Nice seven day notice to attend. This made my eldest who "began" it all so depressed she attempted to kill herself last night and is now in a facility but alive. Thank you. I was not notified until hours later by the babysitter. My teens had become angry and accused my husband (their step father) of horrid things. For the past two years (just about) we have gone to court in PA over and over only to watch our relationship with his blood daughter and my son deteriorate. I have since had my eldest return and am in the progress of awaiting my second born to turn 18 so she can return home as well. Criminal charges were not only dropped and done so that he could never be charged, but the Judge who handles our placement hearings signed off on his expungement paperwork. On July 20, 2010 three of the children took the stand (the ones that made the accusations) and under oath stated they had fabricated everything....yet PA kept our children in Foster care. My son, now 16, while living at home was a outgoing active young man. He now is on major medications that no one under the age of 18 should be taking and has tried to commit suicide multiple times. So he now is AGAIN locked in a psychiatric facility with NO contact with myself. I am tired and wore out, but I will continue to go to every single court date that they actually notify me of in a timely manner since I no longer reside in PA. it hurt too much to be in a place that decided to steal my heart and shatter it to the point that I wanted to end my own life. But that's probably not the reason they turned the tables on you and called CPS. They did that because the state's mandated reporter law probably requires them to report every "suspicion" (That's the wording here in California.) If they have a "suspicion" they have to make a report or if they don't, they can be prosecuted. So they dumbly go along with this to protect their jobs, thinking "it is no problem to the families, if they are innocent nothing bad will happen." They don't understand (or care about) the stress they cause us, the fact that some children are removed from their homes unjustly. All they want to do is protect themselves.
