To John and Brooke, if you two once tried checking on these so called social workers,( the ones they send out to investigate a referral), educational background on domestic violence,drug abuse, anger management, child care and child abuse, OUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS and its amendments. You’ll find that they have very minimal education if any that would qualify them to remove children from their homes. That’s where the the one thing their good at comes in “LYING”,its also called on the job training. YUP! KEEP GOING OUT THERE TILL YOU GET IT RIGHT!!

I know for a fact that one can refuse this money. We told the state we did not need the money for our granddaughter if she were to come and live with us. However, they wanted us to reconsider. The caseworker suggested we put the funds into savings so that she could have it for college. So John, one can refuse the the states money if you feel financially secure or you can take the money and put it in savings for each of the children you foster.

My family has come under the attack of the cps system. I am not in fear of having my children removed this time, but fear that there will be a next time. Yesterday I saw something from Kim from Iowa and can’t find it today. I am also from Iowa and would like to form a group of people to fight cps. BY the way parents do not give a school psychcoligist permission to see your kids (they are part of this system) And by Iowa state law they can keep secret notes on your kids that you don’t have access to. Could you have anyone from the State of Iowa contact me. legislators and politicians listen to groups of people(voters). thanks David

David, you are absolutely correct that politicans are far more likely to listen to a group of folks rather than an individual family.

May I suggest that Linda’s message board is set up to allow folks to network and to chase CPS’ dirty linen.

Also, parents of Special Ed kids are often far more familiar with what goes on in schools; they are a valuable resource for folks on this group to contact initially.

True psychologists in most states can diagnose. They use DSM-IV codes to classify students and certify them for SpED services.

However, as in all business, they all need *clients* to survive.
Just think VIDEO GAME ADDICTION was proposed to be added to DSM.

My Congress critter did listen when a group of us came to address him.

Folks get your groups going. I believe that is what Linda had in mind when she started this site, close to 8 years ago.

No one is alone. CPS needs *fresh meat * to predate upon.

After all, every parent could CONCEIVABLY DO BETTER BY THEIR KIDS.

And the industry needs their jobs.
