Your ex-girlfriend could come to this site for ideas on how to work her case, but realistically, if the children have been out of her care for an entire year it is already almost over. You are right, this system is hell and it is being run by the forces of evil… what could be more obvious? You have my sympathy on the loss of your daughter and girlfriend. I don’t know of anything you can do now to get your daughter back if your parental rights have been terminated. Stay strong and do what you can to help expose the evil beings that are destroying families. Being anything less than the best you can be would be playing into their hands and letting them win.

PLEASE READ PLEASE!! I had a worker keep my daughter from me and make it impossible to get her home. I had done nothing wrong to have her taking. My daughters mother was what brung dhs in to our lives. People make mistakes I understand but this worker kept my daughter from me for months. Wanted me to do supervised visits and just sit back in the cut. I had been released from prison and completed drug treatment and they wouldn’t even let me participate in family drug court like it was required for the mother. And I volunteered to do the program and the worker said no I just need to let them focus on the mother bc that was the long term goal to get daughter back w mother. And then turned around and told the courts that I was being non complient w n e services offered to me. So not true. This worker denied my mother to have my daughter bc of an owi in the past. She denied my brother to have her bc his wife who he is now divorced with had had a prior dhs case w her son from previous relationship. And she successfully completed all requirements. And same on mothers side. She even went judge shopping after a judge ordered my daughter to be placed back into the care of the family. Days after that was ordered the judge retired and the worker found a judge who overturned the previous judges order to return my daughter to family and kept her in foster care. This woman made it insanely impossible for all of us and I couldn’t take it no more just sitting there and nobody doing nothing while they legally kidnapped my daughter from a loving strong bonded family. So I would lose my temper every time this lady would say what was completely unethical and never in the interests to return my daughter. My lawyer wouldnt even stand up and fight for us. They talked the mother into signing away her rights and bc of my temper w this woman taking my family from me with no real cause and the fact that I thought that there was no way on earth that this would actually be honored by any judge. I was not present for termination, which I regret bc they actually talked the mother into signing away her rights at the hearing. Bc she found a job a career. And the hours conflicted w some classes. Mind you she was dropping clean for quite some time. And meth was why they were on her. Clean from meth and drugs great job. Missed a class or two or whatever, clean and sober and loving it. To sign ur rights away or never see ur daughter again and never have a child in Iowa.!!!!! So she did sign away her rights. I didn’t know!!!!!! My life has never been the same. Matter of a fact I had a girlfriend after all that who had dhs called on her bc of a jealous girlfriend of an ex. Well wouldn’t you know it dhs ended up taking her kids from her for a bowl of weed found in the home. That’s a whole mother story, nobody in the home smoked pot!!! N e way, she still was complient and willing to do whatever at all costs to he her kids back and still is mind u, dhs had the very same worker that took my daughter away from me and my family and had her specifically placed on her case just bc the social worker had history w me!!!!! I didn’t even live at the home of girlfriend or nothing. Matter of a fact it this social worker has prolonged her in getting her kids back just bc I will not participate in services. It’s no that I won’t or didn’t attempt to but the social worker started to do the same things she did to me in my family in my daughters case to the girlfriends case. And if that is. Grounds for a new worker I don’t know what is. I don’t have a rage problem. U when it comes to someone coming and tearing my family apart and now another one well I wouldn’t call it rage I’d call it a fathers intuition to put his foot down to what is wrong and by me doing that IM the one who is wrong. Going on a year now they won’t change worker they made her n I split and don’t believe that we did and she still is only at two two-hour supervised visits a week just bc the case worker will not take her focus off of me. And I’m no longer there in the picture!! And this woman who is still doing everything dhs has asked and then some is prolly gonna lose her kids b of this worker who is not at all about helping families get back together. The worker even told the girlfriend that the reason dhs wouldn’t let my daughter go to my brothers, in my daughters case, is bc he dropped dirty for them!!! The worker told the new girlfriend this stuff that is not even remotely true a all about a prior case which is closed. My brother was never once asked to drop or nothin o the sort for dhs. He was simply denied bc of his ex-wife!!! This social worker is getting away with whatever the hell she wants and at the same time making everyone seem like completely worthless parents or even people. Why has this happened to me? Us? Or even u? What can be done? The one case is still open. She needs help with this! And I would like to know what I can do to reopen my case with my daughter if possible. Not that I wouldn’t do n e thing for my daughter but doesn’t dhs have to have a reason to take ur child from u before they can tell u what to do to get ur child back? This system is worse than hell!! I say this bc that’s what I have pretty much lived in since this one dhs worker has come into my life and tore my family apart and now she is going to get away with tearing another family apart and saying that i am the cause for it. GET REAL!!!! FOR REAL!!!!! HELP!!!!!

Valerie – that’s often what happens. They find out you’re having a problem then kick you while you’re down, like the bullies that they are. Even though you are voluntarily getting help they’ll use that as evidence that their program should be involved – forcing you by court orders to do what you were already doing on your own without their “help”. It is a very abusive system! I encourage you to seek feedback on your case from our message board.

I will be facing Iowa DHS in court jan. 3, 2012. They are attempting to file a CINA on my 15 yr old daughter. She has a drug problem, for 2 months I tried to find a place of treatment for her. It is almost impossible to find an inpatient for adolescents. I took her to the ER thinking they would help find somewhere, they did, I took her there and now DHS is involved because since it was a voluntary committal they think I will remove her. I knew she needed treatment. In their report to the court it seems that they are grasping at straws to make a case against me and they did put in one false statement which I will prove is false. I am going against them on my own and I could use all of your prayers. thanks

Matthew, at this point, filing an appeal is all you can do. Your notice of intent to appeal must be sent immediately. Do not wait. I think in most states this must be done within two weeks. Check with an attorney on Monday.

i am placing a call for help the court has terminated my rights just yesterday i am fialing and apeal but i dont think it is good enough my rights have bean totaly violated how can i get this reversed they did the same thing to my wife saying that becouse she is in a weelchair she cant take care of them i realy need some help my babies are at stake and i am out of ideas

My former CPS worker Rebecca C. Ohton is employed by the Arizona Department of Economic Security (AZDES) in Phoenix, Arizona. She has made numerous false ambiguous accusations about my family in her CPS reports to the Juvenile Courts. During the entire case history she never once attended any visits between my children and I. Not one, and my case started November 2008. She was formally employed as a para-legal, so she is really good at writing. I do plan on suing her for perjury. I am currently appealing my case. I wish I would have known about this site previously, because I know I would have my kids with me right now. I was too busy doing all the CPS Services,I did them all and they did not give my kids back to me.

i would like to know what to do to go about getting my son home. he was taken from me because his dad beat on me. then they put him in the home where his father resides at even after he was accused of abusing our son but was unfounded because he didnt leave a bruise on him. then they told me that if i would give all that i had for my son (his clothes and toys) to the caregiver that it would look good to the judge. but when it came time to tell the judge that i did that it was stated that i didnt have any clothes or toys for my son. to make matters worse i was supposed to have parenting in my home 2 times a week and rather than doing the parenting she would come in and sit at the table and just talk about everything from the weather to her marriage and family accept the parenting and when i would switch the conversation over to parenting she would just ignore me and continue telling me things i didnt want to know or need to know. then she would go to court and state that every time we had a scheduled parenting i would cancel the appointment. when they decided to request tpr they told me that it was because of the fact that they were behind schedule on all the goals they had for my son on his enuresis incopresis(under developed bowel and bladder) and even though it was their fault not mine that they were behind schedule they punished me and went to court to request tpr. they stated that they wanted him to have stability yet he has been moved from foster home to foster home counting about 15 of them. and he has been abused physically, verbally, emotionally and even sexually since being in foster care yet stated that they could do a better job than me on caring for my son

My children were abused while in the foster care. My son and my daughter had marks on their hands while in state custody. I filed a police report andthe police took pictures of my children’;s hand and their face. CPS doesn’t care about what happened.
