Child Protective Services, CPS, has devastated and destroyed hundreds of thousands of families in America during the last thirty years leaving a trail of broken hearts, broken dreams, and shattered childhoods.
Rather than helping families, government agents have used unconstitutional laws in Juvenile Court to rip children away from their loving parents, break asunder God-given, natural, parent-child bonds, and adopt the children of the grieving out to others who profit financially with large monthly adoption subsidy payments.
Child Protective Services must be stopped! The law that started this, CAPTA, must be repealed. We must work tirelessly to inform the public of this very dangerous travesty of justice. We must keep faith knowing that if there is a God, there is an answer and a way to end this heartache.
Child Protective Services Agents - please come to your senses! Family destruction on false or trivial grounds is wrong, reprehensible, and inhumane.
Fosterers - be aware that for the money you get you are holding much-loved children away from their grieving families while the parents are forced to perform a service plan that is anything but a service to them. I call this hostage holding for the government. This is not kindness - to help misguided government agents destroy family relationships and break loving bonds.
CPS workers and fosterers - I ask that you now let the children of the innocent return to their homes where they are truly valued, adored, and loved by the parents God gave them.
Family rights are God-given rights. And they should not be ignored or postponed. Every moment these loving parents and children spend separated from one another is a torment beyond what anyone should ever have to bear.
It is unworthy of human dignity to allow this terrorism and torture of families to go on without saying something, speaking out, and trying to make a change.
Site mission: To provide information and support for families attacked by Child Protective Services and child welfare agents, especially those families facing false or trivial accusations of child abuse or neglect; and for researchers working to protect natural family rights.

Fighting Child Protective Services False Accusations

October 30, 2007
Relatives of a 17-month-old child killed in foster care say they tried to warn CPS caseworkers that the child, Tamaihia Lynae Moore, was in need of medical care. But CPS workers apparently ignored these pleas. They are now being sued for negligence.
According to an article by Crystal Carreon in the Sacramento Bee on October 27, 2007, Tamaihia’s grandmother saw her two days before she died and noted a large bruise on her forehead and scratches on her back. She said the child seemed disoriented. She begged a CPS social worker to take Tamaihia to a hospital. At an earlier visit on October 7, Tamaihia seemed dehydrated and malnourished. The grandmother contacted CPS that time too and was told the matter would be taken care of. Apparently the CPS social worker ignored the issues, which resulted in Tamaihia’s death.
The foster parent, Tamekca Walker, 34, has been charged with felony assault resulting in the death of a child.

Did anyone read the comments on this article? I am so sick of hearing how it’s the Parents or the families fault.
This almost happened to my granddaughter. The only reason it didn’t is because someone with Channel 13 cared enough to get involved.
CPS is in it for the money and only the money. They don’t make any money moving a child from one foster home to the next.
I complained and so did my daughter and son in law on many, many occasions. They did not care until the news got involved.
They lied to the Judge and all kinds of other things. One day if Linda will allow me to I will post the things I have.
I have the transcripts….. They don’t lie…. However, I can show you who did and it wasn’t us!!!!!!!

Also, they don’t want the family to have the child… they don’t make as much money off of them.

Another child gone at the hands of inept and plain stupid CPS workers. They need to charge her with murder and aggravated assault along with the foster mother… so sad!!!
Comment by Jasmin — October 30, 2007 @ 6:05 pm
Absolutely outrageous, and I hope that the CPS office involved is flooded with phone calls, letters, and “visitors” demanding accountability. The department needs to be sued, as does the foster parent. It won’t bring the child back, but certainly it would send a message to this out-of-control agency, and to individuals who shouldn’t be allowed to become foster parents. Where on earth was their oversight by the caseworker and her supervisor??

I’m so glad I found this site.
A 1-year-old ward of the state of NE died Sept. 27 and HHS is reviewing it’s policies. New policy: children before families”. What a laugh. Parental rights will trump every time regardless.
I went through the system with my grandson. Result: He lives in fear and is at best tolerated in the household for the child support Mom needs (3 siblings from 3 different Dads and stepdad), is the subject of sibling bullying, confined to his room weeks at the time, lost 10 lbs during fist month, med’s discontinued, therapy discontinued, friend is allowed to punish him, no clean cloths, goes for weeks without underwear, Mom took lighbulb out, stripped his bed and threatened to withhold dinner, step parent obstructed his breathing and next time his mouth will be taped shut, and now I find out that she starts her day by pouring a glass of Vodka. This is 10 months of CPS intervention. When I started to make waves the case worker closed the case. No remedies as to what Mom promised to do and didn’t. I called hotline twice - nothing. The second time they didn’t even visit the home according to my grandson.
Mom had left him when he was 1 1/2 , he grew up with me and my son, my son screwed up (an other story), I took him to her when she promised me she will be a good mother, she send him back to my son to complete the divorce, he send him back to her because he couldn’t afford the day care, broke up with girlfriend, to proud to knock on my door he signed up for the Army and is now oversees while she called the police, told him my grandson was molesting her girls, trying to kill the animals and the girls. CPS took him. Which was just fine because she had no natural bond with him and only imposed rules so he became angry and faught back. The charges she made had no foundation as he never showed such behaviour in foster care, with me, or in school. All along she collected money I was sending for his support. To long to tell it all.
I’m searching for legal remedies for him and this is a beginning. Nothing will change unless we can light up the switchboards of CPS offices like christmas trees, write legislators, go to the media, and if necessary to march in the streets.
Legal remedies are impossible to come by and legal action for minors require legal representation. I have not found a lawyer willing to take on CPS in NE.

I read a few comments on the article. The one thing I have to say is that people lost the sight of the big fact. A child died.
The system failed that child no matter what the cause.
This is tragedy.

Comment by CHARLENE — November 18, 2007 @ 8:02 pm
My grandchildren were physically, sexually & mentally abused in the foster system when they were babies & then again when they were 3 & 4 yrs old.
Now CPS has taken them once again!
Lies after more lies are told by CPS about the parents & grandparents.
They had to lie on me,to get the kids, because a judge placed them permanantly with me in 1997!
You never hear on the news or in the paper about the bad CPS has done. All you ever hear is how big of heroes they are!
I would like to meet just one CPS hero! That would be one who has the stones to stand up & tell the truth on the other ones!

I live in Sacramento Ca.”the state capitol” & my 2 year old daughter passed away March 28,2007 do to negligence. The county left my 4 year old son in foster care. after being already in 3 homes. the county is also giving the “temp” foster home time to become adoptable home. our family already passed the requirements. How many more families NEED to be destroyed before something happens…….. C.P.S. ExCuSsES!!!!!

What a sad state of affairs: cps plays all of us! I am in Johnson County Kansas. Cps of Srs protects the perps and not the victims of abuse….our Dear Children! The money flows…while the children often die or become incapacitated for life! What can be done about this? Just remember: The Squeeky Wheel Gets The Grease. Just don’t land in Jail…or are we already! Cps policies are an abomination.

Actually there are things that can be done. Its just most people are waiting for someone else to do it.
People say that want change, but they stay in the same timid, panic mode (and Im not saying I haven’t been there myself) but then you must come out of that.
CPS is not has powerful has one may think. If the FBI can be sued, CPS can be handled.

I pulled my son out of school due to the teacher getting him naked. I am now having cps show up at my door step. What do i do? I have the school now making things up, i left my other son in due to him having such a good teacher. I am scared, i know if i try and fight back they could just take my kids.
Comment by Mary — December 7, 2007 @ 12:04 pm
Great site. I am glad I found this. It is good to know that there are others who feel that CPS and the system have problems. My wife went to the school councelor for our sons behavioral problems (he hits is sisters and sometimes throws things). We were actively seeking help for this problem. In the past we had him in play therapy. In any event, 1 week after asking the councelor for some advice….CPS shows up on our door step. Ridiculous.
Comment by John Brown — December 11, 2007 @ 8:42 pm
Parents need tyo become a united front and hold CPS accountable. By doing so, the CPS needs to be decentralized and a system of checks and balances needs to be established. Currently CPS has immunity from much wrongdoing, manipulates reports, facts, psychological exams, foster agencies, …etc. Without decentralization, partial privatization and a system of checks and balances all American children are under a constant threat from CPS.

My children in So Co California, are living under guardianship, with the former foster parents, who have lost their foster care license due to abuse of my 3 children and the other two who where in their care.
Under the Ca guardianship, they continue to receive Fed Foster Care Funds. The only difference is that they are no longer under the auspices of the Superior Court Judge. I opted out of Dependency Court and the Commissioner.
I amazes me that those entrusted to allegedly protect the alleged abuse victims, cause more damage and perpetrate more harm then any allegations of alleged abuse in the home.

Clearly there are a lot of voices here. Many of us have been victims, or know victims of this abomination called CPS. Miracles can happen, but a lot of times it means a fight. Maybe even a war. I have called out for a miracle many times in my life, for I am the product of the tormenting horrors of a twisted foster system. But, what really needs to happen is all of our voices need to come together. Ones voice can mean everything to one person and yet nothing to the world. But bring the masses of voices together and we have a family. Families change the world. A lot of times, what we find is we need a shepherd. We need a hero. But what if we all were to come together as a whole?

Internet search:
1. Administrative Law for DSHS/CPS
2. Office of Administrative Hearings, file a fair hearing against CPS, yes CPS
3. Civil rules of the court regarding juvenile court rules. Those court papers have laws they must obey look them up find out if they followed the law.
4. DSHS Internet website. In Washington state it is www1.dshs.wa.gov
5. Go to the Law Library look up family law desk book
6. go to the Public Library they have law information
7. Request copies of Policy Manual for CPS and Procedure Manual for CPS it is also on the DSHS web site. The copies of the manuals are FREE!
8. Communicate by paper either by snail mail, fax, E-mail it’s a paper trail and a legal document for the courts to be used against CPS.
9. The CPS workers from the case worker, supervisor, area administrator, regional administrator, and assistant secretary all share the decision making on a case and all are liable for the mistakes of one. CPS can be sued in Washington state I believe.
10. Keep everything they give you and anticipate their next move before court. Take the extra parenting classes the more eyes that see how you behave the better it looks for you!
11. I am an Alaska Native who’s case did not get handled according to CPS’ active efforts of locating and directly referring me to services. Make them provide proof of their claims of active efforts make them give you copies of CPS referrals for ALL SERVICES not just the ones they send you to like psychologist for evaluations.
12. Educate the public on what you have learned on your CPS research knowledge is power.
13. GO TO THE COURT HOUSE request your case file know what they know about you read the lies! Fill a declaration statement and write your thoughts out and file them in court.
14. I myself am gathering my evidence against them by means of college transcripts, Employment Security Records of places worked and monies earned, medical records from the CPS themselves! Request your records what are you waiting for?
15. Locate people in authority that are involved with your case I don’t care who they are they all have a boss, get the drift? Make your requests via E-mail be professional and non-threatening, send your requests/complaints to all of the workers for the DSHS system, they all have to act or look stupid because they didn’t. They know I will follow up and keep on working them until I get what I want from them. My daddy always said the squeeky wheel gets the grease.
16. Commit yourself to God believe that he will help and give him thanks and praises for the little victories along the way. Much Luck to all on your travels let me know how you are doing!

My mother and her 6 siblings were all raised in 6 different foster homes due to phisical and sexual abuse in thier home. All of their foster homes were loving and supportive and all of them have only wonderful things to say about their foster parents. I am also a foster parent and am a loving and caring person who loves children. I hope it makes some of you feel better knowing that there are a great many kind and loving people who foster parent simply because they love children and want to see them get through a tough time during their lives. May all children have the blessings of warm, loving adults to care for them.
