Child Protective Services laws and agencies are abusive to families and children. This site provides support and information to parents falsely accused of child abuse by Child Protective Services.
FightCPS does not advocate or condone violence or illiegal activities of any kind.
FightCPS is intended to help people learn enough about the law to be able to successfully defend themselves and their families against false accusations using legal documents and strategies that put parents in a stronger position when they go back to court.
For more information, see the FAQ.
Child Protective Services, CPS, has devastated and destroyed hundreds of thousands of families in America during the last thirty years leaving a trail of broken hearts, broken dreams, and shattered childhoods.
Rather than helping families, government agents have used unconstitutional laws in Juvenile Court to rip children away from their loving parents, break asunder God-given, natural, parent-child bonds, and adopt the children of the grieving out to others who profit financially with large monthly adoption subsidy payments.
Child Protective Services must be stopped! The law that started this, CAPTA, must be repealed. We must work tirelessly to inform the public of this very dangerous travesty of justice. We must keep faith knowing that if there is a God, there is an answer and a way to end this heartache.
Child Protective Services Agents - please come to your senses! Family destruction on false or trivial grounds is wrong, reprehensible, and inhumane.
Fosterers - be aware that for the money you get you are holding much-loved children away from their grieving families while the parents are forced to perform a service plan that is anything but a service to them. I call this hostage holding for the government. This is not kindness - to help misguided government agents destroy family relationships and break loving bonds.
CPS workers and fosterers - I ask that you now let the children of the innocent return to their homes where they are truly valued, adored, and loved by the parents God gave them.
Family rights are God-given rights. And they should not be ignored or postponed. Every moment these loving parents and children spend separated from one another is a torment beyond what anyone should ever have to bear.
It is unworthy of human dignity to allow this terrorism and torture of families to go on without saying something, speaking out, and trying to make a change.
Site mission: To provide information and support for families attacked by Child Protective Services and child welfare agents, especially those families facing false or trivial accusations of child abuse or neglect; and for researchers working to protect natural family rights.

Fighting Child Protective Services False Accusations

March 18, 2007
A Georgia child welfare administrator for the Department of Children and Family Services (DFCS) has been arrested for felony child cruelty according to news reports. The accused woman, Cylenthia Clark, 38, is an assistant director for Fulton County DFCS.
On March 13, 2007 News4Jax.Com published this article:DFCS Official Accused Of Spanking Daughter With Belt. According to this news report the accusation came after school officials reported that the accused woman’s eight-year-old daughter had marks on her back and legs.
The mother apparently has confessed that she forced her daughter to strip down to underwear, then spanked her with a belt. She claims this isn’t child abuse and that it was done because the girl misbehaved at school.
The eight year old girl and her three sisters, ages 6, 5, and 3, have all been placed in protective custody.
Because of this accusation Cylenthia Clark is having second thoughts about how child abuse cases are handled. She is quoted as saying, “It makes me very empathetic; it makes me look at some of the cases that we handle. It’s something that down the line that it’s something that we are really following through and getting all the questions answered before we assume that person is guilty.”
And that’s a good point. Is she guilty? In America we are supposed to be considered innocent before proven guilty, however for thirty years parents have complained that in child abuse cases they are considered guilty first, then forced to prove their innocence. It can be very difficult to prove that something didn’t happen when government-paid experts are saying it could have.
What seems strange to me is that the arrest warrant states that the beating took place on February 7 but the school personnel didn’t see the welts until February 28. That’s 21 days later, and welts were still visible? If that’s correct, the injuries must have been severe.

I believe her. I was terrified of my son when he was on drugs and DFCS protected him. I had to send him to WWASP programs to be safe. I had to spend everything I had. Kids need corporal punishment. My son is a human being now.

State Senator Nancy Shaefer is one legislator who is working towards cleaning up DFCS State wide. Please give her your support.
senatornancyschaefer@alltel.net
And don’t forget to contact the Governor’s Office with your complaints.at 404-656-1776 or fax your complaint with your documentation to 404-657-5947
Keep the pressure on DFCS CPS workers especially. The abuse by DFCS leaves deeper scars than a parent’s spanking will ever leave.
God Bless!

I met Cylenthia and she was not a DFCS worker that went out snatching children. She processed paper work and stuff like that. The fact that she lost her children is an example of how the system eats it’s own. Cylenthia showed support to me as what had happened to us all is horrible. we need to support each other no matter what. Just because she was a social worker does not mean she was evil. There are a few good ones out there and it’s the good ones that suffer just like us.

This is a very sad case. unfortunately this is happening to many people throughout GA and other states as well. I am currently having a run in with DFCS and they tryied to make me give up custody of my kids. Fortunately I was smart enought to do some research and dig up their manual and I did a phone consultation with a Lawyer to educate myself on my rights. For those that need it here is the manual for the GA DFCS http://www.odis.dhr.state.ga.us/3000_fam/3030_cps/MAN3030.doc. There are imbedded links that will tell you wheat to expect of your CPS worker. In the start you need to document everything date, time, names I mean everything. My case worker refused to put anything in writting. I think about the poor parent that might not have known their rights and let some CPS worker trick them into giving up their parental rights or sign some blank form allowing the CPS worker to fill in the blanks. You can cooperate without giving up your rights and your children. The one thing that I want to know that I can’t seem to find out is who regulates this process outside of GA. Is there someone in WA? What is the chain of command for these DFCS office and their CPS workers?

I’m sorry people, but we have documented more then just a (child custody predater),total corruption in every fashion and form with-in the family court system, DFCS and much more.Cooperating is one thing, watching them force you in corrupt procedures to surrender custody of your child(ren) truely is off the charts. We hope to someday tell everyone just what they did to us and what we found out about the judges, attornies. The plaintiffs that kidnapped a child from DFCS in 1981.The real mastermind kidnapper walked free on kidnapping, but charged for selling drugs. Then it happen again every 10 years 93 then 2003,more childrenI targeted. It hurts that no one helped us while this happen in Canton Georgia’s corrupt little world. I could tell you more about this little world of Canton Georgia.Various officials are in a power struggle. They have things to hind.We know a few things.

has anyone asked themselves what happen to children taken by Child Protective Services (CPS)? How many of those children dropped out of school? How many of those kids tried suicide after State took custody or involvement? How many don’t have a place to live? How many of them are strained from their family? Are there real statistical data that answer this? Ms. Clark’s children are suffering. After the State of Georgia closed its case, the mother continues to fight for her children spending 10k of dollars even though the juvenile court returned her kids on paper. Her children went from being A/B student to academic challenges plus emotional deprivation. They went from happiness to misery. The child in the story is truly suffering. Who did GA CPS help? Why are elected officials not calling for statics on the outcome of CPS involvement? The answer is they do not care. Be careful who you elect!

Maybe they will see what they are doing when they are victimizing us with their lies. I am a victim, and my sister helped them to kidnap my daughter.
The only problem is that the judges here are so on the side of DFACS that they won;t listen to the parents, they just rubber stamp the documents and lies the DFACS workers put in front of them.
We need to wake up America and get rid of CPS before we have more problems than we already have.
Children are already killing their parents, who are giving them every thing because we are not allowed to discipline. Children are taking weapons to school because there is no discipline, yet the laws regarding discipline of children are getting stricter.
Where will it end?

I am trying to start a petition to change the laws here in GA in reference to CPS and Rights of the Parents. This is also to address the impartiality in dealing with the judges and judicial system in alleged deprivation cases. I also would like to start a protest here in Georiga. The only road to change is allowing yourself to be heard.

You can choose who you want your children to be with if you do it before they terminate your rights. All you have to do if find a relative or good friend that is willing to adopt them and you do a private adoption. There is really nothing DFCS can do. My case was different due to the fact we were dealing with a mentally challenged person who was threatened by DFCS. I fought the good fight and lost not only my foster children, but many thousands in legal fees. In my case, I’m a foster parent that questioned the unethical practices of our DFCS. They don’t take that too lightly. (Wrong years written on case plans mean every answer after that is wrong) I was in favor of the children having their birth mother in their life. She was mentally challenged and was unable to care for them properly. I even asked to foster her and was told I couldn’t. She needed help and I couldn’t get DFCS to help her either. I was so frustrated with the system and let them know how I felt. When I told the director that I held them responsible for some of the behavior of the children, he sent the caseworker to the school to ask the children if we ever beat them black and blue! I could not believe it. They asked them over and over many, many times and finally one of the children said I swatted her om the behind but it didn’t hurt. When I asked her why she would tell her caseworker that she said because the caseworker would not take no for an answer! That’s all they needed to shut us down. Sickening. I was told by the judge that since they had not terminated the mothers rights we could still adopt the children. We paid for the adoption and thought everything was fine but DFCS told the mother to write us and say she didn’t want us to adopt them. We decided not to go against the mothers wishes, even though as I learned later (and suspected all along) it was a forcefully written letter. With a competent person this would probably not happen. The bio. parent would stand their ground and not back down to DFCS. These parents need to know that they do have some power over DFCS, if only they will do it soon enough, before TPR. Thanks and best of luck when dealing with these incompetent YAHOOS!!

I would like to know how can DFACS come in and talk to children at school or daycare and take pictures without parents even knowing ? How can a judge believe that scars on children come from so called beatings when they are in martial arts most of the week ? How can these people just swoop in and and take children, keep them away from the parents for weeks and a judge go along with it ? A court document states that my son had “old” bruises on him from beatings (what an awful word they use) but there were NO pics taken or proof! He takes martial arts and I have submitted proof even from his instructor, but yet they say it was from beatings. My son wants to come home, he cries everytime I talk to him (without me asking him), but DFACS says he tells them he doesn’t want to.This is unbelievable that this can happen to people. I don’t get it. Our country is on alert for terrorism, but the more harmful threat is in our own backyard with people wanting to steal children from hardworking, taxpaying parents who do all they can to make sure the kids grow up to be law abiding, respectful, productive members that contribute positively to society. When will this madness end ? We must come together as Americans and do something.

I was just told to give my Niece back to my brother tonight. My brother gave my niece to me over 9 months ago because his new wife didn’t get along with her. I thought this was cruel then and still do but I took her with open arms. Her biological mom is a meth addict and does not have custody of her kids. In fact, there is a court order in Cobb County that states the only contact she is allowed to have with her daughter is through the school with supervision. Anyways, to do the cliff notes. My brother, instead of spending money to terminate all the mothers rights has now all of a sudden decided that he no longer loves his child and doesn’t want to spend any more money in court so he is just going to hand her over to her mom and walk away. Hello! The mother has failed 3 drug tests in the last year! And the last time her daughter stayed with her (6 years ago) she was molested by one of her drug dealer boyfriends! Now that she is 12 and developed what will happen??? So DFCS was notified with hopes they would stop this and protect the child. Instead, they have said we are in the wrong and we need to let the child go. In the year she has been with us, for the 1st time she is passing all her classes (had straight F’s when we got her), is healthy looking and has built up her self – esteem. DFCS in Cobb County, you are right – our environment is much worse. We don’t drink, smoke or do drugs. We are small business owners and have a nice home. We love our kids and her.. Yes let’s put her back into the drug infested, unsafe environment. Well, when my niece ends up pregnant, dead or a drug addict I hope you can look at yourself in the mirror.
