But that's probably not the reason they turned the tables on you and called CPS. They did that because the state's mandated reporter law probably requires them to report every "suspicion" (That's the wording here in California.) If they have a "suspicion" they have to make a report or if they don't, they can be prosecuted. So they dumbly go along with this to protect their jobs, thinking "it is no problem to the families, if they are innocent nothing bad will happen." They don't understand (or care about) the stress they cause us, the fact that some children are removed from their homes unjustly. All they want to do is protect themselves.
