I have been charged with Dependent Neglect by the Franklin TN DCS. My case went to trial the first time in Sept/Oct 2006 and the judge dismissed the charges against me. DCS has filed an appeal and as of Oct 2007, the de Novo trial has yet to begin. I have not seen my 13 year old daughter since Jan 07. This case began as the result of an angry ex-husband and ex-mother. This is the second generation, that I am aware of, for this family to get revenge by false allegations. My nightmare began July 7, 2006 and continues. I am looking for an organization where I can look for help and advise, but also want to get involved to help others in the same insane place and take action against the system that is out of control.

I am a grandmother of two boys. Their ages are 4 years and 1 year. In June of 2005 my oldest grandson was taken from his mother in Kitsap County, Washington State. I requested that he be placed with me, but the DCFS refuesed to let me have coustdy. Stating that I had an extecsive history with CPS. He has been put up for addoption, and his aunt has qualified to addopt him but was refused as of September 2007. No budy in my family has seen him since the state took him away. I am fighting this any way I can. So if there is any Attorney out there that is not afraid of taking on the State of Washington please let me know. I have tried hiring a attorney in Bermerton, Washington, but he did nothing and charged me $2,000 to do it. Please be advised that money is not an issue. I do not have much but can come up with it if neccessary. Loving grandmother missing her grandsons very much. My younger grand son is curently at my sisters home here in Yakima. We are awaiting DCFS decision in this case as the only reason they have him is based on the first case. He is also a registired Native American Indian, and the Yakima DCFS has not contected his tribe as of October 16, 2007. So once again if there is any Attorney willing to help me please let me know.

cps down in va were called on a case involving 2 kids being abused and they never came and the result of it all one girl was shot in the head and one shot and lived through it they were called several times and never showed up.

I am desprately seeking legal counsel. The state took my son at 31/2 weeks old because the hospital said the drug test they took (without permission or notification) came back positive for Methamphetamines….I strand tested the moment I was let out after my surgery and strand tested for the state…both were negative…however, the state still refuses to return my son. HELP ME Please….

Thank you for having a website like this. The first weeks since my brother Ronald was arrested by the police accusing him of eploiting his own daughter all of us was thrown off balance with restraining order, lack of sleep, posting bail bond and hiring a lawyer to represent my brother and their four children taken by the CPS. We filed a moion to get custody of the children but CPS delaying and bullying tactics is evident in every moves we take. Now the police was arresting again my brother for the second time and they were asking the bond be raised. We are financially burden and keep praying that somehow the CPS will return the children to their own biological mother Karen or immediate relatives. Will you help us please? My brother Ronald court hearing is the 26th November.

To everyone posting on this section:

You must indicate your STATE and county if you want an attorney to contact you.

You should also type in ( do not use the @ symbol) a valid email addy so an attorney ( should he find your case valid contact you)

BTW, reseach the attorney before you hire him by Googling him or asking folks in your neighborhood what his professional reputation is.

Basically, folks would read your story and try to decide whether you have a valid, winnable legal case.

Family law attorneys would probably be the specialty closest to what you want. Unless you have a complicated Constitutional issue, or Administrative Law issue.

If you are low-income the state should provide you with a Court appointed attorney.

The seizure of a child wrongfully is a major no-no, but the trick lies in successfully convincing the Court as such.

This is a piggy back on my brother Ronald and sis-in-law Karen’s court battle with CPS. They lived in Pittsburgh, California. We would appreciate if somebody knows a family lawyer with a track record on this kind of case. The case is based on a letter written by his own daughter shared to her close friend in school. Her friend showed it to her mother which in turn showed the letter to the school authorities where my niece attended. It’s been more than two weeks now since the four children are under the custody of CPS. It’s been clear that that they wanted my brother be put in jail by raising the bond after we posted he first. This raising of the bail happened while the children are still in CPS hands. You can reach me a 808-295-0314. First I want to say what a tremendous help your website is. It really helped open my wifes eyes to what these people are about.
just this past thursday the school had a social worker talk to my son instead of the phycologist that is plainly stated in his IEP. The social worker minipulated my son and upon hearing that he was paddled they wanted to take pictures. My son tried to get away but they use excessive force when restraining him and they said that if he did not comply with their demands that they would hurnt him more. at this point he was forced to drop his pants and they took pictures of a bruise that he got from running into the arm of the couch while playing with his other brothers. they then called cps who came to our house. not knowing our rights my wife let them in. in a 24 hour period they have been in my home twice and interveiwed my other 2 boys. it was not untill after this that we discovered your website. The school never called the police. I called the police as soon as I had heard what happened and to my disblief what the school did was not against the law. apperently they can do what ever they want if it is under the guise of helping the child. My son is scared and embarassed by what they did to him and I am under investigation or should I say ” I am a target of a witch hunt” upon me calling 911 the police came to my house and made a report. they said there was no reason for cps to even be involved but they will not stop harassing our family. If there is anyone that could offer us advice or help I would appriciate it. thank-you again for this wonderful website.

On god my heart goes out to all the families who have had this run in with the evil ones and they are truely evil ive been fighting for over three years to get my son back my wife and I are so drained but we keep fighting our story is like so many others you just cant believe its happening to you my son is being adopted to a gay couple and my wife daughter was given back to the molestor believe it or not all we did was take her to the hospital because she said she was having sex with her dad and wanted it to stop in the police report he admitted it I guess being high on drugs and belonging to the gang tesk force in los angeles has its perks sorry i couldnt help you michael I cant help myself william gleason

I run a in home daycare. I have for 17 years. No problems. In sept 2006 a child enrolled in my daycare broke her ler at her home in her mothers care. She was out for two weeks. when she returned the mother was very distant towards me and my staff. One week prior to her accident the child attended my childs birthday party. This mother went from parent to parent raving about my daycare. (I had also watched her older child who moved unto preschool two years before. a few days after returning to daycare (sept 28 2006) the mother called to inform me that my home was “no longer appropreate” and her last day would be the next day (sept 29th) I didn’t go into details on the phone because I thought it best to dicuss this in person. The next evening when the child was picked up I asked the mother why she was upset. She said “it was a number of things but the final straw was that she walked in to daycare and observed my husband watching something inappropreate on tv with a daycare child present. I asked my husband in her presents and he said he had recorded womans wrestling from USA and was watching that. He said “no children were present and he turned it off when she walked in”. NOTE: I was dressing my toddler for school that morning, when I came out to the living room only her child was present. She went on to say that she didn’t agree that we had put my child in a catholic preschool and had she known we were catholic she wouldn’t have left her children with me. She was upset that one of my assitants was pregnant and unmarried. She went on to say that I was a unfit mother because my 23 yr old autistic son was living in an assistant living program. I tried to explain that he had been in this program for 5 years because he had to learn to live on his own. Besides my son had not lived at home since I had started watching her children and that this was not a daycare issue. It seemed that she was “grapping at straws”and I told her that our conversation was over and wished her the best in her new daycare. 5 months later, Feb 2007 CPS shows up at my house. They won’t tell me why they are there but I know it’s because of this woman. They claim there is another woman with a complaint as well. As time went on I discovered that a parent who moved on to preschool the month before, had called claiming that she also caught my husband watching something inappropreate. What she didn’t tell them was that this was three years ago, It was a old 1970’s drama called “bah bah black sheep” about world war two. she told cps it was recent and the reason she removed both her children. The fact is her older child was released from my care two years before because she was disrepestful to me and my staff. I still kept the younger child until aug 2006 when he moved unto preschool. Both woman attend the same church and preschool. They called former parents that had left years before and told them “God knows what” but got them to tell CPS the same thing. I had proof of who left daycare and the dates. This info was recorded with DSS. However CPS refused to look at it.
They served me with this paper and told me I’d never be allowed around children again. They then went to my 5 year old childs school. I had my lawyer on the phone and they refused to talk with her. I informed them I wanted my lawyer present. They refused. They went to my childs school. (I have been rasing my niece as my daughter since she was 1 years old we are the only parents she remembers) When they were finished she ran to us crying saying they told her she could not call us mommy and daddy anymore. she had to call us aunt and uncle. Then they made an appointment for her to be screen by childrens hospital. Once again I was informed I couldn’t have a lawyer present. My lawyer told them they were in volation. They said if I didn’t take her to the interview they would take her. They video taped the interview without my premission. After the interview they told me that they felt my child had “seen things”. They wanted to cont to interview her on a regular basis. I told them she already was seeing a therapist since age two because the situation she came from. They tried to force us to change to therapists. I said “no”. My childs therapist informed CPS they were in voliation of codes of ethics. The woman who said she observed this inapporeate tv told cps she walked right out with her child. The fact is her child was there at 3:30 during a daycare inspection and marked as present at that time. They talked to all my daycre parents and found nothing inappropreate. The reveiwed my attendance sheets and found the child she claimed was present was on vacation. Finally they sent me an unfounded letter after months of asking. The letter had these two womans older childen as “victims” whom I hadn’t watched in two years. Why? because the younger children who I was watching were to young to interview. A month after getting the letter (which wasn’t in my name but in the name of my daycare monitor) They called wanting my childs “real” parents” address phone numbers etc… I told them I haven’t heard from the mother since I took custody of the child four years ago, and the father was in jail. I haven’t heard from them since that was In Apr 2007. But the two woman have now resorted to calling the city zoning etc.. and making up things. They even called the IRS and said I didn’t pay my employees taxes, which was a lie I’ve always paid them and I had documentaion. This all started because this child broke her leg, in three places going down a slide with her mother. Her mother felt quilty and decided to Make my life hell. Now I’m always affraid that someone is going to my child. I’m affraid to go to the store for fear of seeing them and having them start somthing else. I’m depressed about this and have no one to talk too.

im hoping for a new case worker,my story needs to be told.after being injured at work no ins they took my angel saying i cant care for her.instead of helping us as a family they decided to destroy me instead.im due to start phy. therapy on the 1st of nov for a broken neck . d.c.f has started the adoption process for my baby girl .saying im not in compliance with my case plan.the judge has finally ordered them to examine my medical records to see if i was hurt or not.its been 10 mo,s since the accident and im ready to go back to work and continue raising my angel w/o any help from d.c.f i hope.pray for us.

Hello all:

Thanks for the website. Great info. And thanks for the forum to vent and find support. I’ll condense this as much as possible. My now 17 year old daughter got involved with a 32 old man in NC online. We live in Florida. When I contacted the FBI, she found out, and tried to destroy her PC. She also ran away the night I called them, and when she came back, she falsely accused my husband of having made sexual advances towards her. That investigation has been closed as unfounded, as was the original DCF investigation because of her running away and the allegations. She ran away again on July 28th, 2007, but this time he came from NC and took her back with him. She was gone for 4 weeks. We begged help from everyone. The Police, Sheriffs, FBI, state attorney, et al, to no avail. Finally, we spent $3000 to hire a PI, who found her within 4 days. We brought her home on 8/30/07, but she was a stranger. Super-rebellious, making threats against me daily, defiant, disrespectful, and insisted she would make her way back to her bf in NC. About one week after we brought her home, on a Saturday night, she began her nightly badgering session with me, making the usual threats of her bf coming to Florida to harm me, and burn my house down. She was angry because I wouldn’t allow her computer access, too. We got into an altercation, and she was kicking me in the stomach and pushing me while I attempted to restrain her. When I couldn’t control her, I was afraid for myself and my 3 other children, so I called 911. Well, my good faith effort in calling LE resulted in my going to jail for child abuse. There were no marks or bruises on her body, but there was on me. My husband and I, again, in a good faith effort because we knew I was innocent, allowed our 6 year old daughter to speak privately to the police officer. That was a mistake, and one we will NEVER make again. The next morning, she went to her father in tears, wanting to know why what she said caused me to go to jail. He asked her what was said, and she told him the police officer told her to keep it a secret. He insisted she tell him, so she did. The officer didn’t like my daughter’s version’s of events, which was the truth, so he framed a question for her, and told her to just say yes. The question was, did your mother attack your sister. Apparently, in all domestic violence calls, it is policy for someone to go to jail, and it’s easier to take the adult than the child. At any rate, I was in jail, and her father was out of state at a wedding, and my daughter refused to stay with my husband, so they took her into DCF custody, and now the nightmare really begins. They had a mystery hearing at a mystery time on Sunday morning, which neither her father or I were told of, nor could we attend if we had wanted to, so now we are being dragged to court on charges of child abandonment, both of us. No notification, no due process. Nothing. They have been pushing hard for us to sign some sort of care plan, and we have refused. We no longer cooperate with them in good faith, because we have no faith left. They continue to threaten and intimidate us, but now they are dealing with our attorney exclusively, despite the fact that they hate it. We are documenting everything, every phone call, every detail. Despite our attorneys lawful submission for discovery, they have not yet given us any records at all, and the hearing is Thursday. They have violated our due processes right so many times now I’ve lost count. However, thanks to web sites like this one, we will be prepared to take them on. And the kicker. While in DCF custody, my daughter’s money was stolen. She was racially discriminated against. She was placed in a room with another girl who had previously been charged with attempted murder for stabbing another girl in the head. This same girl hurled a remote control at my daughter, resulting in bruising and a gash to her forehead. This same girl had herpes, and threatened my daughter that she would infect her if she did anything she didn’t like. My daughter was terrified for her life, and wouldn’t sit on the toilets in the house. When she was sick, her father had to meet her at a walk-in clinic and pay for her treatment. She ran away-twice-and she has now been missing from DCF custody for 4 weeks. These bastards are STILL dragging us into their kangaroo court, and insisting we comply with their care plan package, guaranteed to totally destroy my family, before we’ve even presented a case to the judge! The arrogance demonstrated by these state agents is stunning. The case worker has not called me ONE TIME about my daughter since they took her. If it weren’t for her and her father calling me, I would know nothing about the well being of the child I have raised and loved for 17 years. I’ll let you all know how it goes on Thursday.

You know, now it seems that DCF chooses to attack the middle class, too.

You should hear the screams from RN’s ( registered nurses) who think their licenses are imperiled.

Teens have become uncontrollable since the advent of CPS.

What is worse is when the DYFS contractors kids are pushing hard-core illegal drugs to naive teen girls.

There is truly a lot of evil in CPS and their minions.

Please register on the Message Boards and speak to folks in FL who can connect you with folks in the same predicament.

Linda has been doing this site as a labor of love and concern for years.

And look at the numerous videos on Youtube about DCF.

The best to you & your family.

Teens have no idea what heartbreak they can cause their family by their unthinking behavior.

Please, do not say one more word to DCF.

DCF= Florida, Connecticut, and New Jersey. They change their agency initialisms to confuse folks.

Is it possible that CPS has now become recklessly desperate in trolling for *warm bodies* to predate upon??

Dear Sharon Keep going through your lawyer. Don’t trust anthing CPS tells you. Care plan… They wanted me to switch my childs theapist to their theapist. Thank God their theapist had common sense. I refused to switch said he could talk to my daughter in my presents. He told me I had canceled the appointment. (I was there I hadn’t canceled an appointment) I callled the head of the hospital who told us both CPS canceled the appointment. At this point the hospital and their therapist backed out of the case. The therapist said “this is a lawsuit in the making”. So CPS was trying to make it look like i was not corperating. These people lied, broke their own code of ethics and volilated their own regulations. Who watched them? How do we get some one to monitor CPS?

To those of you who live in L.A. and missed the L.A. TIMES articles on 11/7/07 and 11/8/07 by Jack Leonard re the misuse of gift cards meant for foster kids by DCFS, go to latimes.com and read them.

Of particular note is the response from county supervisors Mike Antonovich, Gloria Molina and Zev Yaroslavsky. The 11/8/07 article states that “Molina balmed a long-standing culture in the department that she said bred a sense of entitlement among a small but influential number of employees.” She is quoted as stating, “I think there’s many a social worker there who have probably been there too long, who don’t understand their own personal mission and responsibility,” and they “should be moving on….”

These are your elected officials and they are acknowleding there is a problem so you need to bring your case to their attention so they can learn the far-reaching scope of their discovery.

Look for Linda’s suggestions on this site on how to format your letter. I’ve been struggling with my own letter and found her suggestions helpful.

I was lucky in that I had a good therapist. He was about to retire after years of working with CPS. After a few sessions, he told me he was convinced I was not a child abuser and he did not need to see my daughter (who was then 2). He said what he usually did was set up a session where parents brought their child & he watched them together to see how they interacted. But he believed me and wrote a letter to CPS stating that he did not believe I had abused my daughter. He confided in me that he was fed up with years of “crap” from CPS & caseworkers shoving families at him. Without that letter I’m sure my case would have dragged on for more months. He wrote it in October & my case was closed in December (years ago).

Hello all:

Thank you Betsy and Fern, for your helpful comments. Since I last posted, we’ve been through two more court hearings. The last one was today. The judge keeps pushing us off. It’s irritating. At the first hearing, my daughter’s father had never been given an official summons at all, and when the AAG casually mentioned he was never served until he entered the court room, the judge had no problem with it. At the hearing last Thursday, she slapped the AAG on the wrist for not providing discovery until 5 minutes before we entered the court room. Is this the Soviet Union, or Nazi Germany, or is it really the USA? At that time, the judge gave both defense and prosecution 30 hours to provide case law and discovery. The statutes require 10 days. We filed for discovery on October 10th. kangaroo court, here we come. Today, when the judge found out our daughter has been missing for 5 weeks, she re-scheduled the “trial” for December 19th. No one told her. My God~!! We are looking up case law now. And about those care plans which we still refuse to sign. I say to all of you-DO NOT SIGN THEM. These people have found me guilty of child abuse without any formal charges being filed against me. In the care plan, I am forbidden to spank my children, I must see a psychiatrist. I must attend anger management. I have NOT been formally charegd with anything. The abuse of due process here is unbelievable. Please do not let them intimidate you if you find yourself in this circumstance. Let them attempt to prove you guilty, and I bet they can’t do it. Please, DO NOT go along with this crap. Thankfully, my attorney practices Constitutional Law. We will be appealing any and all bad judgments as far as it takes us. I’ll keep you all posted, and I’m looking to network with fellow Floridians. Thanks for the info on that.

i have some questions im a 30 year old woman i have 3 beautiful children that i have lost custody of however i do see them daily the only catch is now im in a better place ive done alot of growing up i want my babies back i no longer live the life style i once did my mother has legal custody of them and if anything were to happen to her would i be able to have them back again?

A little just derserts here in Virginia. Virginia state social services (which i did not know existed) Did a unannouncesed inspection of DSS in rfolk. Well seems the social workers were cutting themselves food stamps cards (due to hurricane Issabell) which did not impact our area. They were also taking emergency cash cards. In addition the they had set up a computer training course for needy woman and from there were suppose to place these woman into a job. (I know someone whi signed up) however they got the federal money, but no course. The virginia dept of social services said they have never seen such fruad. Well now they are investagation all countys to see if there was fruard elsewhere. I am sure there is. What goes around comes around.

For all of you suffering the agonizing pain of losing your children to CPS, you will not come out of your ordeal the same. I didn’t. I have absolutely no faith and trust in anyone. This has affected my job, my personal relationships, my social life. The happiness I had at being a mother was, truthfully, never fully regained. I loved my child, of course, but I was always on the alert and always very defensive and paranoid. The what-ifs kept me awake many many nights. What if someone sees that bruise she got while playing and thinks I did it? What if someone sees her screaming fit in the grocery store and thinks I hit her? The worst was our pediatrician, who had always been friendly to me. After I was falsely accused, I stupidly gave the pediatrician’s name to CPS when they asked for it. I’m sure they contacted him. He was as cold as ice to me after that. Once he asked my daughter (several years after it happened, she was about 9 or 10 by then) how she got the scratch on her abdomen. I started to explain about the cat, and he cut me off and said sharply “I asked her the question, not you.” My daughter said she’d been holding the cat too closely and got scratched. I lived in fear for weeks after that incident, that CPS would knock on my door again and the whole nightmare would return. I didn’t switch pediatricians because I’m sure there was a notation or letter of some sort in her file from or about the CPS investigation; that would have gone with the file and I would not have been treated differently by another doctor. Thankfully it’s in the past now, but I still think about how much it affected my life.

My daughters children were stollen from her by CPS in Onslow County NC. Over the past serveral months I have learned that CPS workers agenda is not the welfare of the children, it is solely to take the children from my daughter. No matter how much they have to lie and ignore the abusive person they have placed them with. We have looked for a better attorney than the one appointed by the county, but have found that the only attorneies that take these cases are others on their list of CPS regular lawyers. We don’t know what to do, it’s like a circus and everyone from her attorney to the judge seems to be part of the problem. The reality is that my daughter who has done nothing to harm her children. She was reported to CPS by her estranged abusive husband. Because she did not kiss the feet of Sue Patterson the CPS case worker on the first meeting, her children, her rights, her dignity, her home and her life were taken away from her by Sue Patterson. Nothting in the origingal report indicates any harm caused by my daughter and no imShe has dropped out of nursing school and has turned her life upside down. She has been restricted to seeing two of her children 1 hour suppervised every two weeks and the other two were sent out of state to live with a father who has made no attempt to contact them in 6 yrs. Every time she has complained about her treatment her visits have been taken away. It seems that’s Onslow counties way of punishment for complaints. CPS is there to protect children from abusers. Who the heck is going to protect the public from CPS?

My name is Terry Trent, I am a Deputy Marshal, for a small in Indiana . I have 3 children with my first wife, Taylor (8 yrs old), Terry Jr, (7 yrs old) & Trinity (4 yrs old). I have the 2 older children living with me and my new wife, also My current Wife has 3 children , Justin (15 yrs old almost 16 and Ashley(14 yrs old) and Sabrina (12yrs old) all five were taken by CPS here in Indiana.

What has happened is that my child Terry Jr, has been disrupted at school, destroying school supplies, Bullying children in class, putting his hands on other children whenever he feels like( In Indiana schools have No-contract policy) so we have taken T.V. from little Terry, put him in the corner and everything els including Corporal Punishment or spanking, those things are not to working. In January of this yr (2007) Little Terry was diagnosed as having ADHD. But, I believe he has a short fuse and believes he doesn’t have to listen to anyone but, me (his father). Me and my ex don’t get along and she tells little Terry not to listen to no one. So I spanked my son 2 nights in a row for being bad on the bus & at school and it may have put a bruise on his bottom. Little Terry also got into fight on the play ground and he threw a fit in the class room when he knew the Teacher had called his parents. I don’t beat my children, I just spanked him. They came out on Halloween and took all 5 children from our residence at 8pm. They are not charging me with neglect they believe, I just was to rough on Terry’s spanking. The older children said that little Terry does get into trouble at school and thinks he doesn’t have to mind anyone. We go to Court November 16, 2007 they want to CHINS the children then, Our Lawyer wants my wife children out of the CHINS .We are not sure what will happen. We believe that CPS has too much control and power over peoples children. They don’t help the children, they could have just left the children at home and had me leave until they figure out what they need me to do, and they say that they ONLY remove children that are in imminent danger. By me spanking my child doesn’t mean the children were in imminent danger. There is a web-site called Honkforkids.com they are for changing CPS, I believe they have to much control over people and there children.

Hi all:

Well, the charges against us are being dismissed on Tuesday. When my attorney petitioned to deposition everyone involved, including the DCF worker who lied repeatedly, and we have solid proof, they backed off. However, they have not seen the last of us, because we are suing everyone involved, including the police officers. It may well be the only way for me to clear my name. At this point, with what I’ve seen, what my family has been through, and all the tearful horror stories I have listened to outside the courtroom doors, we refuse to let up on these criminals with badges. Win or lose, I don’t care. We want to expose these people in a real court room, and we want to see it done over and over again, by others as well. I should be happy, and I am, but I don’t know if I’ll ever be the same again. I stay strong for my babies, but I am very depressed, and anxious. The emotional roller coaster of the last few months is catching up with me. I wake up at night, panicked, unable to breath, with my heart racing. I run to the back of the house and check to see if my kids are in bed. I have horrible nightmares where I am once again falsely accused and taken to jail. I run to the front of the house and peep through the blinds, looking for the police to come and take me or my kids. During the day, every time I hear a car door slam, or hear voices outside, I run to the windows, paranoid. Will this ever go away? I don’t think so. I will never trust anyone in law enforcement or state authority positions again. Never. My 6 year old and I will be seeking counseling for this. She was so traumatized by what the police did to her, and so was I. I don’t want to spend the rest of my child rearing days in a state of paranoia. The only one completely unaffected by this thus far is my renegade 17 year runaway old who caused this whole mess in the first place. Never give up people. Fight them, every step of the way. Resist every effort to force your compliance. They can be beat, but it isn’t easy. If anyone in the Tampa area needs excellent counsel, I’ll be happy to send you my attorney’s information. Hello, All, well its been a long time since i have been here. I have been working on everything going on in my life. However, If any of you have read what my life has been like for the past few months. It has been awful. well i got on here, a while ago and said that i have had an Investagation going on got c.p.s. Workers, well here it is CYS. aNY WAY. tHEY REALLY WERENT MY PROBLEM. mY HUZBAND WAS ACCUSED OF UN THINKABLE ACTS WITH MY FOUR YEAR OLD DAUGHTER, SOON TO BE FIVE ON THE 23RD OF THIS MONTH. aNY WAY my huzband passed the POLYGRAPH TEST WHICH BY THE WAY WILL BE ADMISSABLE IN COURT. DUE TO THE FACT THAT I AM REPRESENTING MYSELF WHEN IT COMES TO MY DAUGHTER. THE FATHER IS ALL OUT OF OPTIONS. AND NO WHERE ELSE TO TURN. AND SO IS CYS. If cps had taken your children and you have had a court date, You can indeed PETITION THE COURTS FOR EITHER A MOTION OR A PEPTITION TO REVISE THE ORDER WITH YOUR PROOF, AND TO FILE THESE ORDRES YOU CAN DO FOR FREE WITH A FORMA PUPERIS. a WAIVER TO FILE AS A POOR PERSON. aND YOU CAN FIND OUT HOW TO DO THIS IN YOUR LOCAL LAW LIBRARY. IN THE PENNSYLVAINA RULES OF COURT 2007 REVISED EDITION, IN THE CUSTODY AND VISITATION SECTION. AND THE PAGES RANGE FROM 250 ON.. I FELL THAT THESE PEOPLE TARGET US BECAUSE WE ARE POOR, BUT THERE ARE LOOP HOLES. YOU CAN BE YOUR OWN ATTORNEY. Hey, i am needing advice my 24 year old step son and his wife has lost their2 children by cps to my sister in law. they were told to clean their house and they will get their children back. now 94 days later my step sons grandparents have told them they were backing his aunt the cps officer has never contacted them again and aways go to my sister in laws. they have never recieved a court date to go before a judge to deniy the claim. todday my husband’s ex calls and said that my sister in law said cps were going to termaite the parents rights so they can adopt them. They denied me and my husband custody because of my old divorce hearing about my oldest two kids who me and my ex aggree to livve with his parents cause we do not get along, they said we could not get custody IS THAT EVEN LEGAL? to deny custody of grandchildren because of a divorce aggrement? (I remarried an older man) my daughter in law is expecting their 3rd child and were told last week by her doctar that cps has contacted him to report when she goes into labor and they were taking the baby out of the hospital. oh did i mention that my father in law and sister in law were planning this so my sister in law can get tax right offs this year. they both have now told my stepson and his wife it will be a frezing day in hades before they get them back. my husband and i have over heard them planning this months before cps took my granchildren.my own stepdaughter is the one who called in i need so advice this was a planned out by members of this family months before it took place and divide my family, my husband refuses to talk to his parents sister or daughter, my stepson has threatened to hurt his sister if he sees her, and two children fixing to be three are caught in the middle. CPS has enter this and left this family a mess and shattered

Just like Sharon posted, keep fighting. I felt some of the things she did — waking up in the middle of the night, heart pounding, thinking I’d heard someone knocking on the door. I’d hear car doors slam and I’d run to the window to look, shaking with fright. Once an unfamiliar car pulled in the driveway but it was just someone turning around, it was a while before I could stop shaking. Your life will, really, never be the same, even years after. The caseworker first knocked on my door with a “referral” the day before Christmas Eve (years ago), right in the middle of when I was putting up my holiday decorations. It was literally years before I could again decorate my home for the holidays; the sight of the decorations made me sick. There is nothing like the suffocating feeling of being falsely accused. CPS takes every little thing in your life and twists it around. Counseling (with someone of your choice, not theirs) might help, but the counselor will not understand your ordeal unless he/she has been through it too. Even years later, the fact that my good name was taken from me still burns. My every action was probed, questioned, written down, discussed. The fact that I have a hot temper did not work in my favor. I was angry, emotional, and the CPS worker put it down as “hostile and defensive.” I had been laid off from my job and was enjoying the time at home with my little girl. They put it down as “chronically unemployed.” The more I tried to convince them I was innocent the more they believed I was guilty. For so long, even after it was over and my case was finally closed, I felt the shame, the fury. I thought of suing but figured I didn’t stand a chance of winning. This time of year brings it all back, all the years I feared it would happen again, until my child reached 18 and I felt I could live without fear again. Thanks for letting me vent!
