Until you are one of the unlucky parents, who is rendered to feel helpless and truly know how it feels to have your child removed, you should not even comment. No one who hasn’t dealt with DCFS has the facts necessary to understand how truly evil these people can be. They are all alike as if this cult like mentality has leaked from one brain to another and created an army of anti-family anti children networks. Someone somewhere is making big money. Yes they lie, Yes they pretend they are there to help but don’t fall for it. Say nothing, they build their case by twisting statements made be parents who are trying to cooperate. Shut up shut up shut up say nothing. Opt to refuse any interview and if need be file a declaration of facts with the court clerk to avoid them twisting your statements. Never let them leave with your child and do not let them interview your kids alone. Never consent to anything. Have proof you are a “good” parent recent check ups e.t.c do not let them in your home! Do not consent to a drug test make them get a court order for anything they demand you do. Sign nothing. If you can afford it get an attorney who knows dependency cases. Face it they make money to remove your kids that is how they secure the federal funds. They are required by federal law to exhaust all avenues before removing a child which they need a court order to do by the way. Never trust or obey a single word they say. They are liars and that’s that! If you can site a violation of policy that jeopardizes Federal funding they will drop the petition. An “at risk” household will all of a sudden become safe! Acsert your constitutional rights!!! If you don’t they will trick you into losing your kids forever. Do nothing to suggest “implied consent”!

My wife and I are in the middle of a cps case right now. they have removed my children, delayed the 14 day hearing, allowed my children to be assaulted at thier safe facility, only had 1, 1 hr. visit with our 4 children within the last 4 weeks, denied us even a phone visit with them, lied on thier report, never informed us of our rights, have requested that we just concede to thier every wish because this will ” go a long way in helping us to get our children back” when they shouldn’t have been kidnapped in the first place.

What amazes me is that the ones who are abusing the children and hiding from the system are not the ones who get railroaded but the parents who are trying to follow the rules and be cooperative are the ones that are.

If you ever have the displeasure of having to deal with this Corrupt Proffit System, make sure you involve the police, never talk to them without a lawyer present, and record everything.

jonhnny it’s hard to understand why people do’nt just do away with the cps worker at the door. but we are the ones with compasion. cps workers have no compassion thats why they keep doing this to families, it’s like they get a high from destroying families.

I have to agree with exposing the tuth of cruel intentions of cps. I know that cps workers realy hate the truth then they need to change there ways if thats possible knowing cps. Ive been wondering if cps workers are actually human are programmed machines to destroy innocent lives of happy children and there families ill have to say yes given the circulmstances to what they have done in the last decade or so. Like my sons case it was like that old saying ill wash your back if you wash mine kinda case Im very suprised that cps hasnt provoked a civil war here in the us like that Rodney King incodent.

I am not the parent of a chins child I am a grandmother fighting to try to retrieve my grandson from the prision system called foster care. I have never done anything wrong but I can only have supervised visits with my grandson for 1 hour a month. My grandson, my deceased sons’s only child, whose mother is currently incarcerated until at least 2008 for drug related charges, is not allowed to call me -it is an inconvenience to his foster mother, who is warehousing 10 other children in her 3 bedroom ranch style ( double-wide) home. Foster parenting in the state of indiana is a cottage industry, this foster mother, her mother and sister, as well as her aunt all have foster children for whom they receive a subsidy as well as medical expenses. My little grandson eats his breakfast at school every day , as a foster/chin he qualifies for free meals, his foster mother can’t even feed him before she sends him off to school. I’m sorry but i can’t find the logical, reasonable reason for this to happen. The dcs’s reason for keeping him is that he has 3 half-sibs (different dads) also in foster care with him and they can’t split them up– this is a new twist. If anyone would check I would be willing to bet that 75-80% of foster children have loving , suitable, willing relatives who would care for these children at NO expense to the state. Oh and by the way the federal gov’t gives a subsidy to the states for each child placed in licensed foster care ( most kinship placements aren’t licensed–is it becoming clearer yet)

If you read what both foster parents and birth parents have to say, you start realizing that there is something VERY wrong with the whole system.

Too many kids are yanked out of their homes for trivial reasons, and too many end up slipping through the cracks and being severely abused or murdered.

I think there needs to be some sort of independent investigation of CPS, some kind of review board that does not stand to benefit either way.

To Hanna and Carla,
Your commentary is an insult to falsely accused parents such as myself! My husband and I NEVER abused or neglected our children. OUr case is based on a flimsy neglect charge, and fed on by my mother and her ‘partner’. I hope people like you can live with yourselves. I have lost custody of my 3 children now! They even stole my unborn baby who there was never a case against. How cruel is that? This system sucks and needs to be reformed. Child abuse is a crime and needs to be treated as such. If you do have any integrity, read my myspace, social services suck, and then you can learn all about the injustice my husband and I have suffered and are still suffering!

This was an excellent article.Greg Hession really does a good job of putting things in perspective.Thank you for posting.
The horrors of cps and fostercare are starting to make it to the surface because of the efforts of people like linda and greg Hession and just the increasing number of parents who’s fear has turned into anger and are speaking out.It seems the media is begaining to notice.
I spent time in fosterhell and I got to tell ya, you really have to have some blinders on to think your helping children and families in the least.Abuse is rampant in the system and the only ones who down play it are the ones making money off it.
