 15 year old son was taken from me 2 years ago..My state lawyer didn’t ask me my side .The dcf lied and misslead me and thinking that I was going to get my son back if I found a two bed room apt..Once I found a home the dcf found more lies.I will tell an attorney more if he or she writes..I do need someone to fight for me as my state lawyer seems to be on the dfc’s side

I dont even know if I have a case. DHS has been out here 4 times this school year. The accusations were that the kids were coming to school dirty and without baths. They came out, talked to my children who corrected them on that misinformation and left. Our most recent visit was different. They showed up with the sheriffs department, asked to speak to my children alone and claimed that they had the same allegations. After interviewing my children, they said that they also had a report of me doing ritual with my kids and with the neighborhood kids. They asked my children if I was a witch and if they did ritual and did mommy and daddy ‘touch them’…I was outraged. I know they came in under false allegations, and infringed on our first amendment rights. I dont know if I have anything to go on, but harassment is looking good right now. I need a lawyer to help me sue DHS in Colorado, I think I need a 1983 case lawyer, because me rights, and the abuce on my son, I have a paper from the DHS case worker saying that there was abuce, I did get my kids back, but went though there hell to do it. To Jodi Martinez,

My name is Richard Theisen I spoke with you on the phone a few days ago about the things thet have gone on in my case. You requested thet I write them all down in a letter and send them to you the appropriate papers so that is what I’m doing.

The first thing is we had a case worker named Darnel Setzer in Elpaso County who re-wrote a report that Sherri Swanson wrote. In the process of re-writing it she changed specific words in order to take the report to Judge Peacock and have an emergency removal of Jerry.

The second thing is Darnel Setzer took situations I was explaining and twisted them around it to something else to make it seem like I was paranoid and delusional. One example is Darnel said in a report thet I said Qwest and my Ex-wife Jennifer were out to get me. What I really said was Qwest let Jennifer buy 2 phone on my account without using a password and with out my authorization and now Qwest is making me pay for the phones. My total bill is $1200.00 because of the phones. That is why she paid $400.00 of the bill. We also was working with Qwest to have the phones taken off the bill. After a couple months Qwest told us in order to have the phones taken off the bill we would have to press charges against Jennifer. (which we did, we have a case number for that if you need it.) After we pressed charges Qwest still required us to pay this amount and refused to take the charges off our bill.

The third thing is when the case first started the Court ordered thet we have 3 visits per week out of the three visits we one a week would be missed. Then when the case was closed there where no visits. When it got opened again we got 2 visits per week at that point Jerry was only at one visit per week. Now we have one visit per week and Jerry is at one almost every other week.

The fourth thing is In October of 2006 the case was closed in Elpaso County at this point there had been no visit in a little over a month. I did have Andrea Woods get my visits going again even though the case was closed. It took two more months for us to get in front of a Judge. Judge Cisneros was the one that re-opened the case up. While the case was closed Andrea woods told me since there was no case open I can just take Jerry. I told Andrea I couldn’t just take him. The day we went in front of Judge Cisneros, the Judge yelled at the DHS workers and the County Attorney and told them to state the reason why the case was closed and what was going on. The Judge set the next court date for one week out.In the meantime Elpaso County was contacting Pam Berkhartsmier with Adams County about the case by e-mail. The County Attorney in Adams County was also notified and the day before court Adams County accepted the case.

The fifth thing is when they transferred the case to Adams County we had to do everything all over again. I had to do the parenting class, phsycological evaluations, therapy evaluations, visitation evaluations, parent/child interations with Justice, Parent/child interationals with Jerry, drug testing/hair folicle tests. All of the drug and hair test came back negative for drugs. All the evaluations came back thet there are NO SAFETY AND NEGLECT ISSUES. Since there are no safety and neglect issues they claim that the only reason there holding the kids right now are because of parenting issues. So now there making us go to Parenting Therapy after passing parenting class. I feel that they are having us do this therapy to hold the case out longer.

The sixth thing is at one point during the summer months our normal caseworker Pam Berkhartsmier went on vacation and Darcy Brown took over for her temporarily. So we started explaining to Darcy thet Jerry was missing almost every other visit and the ones the foster mom brought him to he had light bruises. We also disscussed with Darcy how Jerry’s not talking as much as he did before DHS took him, and how Jerry looked as if he was malnutritioned and under weight. They told me thet the way he looked was normal. But when you looked at him all you see is skin and bones with a big belly. Like the pictures you see of kidds thet are starving in third world contries. I believe it’s from lack of excersise and malnutrition. Because in paperwork that we have recieved he’s not being fed very much food that’s why when he’s in a visit with us he eats the entire visit. One visit on a friday Darcy made a surprise visit to watch one of our visits. While se was watching I asked if I could take Jerry’s shirt off because it was hot out it was in the 90’s and he was in a sweat shirt and sweat pants. Darcy agreed that it would be better to take his shirt off. As I was taking his shirt off Darcy noticed 4 small bruises on Jerrys arm and one on the underneath of his arm.(the shape of a hand mark)At this point we went upstairs to show the visitation supervisor(Marie), who agreed that it was a shape of a hand print. Marie said she would report it, but then Darcy said don’t worry about it I’ll take care of it. Before she quit her job as a case worker she wrote a report and gave me a copy of it. This paper on the incident was never put on record as we learned at the foster parent review meeting. The lady thet was sitting in the meeting as a neutralizer told the caseworker Pam Berkhartsmier to have the report put in to the computer and to show her the report on the bruises. At the time Pam could not show her because she didn’t have the paper in the file. The incident at this time was over two months old. During the two moths the visitation supervisor( Marie) made another report to DHS about the bruises on a seperate occasion. The findings for both of these where unfounded due to te foster mother claiming it was us making these calls and saying we where trying to harrass her. 2 D&N cases opened on the foster mom one by a case worker and the other by a visitation superisor and nothing was done about it. I have included both of these reports along with some pictures I would like you to read and take a look at.

I will be waiting for your reply on this matter. Iwill not wait for long. Then I will be showing this to an attorney. So I hope we can work this out without going to an attorney and sueing.

help. srs kansas has been holding my children hostage for 7 months. there is no substantiated abuse, no reason, and court orders to have the children in placement with me. the district attorney has chosen to prosecute me for “abandonment,” using a police report that adamantly refutes this. meanwhile, the psycho (repeat offender) who terrorized us goes unprosecuted because he is related to powerful political fundraisers for the D.A.’s political party. i can’t even list all the state and federal laws that are being broken here. corruption run rampant

I have just recently discovered the incompetency of the CPS in texas and the foster care system when I became a kinship caregiver for my husbands nephews. After asking that the older one be removed from my home for continuing to molest his younger brother and then my two year old daughter they removed the younger one from my care based off of false accusations. I would love to get him back, but i want to clear my name most of all I want to clear my name of the wrong doing I was accused of.

Hi there,..
i am a young mother of 3.
I do nothing but try and try to be perfect. I have always co-operated with FACS and have never in SIX YEARS given them a reason to misjudge me and distroy my family..
Out of the blue i had recieved a 60 PG court order stating that i am neglecting,abusing, etc. (For Example - November 5th, 2007. The children were still in pyjamas at 10AM.) Is this against the law..
This is what majority of the reports state FALSE ACCUSATIONS.
I dont wanna lose my children, They need me as they have never been with anybody else..

I am seeking help but am oblivious to where to even start…:(

My name is Nick and I have been involved with DHS in Portland, OR for one year now. My fiancee and I had our daughter removed from our custody when she was 23 hours old. We were not given a reason of why except that a judge signed the paperwork. Nearly 10 months later we finally learned that ou daughter was taken because my ex had filed sexual assault charges against me stating that I had assaulted my 2 year old daughter and my eight year old. The accusations were made through my ex’s 10 year old daughter who has a history of making false allegations through DHS. Now that I know the allegations against me I have been trying to prove my innocence to no avail. The DA himself has been very willing to work with me and does not believe the allegations himself. However DHS has made no efforts to set up the appropriate appointments needed to prove my innocence and get my children back. I am stuck and do not know what to do and really could use any advice possible. Thank you, Nick.

I CAUGHT THE FOSTER BROTHER MOLESTING MY SON WHILE WE OVER TO VISIT THE FORMER FOSTER FAMILY THAT MY SON HAD BEEN IN FOR THE LAST 2 YRS. THE POLICE ARE AXTING LIKE THERE NOT GOING TO TAKE ANY ACTION AGAINST THE CHILD WHO WAS 14 MOLESTING MY 3YR OLD SON. I AM DISTROUGHT I AM 5AND A HALF MONTHS PREGNANT AND AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE STRESS THAT IS BEING OUT ON TO MY UNBORN BABY. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT CIVIAL ACTION CAN BE DONE IN THE HONER OF MY SON.
