Rather than helping families, government agents have used unconstitutional laws in Juvenile Court to rip children away from their loving parents, break asunder God-given, natural, parent-child bonds, and adopt the children of the grieving out to others who profit financially with large monthly adoption subsidy payments.
Child Protective Services must be stopped! The law that started this, CAPTA, must be repealed. We must work tirelessly to inform the public of this very dangerous travesty of justice. We must keep faith knowing that if there is a God, there is an answer and a way to end this heartache.
Child Protective Services Agents - please come to your senses! Family destruction on false or trivial grounds is wrong, reprehensible, and inhumane.
Fosterers - be aware that for the money you get you are holding much-loved children away from their grieving families while the parents are forced to perform a service plan that is anything but a service to them. I call this hostage holding for the government. This is not kindness - to help misguided government agents destroy family relationships and break loving bonds.
CPS workers and fosterers - I ask that you now let the children of the innocent return to their homes where they are truly valued, adored, and loved by the parents God gave them.
Family rights are God-given rights. And they should not be ignored or postponed. Every moment these loving parents and children spend separated from one another is a torment beyond what anyone should ever have to bear.
It is unworthy of human dignity to allow this terrorism and torture of families to go on without saying something, speaking out, and trying to make a change.

Fighting Child Protective Services False Accusations

Howard Hendrick, head of the Oklahoma DHS state agency, is under investigation for child neglect. His 13-year-old son was injured while they were burning brush at a lake house earlier this month.
According to an article on the Tulsa World website, an anonymous caller complained that the director didn’t act quickly enough to get medical help for his child. The director said the nearest hospital was 45 miles away, so they waited until the next morning.
Hendrick says he phoned a doctor immediately when the injury occurred. If the doctor recommended waiting, then that should end the case. Hendrick wouldn’t comment on how badly his son was injured but did say he is doing well. He also said, “I think he will fully recover.” To me that sounds like there’s some possibility he won’t. They have my sympathy … especially the injured child.
A comment on the Tulsa World article says, “I hope things turn out fairly for this family but I also hope the director sees how innocent families are treated poorly and lied to during the investigation process.” Honestly, I doubt that he’ll learn how DHS or CPS social workers treat poor folks. This case work will be under intense scrutiny and anyone working on it will be unwilling to lie and frame the man using false accusations. (Just my opinion on what will happen with the case.) I think it will be dismissed almost immediately. Yes, they got a report (probably anonymous) and he’s being investigated, but that doesn’t mean there were be an open DHS case against this man.

P.S. - Speaking as someone who lives 75 miles from the nearest hospital - if my children were injured and the local clinic was closed, I could phone our local ambulance service. They check out injuries and provide transportation if needed, the entire way to the hospital. 45 miles is nothing - when a child is badly injured, he should be seen as quickly as possible. I’m sure the director of Oklahoma DHS had a good car and could have easily made the drive to town. This is not meant as a criticism of the parents’ judgment in this matter. I don’t know all the circumstances and have no intention to condemn anyone.

2nd degree burns can impair knees and elbows, shoulders, etc.

Yes, I would like to ask Howard Hendrick how it feels to have accusations called in on him by an anonymous caller. This has happened to us many times by the other grandmother and a step mother. Do you think they put Howard Hendrick through everything they put the rest of us through??? Also a top DHS worker which is a foster parent had a foster child backed over by a car (her husband driving). I know they were devestated but do you think they came in and took her foster children and her own children?? You know they didn’t. But if it had been us they would have taken all children until they did their so called investigation. Gayla Smith

An investigation now thats funny.They say what they want an do what they want with out even lookn at evedance of listening to the whole story an facts.these people need stopped.I also agree with the law being changed if some one gets mad at you they call cps an then even if there is nothing found an you are cleared its still on record people who call in should be held accountable for there actions.

I would also like to add that I know several people who say Howard is a good gut but, that is as close to a presidential pardon as you get, His child wan not taken away and nither was he made to take time out of his schedule to complete counciling. He should have hade to have this matter taken up in a different venue i.e.another state or federal court for him to be accused buy his peirs

I first would like to know if the child was placed in protective custody? Thats what we see as normal in this type of case. However, I think as a dad he should have driven 45 miles, and gotten his son the medical treatment he needed. And in my opinion this is neglect!

Mr. Hendricks, how does it feelto be on the poor side of D.H.S. Why don’t you call your office and complain. After al, these are people you authorized to solve prblems that are your responsability and what our tax dollars are wasred on paying you for. I doubt you would have to wait 1 & a half year and still get no response. I would say welcome to our side of the world.However, I do not for seeyou going thru what our families, children and grandchildren have. See what money can buy you, children. It’s no better than buying babies from black market.

I have been a foster parent for several years. I just went through an investigation and still do not have foster children back in my home. Due to a “cluttered” home. I wish the investigators that decide to make these decisions about our lives would live a day in our lives. I have only heard good things about Mr. Hendricks but, he is just a man. He can make mistakes and probably wishes now he would have taken his son to the hospital. A lot of the times we are judged by the perception of one person the investigator. It is all in the way you percieve things sometimes. I wonder if his stomach churned, or he had several sleepless nights wondering if someone was coming to get his kid’s? Will he get that findings letter? I hope it is not as nerve racking for him as it is the rest of us little people.

Gayla Smith, as it turns out the calls to DHS on Kelsey being abused were not false, now were they? DHS confirmed abuse on Kelsey with the perpetrator of that abuse being your daughter, Raye Dawn, not once but twice. After over 9 months of documented abuse, little Kelsey was beaten to death after being returned to the abusive home of her mother, Raye Dawn Smith, less than 4 mo. before she was murdered. Raye Dawn is now a convicted felon, in Mabel Bassett prison serving a 27 yr sentence for enabling child abuse. She deserved life. My children were taken from me and my husband on december 3rd By DHS, My oldest son is 5 1/2yrs He Jumped over my younger son age 2yrs by accident when he fell on him, He seemed fine to us at the time,two days later He was rushed into the ER at childrens hospital after turning purple unexpectly, It was found that he had been injured and needed emergency sergery it was found that he had had a Gastrointestinal Perforation Our Children were taken from our home at 4am in the morning we were held in oklahoma police custody for over 3 hours being investigated both me and my husband are in college earning degrees my husband is a certifyed emt going to college for his paramedic degree, We are doing everything in our power to regain custody of our children DHS belives that there is no way that a 5 year old could have caused this to my youngest son They belive that My husband has abused Them, He is an emt someone trained to help humans not harm them we are at wits end, DHS is being investigated by so many people and law firms, if anyone has any advice please email me at emt22babygurl@aol.com we are trying everything we can to get our children home.. this christmas will be very sad without our babies at home to see the smiles on their faces when they wake up christmas morning.. to all dealing with DHS god bless and I hope that some light finds you and is able to help you bring your children Home, Happy Holidays

My children were taken from my home at first because they said my home was dirty. I did not fight this and told them I would fix it. Now they say that we beat them with all kinds of objects and shoot them with bb guns. They postponed our initial court date so that the DA could “get more paper work” yet people like this just get a slap on the wrist and told don’t do it again. I have had a long battle with dhs on and off through my kids lives because we are poor. All of this started with my daughter breaking her nose and the adults not knowing exactly what happened. when she went to school she was fine by the end of the day her nose was broken and the police were at my home. How do they get by with saying I’m guilty before I even go to court but this person was innocent.

I heard about this a while back but didn’t realize the investigation was because his sun was burned. This just goes to show how messed up the system is. My children were removed from home over 5 years ago because my youngest son at the time burned his hand. Unlike the director I did get medical attention right away however they removed my children for failure to recive medical attention. How does that work you ask. Well I wish I had the answere for that but I don’t. Since then it has been an up and down battle with Dhs. My children have been placed back in the home several times only to removed 2 to 3 months later. Why? I don’t know all i do know is that DHS keeps coming up with whatever excuse they can think of and when we prove it to be not true they come up with something else. It is never ending. It has been 2years this go round since I have seen or spoke to my children. They live with my mom and she has gaurdianship of them, however, I can’t speak to her eather. DHS will not inform me or my husband of any court dates and the last court date that we went to , which was over a year ago, my dad told me when it was, not DHS. Me and my husband went to the court hearing only to be told we needed to leave. So why didn’t the director of DHS get his child removed and placed in custody. The same thing happend to both of us and I guess if you want to be untouchable from DHS you need to become the Director of DHS right? So why don’t I have my children back? That is what I want to know.
